Close to the train station for an overnight stopover.
The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets unclean

Really close by to the train station. Excelent for those who have to leave next day in the morning.
I was given a double room but -eventhough there were no smoking signs- the room stinked in cigar smell, I couldn't stand it and had to ask for a change of room. Sadly the new room given was much smaller than my original one :(

Excellent value, very clean and warm.
The decor wasn't perfect but the price was!

Well there wasn't really anything to life let me think about it there was no lift I had to climb up 100 steps I had to walk through a really unfavorable neighbourhood so know there was nothing you could like about this hotel.
The only thing I liked with the price and the fact that I left the property in one piece I opened the windows to find builders building on a hanging balcony next to me waving I left and coronavirus quickly for Rimini

Basic simple room with no view to speak of, no frills but clean, quiet with a comfortable bed and working TV.
Opposite the main station on a fairly busy road but as the hotel is on the 1st floor and my room faced the back of the building it was very peaceful. The staff are helpful and the restaurant next to the hotel serves one of the best pizzas that I have eaten in Italy.
I had to change my dates and the staff did so with no fuss at all.
Excellent value for money!
No complaints at all.

The shower pressure and the bidet.
Linnen was clean.
It was cheap.
No lift, noise from traffic, no airco, no fridge, really hard mattress, smelt musty in the room, no help carrying our bags.
Probabky should have paid a bit more and gone somewhere else!!

Very simple and minimal. Excellent value in low price and two steps from the train station.

People were nice and the structure was clean, super bear to the station, comfortable for people who need to rush away after the trip
It's a little bit old style, there is something that could be better, but it's a two star hotel, so it's fine anyway! The fact that it is near the station can be also a con, since in the evening there are lots of people that don't look "reassuring" let's say

Room and bathroom very clean. Wonderful location, just across the main train and bus station. My flight from London was delayed, I arrived late to Ancona, It was nice to see a receptionist welcoming.

The hotel was adequate for what we needed for the night we spent there. A bed, a toilet and a shower. The staff was lovely and helpful. The room was clean enough and they accepted our puppy without fuss.
The exterior and interior is severely outdated. There was no air-conditioning, and the noise from the street felt like it was inside the room as there wasn't any soundproofing. We only had a table fan that didn't reach the whole room. The bathroom/shower was a remodelled wardrobe it seemed, but it was enough. The staff although lovely and helpful, don't seem to take reviews well, as they replied to my google review that they thought the 2 stars were too low if they were so lovely. Well, there were 2 people of staff that we met, and they're the ones that got the stars, as the hotel didn't earn any. However, I knew when booking that I shouldn't expect the Plaza. It is a 2 star hotel in a sketchy neighborhood across the train station of Ancona, and near the harbor, and it was good enough for what we wanted at the time. The staff should just not have delusions about their establishment, however lovely they were, they can't make up for the condition of the hotel. The night costed us 72 euros, including the charge for our puppy - which I considered it a bit high for what we got (just by making comparisons to other hotels I've stayed in while travelling in other countries - as an example Astoria Hotel in Heraklion Crete - Greece, a 4 star hotel that costed us 85 euros a night and offered A/C, free Wi-fi, amazing decoration, rooftop pool and bar, plus free breakfast.)

Only the bed
There was not air-conditioned. It was too hot inside and noisy outside
The price was too high for this room.

It’s fine for a night. Room was big enough and bed was comfy. Lights, shower and fan work.
Area is dodgy, I had to run from being mugged not far outside.
Staff are not friendly and they make you give your room key in when you go out of the hotel.
Rooms have no AC, but have fans.
Generally very old and outdated
Not very clean, hair in the shower and on pillow

Situated very near the train station and local restaurants
This run down dump doesn't deserved to be called a hotel. The interior is in a very very poor state of repair. See photos. On arrival the man at the “ reception " ( which was a cornered off area between the floors) looked disgruntled to have to have served me ,he also looked in a poor state of repair. The one man who spoke french to me was however very nice . His first words to me were "pay " and check out 10 ! On closer examination I realized he charged 2 euros to much. This is not a hotel but on the booking com official photos a restaurant is to be seen ,this is a lie ,it does not exist so I guess.they are using fake photos .The room had dirty scummy walls ,the bathroom mould, green stuff in the sink and the shower head was alive . The WC was out of the 60s and truly stained . All in all a terrible experience, I advise stay away from here and the positive reviews can only be fake . I am a seasoned traveler having travelled all over the world on a budget . This dump should have cost 10 euro a night max not 40 !!i I'll be reporting this dump to booking com for review and also the Ancona tourist board.

It was a very simple but great for the value hostel, clean and a great location with a lot of transport around to get you in any part of the city you need to be.
Would be nice to have a kettle in the room for water boiling and a tea mug.
