big rooms and view
I will start off by saying that I’ve never written a review on hotels, as I’m generally always satisfied with my stays, but this hotel is probably the worst hotel I’ve been in for the given price range. I’ve been in 3 star hotels with better beds and bathrooms that cost way less.
My family and I booked a presidential suite in this hotel for 60000 rupees. Which is probably the biggest scam in Munnar. The hotel is very dirty with insects everywhere, and the beds are extremely uncomfortable, with pillows that are as hard as rocks. The floor was extremely dirty. Walking bare feet in the room will make your soles look darker than space itself. The electricity in our room would periodically switch off for a couple of seconds and turn back on again, this happened almost twenty times during our two day stay. On our first night I went to take a shower and after showering I opened the drainage, and I found hair that hasn’t been cleaned since the beginning of time. Our other bathroom’s lock wasn’t able to do it’s main purpose, which is lock the door! On our second night, the AC right above our bed started leaking and water dripped all over the head board of the bed. The design of the rooms are an eye sore and extremely tacky. It feels like whoever designed the room looked at a Victorian house from the 1800s and tried to replicate it, but failed miserably. Music was playing next to our room for the whole night making it impossible to sleep. We were not able to go on our balconies as there were warnings on there being monkeys everywhere. Breakfast and dinner was included with our package, and the food was very mediocre. The food was cold and always almost finished in the buffet, refilling would take minutes to be done. Most of the time, spoons weren’t available, it would take almost 10 minutes for the spoons to be refilled, but until that point you’ve already eaten a plate without a spoon. This hotel has a 5 star rating on trip advisor, which is extremely baffling to me.

Location and staffs were really good.
Room service and food was not upto the mark. Less buffet spreads and taste was average.

Many Activities in the resort,
I booked a premium room, but the room is dirty with no proper house keeping..not worth it for 17000.
Swimming pool is very small, only 4-5 people can use it at a time.

The restaruant is generally acceptable, however it appears the quality of food is a suspect as we were both ill possibly food poisioning after the buffet lunch on 24 April.
The room was horrible, the worst experience we ever had. We booked a club suite and got one, but the room was close to a passage and disturbance from other guests went into late night. There was some maintenance in the adjacent room (drilling, hammering noise) and my repeated request to provide another room was not accommodated by Reception staff. So at INR 22,000 per night this has been my worst travel experience.
In addition, parking space is limited and the chance of being hit by another vehicle either while entering, exiting or parking is significantly very high.

The property was maintained very well. All the staffs and the management was so courteous, friendly, and very helpful with everything. The food was very excellent. Also, as we got a free upgrade to Club suite room, the overall stay was exceptional… We recommend his resort for everyone with best value for money!
The floors were little confusing to use the lift or stairs.

Breakfast and Dinner are generous.
Staff are very friendly.
Hotel has a wonderful view and is very clean.
Rooms can become hot and the fans can be quite noisy. It's worth paying for the air-conditioned rooms.
They need to add English tv channels for international travelers.

Ambience and food was really good. View from the Hotel was very beautiful. Hotel organized Jeep Ride was exciting and activities was fun.
Check-in process was time consuming, could be improved.

The view of the tea plantation was exceptional. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good, with tons of variety. The room was very comfortable. Room service was also good outside of the dining room hours. I also appreciated that they printed our boarding pass for us.
The breakfast and dinner hours were too short for the number of guests, so the dining room was always over crowded, with too few tables. I would have preferred an earlier breakfast and an earlier dinner option. We arrived with all of our plans made and weren’t interested in any extra activities. It felt like the staff wouldn’t take “no, thank you,” for an answer and kept trying to sell us extras. The checkout process took far too long for the bill to be tallied, the room checked and the bags to be brought down.
