We have stayed at Edensee a few years ago and wanted to go back again this lunar new year. Breakfast has plenty of choices and foods are pretty good. Landscape is very beautiful and well maintained. Staff is friendly (in particular Mr. Duc, the driver). The Sakura Festival, offered free to guests, is very interesting and a good initiative (staff at the event is very friendly and helpful).
The coffee machine has been broken during my stay. Dinner has limited choices, except the special offers for Tet season which we found the portion is too much in terms of food and price for a dinner. The swimming pool has no warm water anymore as a few years ago.
I received an email from the Hotel manager informing that there would be a "mandatory" Gala Diner at a price of VND850,000/pax. I replied to them saying that I do not want to pay for anything "mandatory" and would be happy to consider joining the event if it is optional. Receiving my reply (via booking.com), the hotel kept silent since then without saying a word. They even did not mention the Gala Diner at the reception when we checked-in. I expected they would send us some apologies or some explanation but it seems that the hotel is not as "professional" as I expected.

Beautiful surroundings
The rooms were not welcoming, or very practicable, uncomfortable pillows, and outdated

The nature and views around the resort are amazing and the facilities of the resort are also quite good. The room is big, clean, and has a luxurious feeling in its interior. I liked walking in the woods and near the lake. They also have free billiards, tennis, and some other activities, but the ones that are outside are not easy to use in this part of the year because of multiple rain showers per day.
The price, compared to some neighboring resorts, was super good too.
My room was in the La Roseraie (Spa) building and though the LAROSE room was perfect, it was not sound-proof. In the lobby of that building block, there are some chairs and a table where guests can sit, and a big group of people were eating and playing games there for several hours, speaking loudly, and their children were running around and screaming all the time, and I hear all it like it is in my room. I planned to enjoy forest sounds instead.
About the resort itself, I did not like the menu in the restaurant. Maybe for Vietnamese people, it is okay but for Western food, there are not many modern choices on the menu and the authenticity of the recipes they use is questionable. Also, no pastries and no Asian cuisines other than Vietnamese. No matcha latte. If I wanted to eat yummy food I had to go somewhere else to eat, but the resort is located far away from everything and Grab does not find any cars there as well, not so convenient. They have a free bus to the Dalat city center but it goes only 3 times per day at not-so-convenient times for me, so I used a taxi and had to pay significant amounts of money to go anywhere. But if you have your own transport then maybe it is not a big deal.
The schedule of breakfast for me is too early. I come to this resort to relax and want to sleep more than on work days so I wake up around 9.30-10 am but there is already no breakfast at that time. I know it is the same in many other hotels in Vietnam so maybe it is considered acceptable by most guests. But if they would have a prolonged breakfast time until 11 a.m., it would be super great for people like me.
The drain in the shower was clogged.
Sorry for writing too many negative points but it is a five-star resort so I expected a bit more than what I have got there. If it was a 3-star hotel then I would just accept it.
4.1
Location, the lake, restaurant
Room under reception, at lower floor, actually at basement. Peacocks were pooping everywhere around and very noisy. Near staff place so staff smoking near by.

Beautiful place
Unprofessional staffs, working process is so bad
4.1
Beautiful, stylish and quiet remote location at mountain lakeside within only 20 minutes from DaLat center.
Helpful staff, good kitchen.
4.1
The lake and the surrounding. The ample choice of breakfast buffet
Too far from main building and lobby. Isolated
4.1
Comfortable junior suite , good view and fire place surrounding and cool weather!
Breakfast was excellant with good choices and spread
Restaurant serve good portion of food. There are few dishes that is so good. Like the prawn porridge n stir fry mustard
Free 3 times scheduled shuttle to town and lake
Buggy ride to your room.Massive land good for strolling and exercises.
Kayak , Swan peddle, archery one complimentary activity.
Greenary n flowers surounding with sight of deers and peacocks very close to nature.
Expected of 5☆
Could have more entertainment like a music lounge or activities.
Spa atmospheres could have been more like spa with light music and aroma smell.

Peaceful, beautiful scenery. Staffs were polite and helpful. The room was clean.
Both shower room and sink are clogged. Water flooded my feet when showering. Feel disgusting thinking about things in the sewage was mixing into the water that was covering my feet. The sink took the whole night to drain. 🤮
They charged me for towel “special treatment” because little blood accidentally got to the towel when I dried my body after showing.
Breakfast had a variety of dishes but the taste was not good. We had dinners at it’s restaurant just because there wasn’t any other restaurant around here. Need a better cheft.

*Scenic landscaping and tranquil hidden place to get away from urban air
*Caring and helpful onsite staff
*This is a large place, but good thing is they have 24/7 electric suttle car to take you around within the resort. Just a call and they will come to your room.
*Love the daily suttle van taking us back and forth between the resort and city area
*Restaurant menu is not too fastastic but covers most of the must-try local dishes in Da Lat.
* Should be consistent in booking info commited. I booked a double bed for a family of 2 adult and a 3-yr toddler, appeared to stay in twin bed room instead. Asked for rearrangement and some guys showed up to move these two bed closer together, which caused my back-ache due to the uneven bed surface at the middle area where two bed met.
* this is not something I don't like but something you should be aware that the resort sits deep in the Tuyen Lam Lake area, which is very far away from city center (took us 30 mins to drive). But it perfectly fits our expectation to stay in such remote area.
* room facility is a bit aged but in good condition. No complaint.

The place stay inside the pine trees forest, fresh and very quiet, many groups of guests, very crowded but people very polite and gentle, no messing, receptionist organized well for everyone to check in and out.
Bed sheet and pillows smelly, they have not changed new one, smelly, we tried to use but can not stand its smell then I have called to ask for pillows cover changed at 23:00.
The bathtub still have dirt and hair left. I have cleaned myse before used.
Anyway the bed and bathtub look clean but it’s not clean at all.

everything

Great stay. Our room was HUGE, recently fully refurbished, bathroom was like new. Health facility equipment was also brand new and extensive. Dining room was well laid out and breakfast was very good each day.
Our stay could have been longer. There could also be more options for times for the courtesy shuttle into Dalat.

Staff needs to be more friendly and smile more , they look not happy working there !
4.1
the hotel was super grand and the location and grounds were absolutely stunning. pines trees and beautiful flowers everywhere. the location was right on the lake and it was incredible. the short E-boat trip is a must. free shuttle to town and breakfast was impressive!
the pool was freezing cold and a bit tired. the whole spa block and terrace is in need of renovating and updating. it needs updating to bring it in line with the rest of the hotel. no wine by the glass at dinner was a miss but the food was good and reasonable priced.
4.1
The beautiful surroundings were magical. pine forests and the lake with walks and lots to do nearby. the hotel was enormous, the room huge, so much space everywhere! the facilities at the lake were great too.
the swimming pool needs a little attention. it’s clean and huge but it looks a bit tired.
4.1
Fantastic building and friendly staff
The hot water pressure need to improve
Beds were not soft
When having a shave, the mirror is opposite to the basin making the whole process messy
4.1
Beautiful resort and scenery, nice well-kept gardens with many activities to do, such as kayaking, canoeing, archery, pool, billiard, ping pong, tennis. Love the hiking trails around the lake and the lake view and pine hills. The peacocks roaming around the resort are quite amusing and fun to see. Amazing variety of food for breakfast every day. Staff was nice and responsible.
Need more variety of food and restaurants. It's in the middle of the woods, so there are no other food options around, not easy to get food except to eat in the resort restaurant which is pretty pricey and quite slow. It would be nice if they have a little convenient store in the property that sells snacks and drinks.
