Stayed here to view the eclipse and it was ideal. Amazing view of the mountains. 10/10, would love to go again.

The house was as advertised, clean, and totally seamless check-in/check-out. Judi checked in on us and was available for any help. Loved the electric fireplace, the hot tub, and the fantastic view of Whiteface. Beds were comfortable. House was well equipped with basics like toilet paper, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, and bar soap. The lower level is significantly cooler than the upstairs, especially when running the fireplace--warmer linens would be a good addition. And while there was plenty of room to sleep our group of 11, and a great large dining table, the living area is pretty small and only seats 6. We only used the kitchen for breakfast--it was well-equipped, but tight to cook for 10+. Super convenient to Whiteface--would stay again!

Overall a fantastic stay! The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped for a great stay. With stunning views, it was the perfect place for a weekend getaway.

Absolutely everything about our stay was beyond perfect! Communication from beginning to end was super easy and flawless. The house itself was just as pictured, except the view in person, a photo can't possibly capture and do it justice. The view is absolutely breathtaking! It felt like we could almost touch the mountains! The hot tub and sauna were such a bonus and made our time there even more enjoyable. The house and property were immaculate, super clean, and inviting. We pack a lot. So, the large foyer was wonderful to accommodate all of our extras. Can't thank the hosts enough for sharing their beautiful home with us. We had an amazing time and are very much looking forward to coming back! This home is definitely a solid five star + !!

My family and I had the best time at this location! The views are unbelievable, it was clean, so peaceful and still close to everything. Our only complaint was how hot and uncomfortable the basement got even though it got down to the high 30s at night. Other than that, we will definitely be back!

All I can say is this property was absolutely beautiful, the hosts were amazing in answering questions and so helpful throughout the whole process.
We rented this house to elope in the Adirondacks with a few friends and it was beyond anything I could have imagined. The guys loved the sauna, girls in the hot tub, it was the perfect place for all of us to sit, relax, and get away from all the stresses of life and celebrate our marriage. The house everything we needed, and we could not have asked for better scenery for our day. We set up an arch in the yard with the mountain views and it was absolutely stunning. Our Sheppard mix absolutely loved sunbathing on the deck and chasing rocks in the river as well. I cannot wait to get the pictures back from the weekend to see us and our friends enjoying this beautiful amazing house. I also cannot wait to book it again as we all agreed it's perfect for our yearly friends trip!
This house is also a very short drive to Whiteface Mountain and I highly recommend taking a ride up the elevator to the peak it is absolutely stunning.

This property is in a beautiful location and convenient to lots of nearby activities. The setting is idyllic with a view of the mountains. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, kicking back on the deck, and the kids especially loved the hot tub. One of the best parts was access to the Ausable River. Yes the path gets muddy, but wear water shoes (you will need them in the river) and get out there. It's incredible to enjoy the river and surroundings all to yourself and we spent a lot of time just standing in the water, sitting on rocks, and chatting. Felt like we were in Montana.
The house itself was great for a wide variety of sleeping arrangements and the foam mattresses are really comfortable too. The downstairs was loud for me, as you can hear people walking above, but didn't bother others who are not such light sleepers.
Some highlights for activities included visiting the Wilmington Flume (which was raging from all the rain), and a trip to Split Rock Falls which had crystal clear water. We hiked in Keene and drove to the top of White Face (incredible! take the rocky trail not the elevator to the summit!). Another tip is to rent paddle boards/canoe/hydrobikes from Wilmington Town beach and explore down the right side of the river. You really feel like you're out in nature. Overall, this is a great base to experience the Adirondacks and some of us said it was our best family trip yet!

We had a great time. The host communication was quick, the check in process was super easy. Great area. Was able to accommodate our family / friends.

When we pulled up we noticed how amazing the views were of the property - You look right at Whiteface and Esther Mountain. the walk down to the Ausable was great too. We did have an issue with cleanliness when we went inside, but the owners were responsive and showed up right away. It is great for a family, but if you are a large group of adults, bring a cooler as there is only one fridge. Having a gas grill would be a plus instead of the charcoal but otherwise it was a great place!

We spent a great time in family- I will strongly recommend that chalet!

The views are breathtaking!!! Unobstructed views!! Watch the sunrise from the deck, the sauna, or the dining room table. Enjoy sunset as you bbq over charcoal. And the stars at night!!!!
On a quiet and private road. The kitchen is well equipped. The chalet is clean and the beds are comfortable.
What a beautiful place to spend our 30th anniversary!! Thank you to Judi who was so quick to respond to any inquiries and who took care of us so well.

The breathtaking view of Whiteface and proximity to skiing are well worth the price of admission. We loved the hot tub and sauna. Great for two families. Excellent communication with host.

So this home is a perfect home to getaway for few days. It’s an older house and needs some updating as you can feel wind coming through living room windows and main master bedroom but over all beautiful home with perfect view to the mountains. if you love skiing, 5 min a away from the mountain to ski. House was clean, had everything for cooking and sleeping. The only thing we didn’t like that some ternometers in some rooms were set up to 63 even if you raise the temperature it goes down low. It was very cold weekend so it’s was very cold at night at the rooms and blankets were thin. Jacuzzi and sauna were very nice but both would get easily cold so you can’t stay long. Over beautiful experience and definitely come back again with our own warmer blankets. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a great time over Christmas when we stayed in The Whiteface Chalet. Very well equipped house, the only thing we missed at times was a bigger space for socializing. Also, only 11 barstools around the kitchen island when advertised to be set up for 12. The jacuzzi, sauna and steam shower were amazing to come home to after skiing every day.

This house literally had EVERYTHING we were looking for as our Adirondack adventures basecamp! Amazing views of Whiteface and surrounding mountains from the deck off the back of the house, which also boasted a hot tub, sauna, and nearby fire-pit that helped us wind down every night after our days adventures. The inside was modern and clean with plenty of rooms for 4 adults and 4 children under 6, and the beds were very comfortable, almost seemed new. Plenty of space for the kids to run and play, both inside and out! The gas fireplace in the living room was awesome to sit by in the mornings and sip coffee. The property itself has a river on it that is just a short walk down a hill from the the back yard which again offered pristine views of the surrounding mountains and fall foliage! The property owners/care-takers keep firewood stocked on the premises that you can purchase so youre not driving around looking for wood. There really isnt anything I wouldve changed or added to our stay at the Algonquin Mountain Chalet! The property owners/caretakers really seemed to have everything taken care of to give their renters the best stay possible. Will definitely return to this house or one of their other 9 properties for our trip next year!

Group ranged from 26 to 90. Accommodations were very comfortable for our group of nine. Kitchen well stocked and dining table fit everyone. Deck and beautiful view were the highlight. Enjoyed hiking, Lake Placid boat tour and town, Memorial Veterans Highway to Whiteface and local winery and brewery. Wonderful Adirondack Adventure.

Enough space for our group, which ranged in age from 4 to 80 years old. Beautiful view of Whiteface. Spent each night having a big camp fire. Would rent again.

Ten of us had a wonderful week in this beautiful vacation home. It has everything we could image needing - fully equipped kitchen, tv in every bedroom (and the living room), open living area with a table that seated all of us, hot tub, sauna, free internet, and a spectacular view of Whiteface mountain. It is perfectly maintained and the owner/manager responded quickly to a couple of questions we texted. It's located very near many amazing Adirondack activities. We all climbed a mountain, swam in several natural water locations, visited a wild life refuge, and ate at a some great restaurants.

Beautiful setting with Whiteface mountain in full view. The home had plenty of room for 4 families and the downstairs was the perfect setup for a family with little ones. Would highly recommend this property for a vacation rental anytime of the year.

Beautiful Chalet
This was the perfect place for me and my friends! The view was beautiful, as was the chalet! We loved being able to use the hot tub and sauna, and Judi was an amazing host! I definitely will be staying at one of their properties again!

Wonderful stay; beautiful views!
Our family of five (all adults) stayed here for three nights in mid-October. The back porch view was phenomenal and we luckily still had plenty of fall colors. The hot tub and sauna we're wonderful. The inside was clean and had a nice "lodgy" feel. Only negative was the hiking path out back came to a quick end at the river bank (but we were still only minutes drives away from other great hikes). We will consider this property again for future getaways.

This house met all of our needs. We stayed with 12 people (9 adults, 3 kids (infant, 5 & 8) and everyone was happy. The downstairs room was a big surprise. It was huge! It was perfect for the kids to play in when they weren't outside.
The kitchen had everything you could possibly think you would need in a kitchen. I am used to traveling with certain kitchen necessities (sharp knife, good frying pan) and none of them were necessary. You obviously need to bring your own spices and food.
The 2 bathrooms that are upstairs are both hallway bathrooms. Only the downstairs bedroom (2 queen beds) has a bathroom attached to it. It was very helpful to have the washer and dryer.
Everything was as pictured and described. Yes... it is a walk down to the river and yes you need boots or water shoes for the swampy part but once you get there it is well worth it. Our kids had a great time at the river, unfortunately with them splashing around, no one caught any fish. The walk up can be tough since you are going up hill.
It was unbelievable quiet and peaceful and the view was breathtaking.

The location of this rental couldn’t be better. It is literally a 5 minute drive to Whiteface. The house was impeccably clean. The basement was great for a bunch of teenagers wanting to relax together, and there were plenty of bedrooms upstairs for the adults in the party. The kitchen was well appointed with everything one might need. There are no spices, oils, or basic foods of any kind available, however. I understand that this helps keep everything clean and tidy, but salt, pepper, sugar and oil are basics that are appreciated when provided. The beds were a bit hard for my preference, but the sheets and pillows were perfectly clean and soft. Sitting in an easily operated hot tub watching shooting stars after a full day of skiing was fantastic. Overall, this was a nice vacation rental in a fantastic location, and everything worked well and was as advertised. We would stay here again, thank you.

Great location and view!
This property had a beautiful view and great location. It is a short drive from many big attractions such as Whiteface Mt, High Falls Gorge, Jay Covered Bridge and Lake Placid. We stayed here with family over Labor Day weekend. Six adults and two children under ten. The house (kitchen and living area) was smaller than we expected but still worked out well. There were plenty of bedrooms and the back deck with the hot tub and fire pit were a huge plus. On one side the fire pit is very close to the edge of the property so be careful if you have younger kids. The hot tub was very clean. However we found the floors of the home to be dirty and sticky. The access to the river is much more difficult than the description listed. Bring old boots or wear rain boots when walking to the river. The first part of the path is nice and flat but it gets more difficult the closer to the river you get. Once you arrive at the river it is a beautiful place for pictures and wading in the water. My daughters enjoyed playing with the rocks and walking in the shallow part. We enjoyed our stay and how private the property was. Be sure to check out the Adirondack Chocolate Shop and North Pole General Store which are both close to the house and have great souvenirs.

Tremendous view of Whiteface and surrounding mountains. The bedrooms are spacious. Great isolated location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Best views!
Amazing location, very private and the views of Whiteface and surrounding mountains made the trip. Ample parking and grounds for lawn games. Plenty of space inside too. The lower level was perfect for the teens. It would be great to add some bunk beds in the back room. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of AC and fans to cool off on hot days. Well stocked kitchen.
Could use a few more chairs around the fire pit. The deck was expansive but would be concerned about smaller children due to lack of railing. It’s a short walk to the river but be prepared to get muddy but worth checking out. . Wish the walk was a little more accessible by adding more rocks and logs.
Overall we had a great time and would definitely rent this house again!

Family Christmas Gathering
What a fabulous holiday at this beautiful home! We had family come from Maine, California, Delaware and a Pennsylvania to celebrate Christmas. The home was perfect with plenty of very comfortable beds, three bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, beautiful scenery, fabulous hot tub and incredible steam “hut”! It was located very close to White Mountain for all of us to ski. Many hiking trails were near which we accessed! Lake Placid was a short ride away and a great place to walk , eat, shop and socialize! It was the perfect place in the winter. I would highly recommend vacationing here winter or summer!
