Perfect als uitvalsbasis om het Lago Maggiore te verkennen.

Het hotel heeft een grote parking op wandelafstand. Je mag 20 minuten voor de deur parkeren om je bagage in en uit te laden. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Uitgebreid ontbijt met veel vers fruit.

Er waren werken aan de gang vlak voor het hotel. Die belemmerden een beetje het uitzicht op het meer.

An excellent choice for those who want to travel around the surroundings and the islands of Maggiore

Excellent helpful staff - above all praise, good breakfast, convenient location - close to the pier, beautiful view of the lake

There is a road in front of the hotel along the entire lake - it's noisy. And it is also very noisy from the music from the bars and cafes downstairs - until late at night, it is not possible to sleep with open windows, the windows must be closed.

Very comfortable, absolutely recommended

We were given a more spacious room, with lakeview. Staff was very friendly, also getting some hot water to make tea at night. Bathroom was very comfortable, everything well kept. Bed was great. The location couldn't be better, although the street noise level is considerable.

Nothing really, except maybe the somewhat noisy ventilation/heating/cooling system. It would be great if an electric kettle to prepare tea would be available in the room.

Very nice hotel , fair cost considering the high season

Location excellent with lake view room; room very large and confortable. Personnel very friendly and kind.

Great place to stay!

Lovely accommodating and friendly staff,fantastic location. Room was comfortable with great view of the lake and good breakfast in the morning. We would come back here again :)

Very uncomfortable stay. I would never stay here again.

The room was large

The beds were very uncomfortable. I had pains in my back the next day. We didn’t even have a glass in the room to drink some water. The street was very noisy so that I couldn’t sleep.

We felt welcome and the town is full of little gems to discover. Lovely friendly bars and restaurant

The Intra was perfectly placed on the main shopping area opposite the lake and a short stroll to the ferry terminal for Island hopping. The receptionist Alessandra understood my request perfectly and emailed immediately She arranged for adjacent upgraded rooms for a small fee and gave us a view of the lake at sunrise and sunset. There is a lift in the lovely old building and the rooms were newly refurbished bright and very spacious.(ours could easily have slept 6) and cleaned daily. In fact all staff (24hour) were warm friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh hams cheeses and pastries. Off site parking for our hire car was in a secure car park.

The new beds were pretty firm and the pillows were a little unforgiving.

Not really deserving three stars IMHO

+ Location is good - as advertised it is right on the passage to the lungolago of Intra. - Be aware, young people party late into the night in the piazza here!

Poorly furnished room, terrible beds and worse bedding, not very clean, tiniest shower I've ever crammed my large frame into, very poor amenities like soap & shampoo, no facial tissues at all, no place to sit down in the room other than on the beds, two superfluous single beds in our room (I had booked a lake-view double, not a quad), bathroom linens literally threadbare, no wash cloths in bathroom, extremely mediocre breakfast by Italian standards... I know it's not their fault that the last hotel I stayed at in Val Gardena was superb and deserved more then the four stars it had. But still the contrast was shocking, and I feel very disappointed with Hotel Intra. Next time we're in Verbania we'll be staying elsewhere...

Friendly staff. Great location in town center next to esplanade and piazza etc

Shower head broke before being used (showered with hose only.) AC didnt work (esp a burden since room was on highest floor under roof and warm). Furniture/appliances are rather dated. Mould in fridge

Excellent, clean amenities with friendly staff an excellent central location.

The location was excellent. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and well maintained. The room had an excellent view of Lake Maggiore. The hotel was located amongst the main restaurant and bar area.

There was no on-site parking, but there was free secure parking 650m away.
