The building is lovely, lots of steps but plenty of handrails. There is a terrace so you can sit outside. The staff are super friendly and available for anything you need. You are given a code so you can come and go when you want and the parking is close by.
There was a heater in the room so you have heat when the heating is off. There was a fireplace in the room although it was blocked off and not usable. Plenty of character and furniture. There was also a good sized washbasin in the room.
The en-suite, which was not pictured, (the others pictures looked more adequate) is basically a closet . Very small with little room to maneuver. The sink would be no use for washing (there is a bigger one in the room) and when you take a shower you have to leave the room to dry off. The water at the bigger sink had to be left to run for a very long time before the hot water came through.

Good location, good value, and clean.

Excellent accommodation in middle of the town
Maybe the stairs up to the room were a little tight

This was a beautiful atmospheric single room, decorated with real attention to detail. Although situated in the town, it was very quiet and staying in the old converted Court House was a wonderful experience. So often when travelling as a single person I find single rooms to be a little less luxurious than doubles - but this was the exception, and I really appreciated the care that went into making my stay memorable.

I am always intrigued by what is able to be achieved in very old buildings. Our room was well furnished and quite large. The ensuite was minute and difficult to use.
Be aware that the stairs are narrow and steep so small suitcase only!. A very comfortable bed.
It was a little inconvenient not to be able to check in until after 6 pm.

Quaint & historic , beautiful beautiful garden with a stunning sunset view 💛❤️🩷💛💛
Owners were welcoming
Thank you 🙏
Room was very warm, a fan would of been useful
A little dusty in places unfortunately, maybe more time on cleaning needed .
We would stay again!!! 😄

Excellent location and great character
No problem for us, but stair access only.

The rooms are very oldie-worldie - which is part of the charm and full of character, but don't expect the mod cons to be top notch. However you have everything you need for a good night with plenty of space in a great location. Decent bathroom, the mini, mini fridge for cold water is a nice touch. Not having breakfast suited us, and you are in a great location to find somewhere. Parking is relatively convenient and you can top it up through a phone app rather than having to re-do the meter in the morning. Keypad entry means you can come and go as you like. We used a double and a single room, the double was very large compared to modern hotel rooms, the single was more than big enough.
Even the negatives, in terms of wonky floors, low beams and tight bathroom, are part of the charm of staying in such an old building in a central location.

Beautiful old building
Front door key pad tricky, got stuck outside for a while!

A fun and slightly quirky place. Not your 5 star luxury but a great place to lay your head for a peaceful and economical night's sleep. The TV was TINY!! (but as I don't watch TV it didn't bother me). It might annoy some...
The bathroom taps were stuck!

Two flights of stone stairs should have done my homework more thoroughly. I also had difficulty in finding the address

Great central location. Lovely historic building. Quirky as many have said and great for a short stay.
Stayed several nights, room was not made up even though I left the sign out requesting attention. No interaction, I met a young lady on check in who told me the heating would be on later, the radiator didn’t come on the whole time of my stay. I suspect that the owners were away as I didn’t see anyone other than at check in.

Location was excellent. Very clean. Interesting building, lots of character. Towels etc.and fixtures and fittings very good. Lots of tea bags etc.available
Very cold in the night and next morning no heating came on. Too cold to shower. Double bed very small and mattress seemed well worn. Shower area and loo very small.

The building has fabulous atmosphere and incredibly historic. The double room was very spacious and very comfortable. The guest house is in the heart of Ross on Wye, just a very short walk to the main street. It was an incredible experience and we will definetly stay again.
This is not a complaint in anyway but the bathroom was very small. This may bother some people. However, I feel that the quality of the room would be severely compromised if the bathroom were to be any bigger.
