The location is excellent, friendly staffs from reception, to restaurants, to the ground maintenance and cleaning staffs. The supervisors that I dealt with were all extraordinary... Thumbs up to the Chefs & Supervisor Urba.. for the special night dinner offered during my stay and a memorable one too. I can still the flames!!! The blend of modernity with nature is another interesting feature about this Great Rift Lodge... Keep it up.
The poor internet in the accommodation areas and of course the mosquitoes...

This is our second time coming here. The lodges were nice with an amazing view. Nothing to complain there.
Their restaurant was nice with a good selection in their buffet and the staff were going out of their way to insure that we enjoyed our stay.
They didn't have a massage/spa the first time we went there. But this time they had this option, but tbh, I wish I didn't get that massage. It was one of the weirdest experiences. The lady wasn't very friendly, and after the massage was done she just went away without saying anything so I ended up laying there not knowing what to do. (I think she was also one of the shop owners there.)
Other than that, our experience was good.
Oh, and one minor gripe. They have a pool but the water is very cold. I don't know why they can't heat it up. Otherwise you can only quickly dip in it and run out to warm up on the sun.

Breakfast was excellent, a good variety of items to choose from my family enjoyed it.
CARA was of good help too
From a meat lover's perspective dinner didn't have enough options.

The Great Rift Valley lodge was great :) There’s nothing else to add. We visited it in Feb of 2022 for the Valentine’s day and I couldn’t have had a better time. See pictures to find out for yourself.
Here’s my pros and cons:
Pros:
- We had a really cool view from our lodge/room. This just beats it all. See the pictures.
- The lodge had all the conveniences: fast WiFi, hot walk-in shower, small fridge, coffee/tea and water kettle, mosquito nets. It had no TV, but who needs a TV these days. The WiFi is fast enough for you to watch Netflix or YouTube.
- Then the resort itself has a swimming pool, a golf course, two restaurants, bars.
- You can also engage in outdoor activities, like animal watching (a “game drive”, I guess what they call it.) See the listing in my pictures.
- We chose to ride bicycles. They have nice and safe paved roads around the complex.
- There’s a lot of good food offered in their free (included) buffet, or in the Ala-cart menu. The service was great overall. (Except maybe one waiter that was too obsequious.)
- It is fairly reasonably priced for the services and amenities provided.
- It is not far from Nairobi. Maybe an hour drive by car. We went with an Uber.
Cons:
- Water in the swimming pool was somewhat cold.
- The reception area needs some improvement. When we pulled up with our luggage, we had to go look for someone to check us in. It is also kinda dark and the heavy plexiglass doesn’t make it look welcoming. And the ladies at the reception weren’t very friendly.
- They didn’t have a spa to get a massage.

The hotel was great.
The staff at the front desk need to learn a thing or two on customer service.

customer service was poor! we couldn’t pay in dollars as per our booking!
we were allocated a room we didn’t book.

Staff- great courtesy and ready to help any time.
The room is waaaayyyy below standard. No value for money at all. You could get a similar room in a two star hotel for 1/4 the price

Beautiful place with excellent customer care services. However the booking.com should stop charging Kenyans using dollars! The difference is quite huge basing on the fact that the shilling isn’t doing so well against the dollar.
I liked everything about the place

The property amenities and staff were excellent. Keep it up!
The only downside was ventilation in the room as it did get quite hot at night and we needed to open windows

The staff were very helpful, the ambience amazing and the golf course was very good
