Absolutely fantastic stay. Villa is superb and the air con was a life saver given the 96deg heat most days.
Bedrooms spacious and very comfortable Pool and area around with stunning views a great place to relax

We had a large group, with many kids, and this was the ideal property. It allowed us to enjoy an ideal villa in tuscany. The property is picturesque, and well maintained. Air conditioning which is not common, was present. Valerio went above and beyond to be a great host, and was very attentive. Thank you for providing this villa for a very memorable stay.

Amazing location , 3 min from Cetona, an authentic and beautiful Tuscan village.
Valerio was very welcoming and accommodating to our request.

Our only complaint is that we didn't book for longer! You can enjoy this property for days while looking at the hills of Tuscany around you. The owner kept the location spotless and everything was in good working order. The hot tub room is incredible and the house itself is spacious and well-kept. You need a car for sure but this is a true find!

The villa was beautiful with breathtaking views. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was was incredible! A bonus was that we could walk into town which we did everyday for cafe or a drink. Restaurants are good! The people of Cetona will be in our memories forever. Valerio was extremely responsive and a wonderful host. He also helped us with a chefs dinner at the villa.

We booked for our elopement ceremony. 6 of us, for 4 nights. It’s a beautiful property & overall had a pleasant stay. Some things I wish were communicated in advance.
We spoke to the host before booking, ensuring we could have our 6person ceremony, photogs, & use a private chef. The chef he recommended cost more than we were originally told. But he was incredible. I also asked the host about recs for where to get things in town & he just said everything is in town which wasn’t super helpful. We had to search all over for flowers & get help from a random on the street.
The host was very nice but he had to rush our check in. He had another check in. So maybe that’s why we didn’t get all the info & why he msgd during our wedding for payment. He said then it was due day1, we weren’t told til day3 (he stopped when told we’d do it after the wedding.)
We werent aware the host was going to be on property daily. No big deal, but we weren’t expecting it. He’d stay long periods outside, once coming in to replace a light. The heat & electricity you pay for, we had no real concept for how much it’d be. It was another about $200. And you get: 1 small body&hand towel, & 1washcloth per person. More were 5€ each. No included jacuzzi towel. The towel heaters weren’t on, so towels were never dry. The pool was closed/covered & I wish we knew before.
There were also some ghostly things, that had us on edge a bit.
Overall everything went well, we had a nice stay & perfect ceremony.

Stayed at this home for 4 nights and wish we stayed longer. Perfect Tuscan home and great hosts. Just do it!

This home is stunning. Jacuzzi was perfect. Kitchen amazing. Beds pretty good. Confusing entrance - VRBO said heat, electric and internet included - they are not. Extra 100 euro only cash. Read contract and don’t go by VRBO. Hassle for everyone toward end. Internet not good. Would recommend but read everything and don’t rely on good internet service.

This was a wonderful property for three girlfriend's getaway! It is truly a Tuscan experience, with two fireplaces, rustic yet beautiful furnishings and all the amenities you could ask for. There was more room than we needed, but it was nice to each have our own bedroom. The host, Valerio, was great to deal with and all the villa's terms were clearly explained. We plan to come back next year!

This property couldn't have been better. The house was clean, comfortable, beautiful and full of charm! The grounds were gorgeous and so fun to explore with my 2 year old granddaughter.
The hosts were wonderful and always accessible.
I highly recommend this property and hope to stay again someday.

Perfect location: Cetona is a lovely little town, 1 km walk away. Great piazza with a few restaurant choices, coffee and gelato. Great hike up the hills just off the piazza. Valerio is responsive and determined to make sure your stay is comfortable. The house and grounds are lovely

This home and location was perfect for our family of 5. Valerio and Daniella were gracious hosts and very helpful. The house felt like home and was equipped with everything we needed. The town of Cetona is very charming, friendly, and great location in Tuscany. Highly recommend!

The house and property were incredible with amazing views. It looks even better in person.
Valerio was quick to respond to any questions.
The house was one of the highlights of our trip.

The villa was large with plenty of room for 4 couples. Beautiful views from one bedroom and pool area. It was centrally located for us to visit Orvieto, Montepulciano, and Assisi. Be sure to add extra days just to enjoy the hot tub, pool and villa.

We spent 2 awesome weeks in this house!
The location is great, the house is great, well equipped and the landlord was very nice.
The swimming pool and the jacuzzi are great added values in hot summer days.
We highly recommend it

The Villa and grounds were spectacular and everything was as advertized. The owner Valerio was extremely accomodating when our check-in plans changed unexpectedly. Make sure that you bring your own soap/body wash, shampoo and conditioner as those are not provided as they typically are in USA VRBO rentals. The Villa is close to downtown Cetona along with easy Hwy access to numerous other towns close by. We would definitely recommend this property to all who want a Tuscany Villa experience.

We loved our stay at this villa in Cetona. We got some great use of the pool and spa. Our only wish was some AC for the nights it can get a bit hot some evenings. Great place to explore lots of nearby towns and vineyards. Valerio had some great recommendations and made some bookings for us which was greatly appreciated!

Our stay at this Cetona villa was the highlight of our Italy trip. There was a bit of confusion with check-in. I took 4 pm check-in time to mean that we could check in anytime after 4 pm. The owner was expecting us to meet him at 4 pm. Make sure to include your country code when providing your phone number. The owners attempts to call me failed because I had only included the numbers required to call me in the US.
The property itself is clean and beautiful. The owner was quite helpful. Our only hiccup during the stay was barking dogs from the neighbors late at night. We let the owner know and he had a conversation with the neighbors.
I knew electricity was an additional cost, but was surprised to pay $80 for a three night stay. We were told not to touch the hot tub panel top buttons, so it ran for the entirety of our stay and we weren't vigilant with turning off all the lights all the time. Still...$80 for three days of electricity seems quite high.
All in all, a wonderful stay. I would go back.

My husband and I just returned from a magnificent trip to Tuscany, and one of the highlights for us was spending time at S. Girolamo, a breathtaking villa in lovely Cetona. The pictures do not begin to capture the beauty of this stunning home. We had the pleasure to meet Valerio and his wife who were so accommodating and lovely. Valerio’s attention to detail and ability to capture beauty around every corner of the house, both inside and out, was evident from the moment we arrived. We felt all stress disappear in this peaceful and relaxing environment. The location of the villa is perfect for exploring towns in both Umbria and Tuscany including Spello, Assisi, Siena and Montepulciano. But one of the highlights of our day was returning to the villa to relax at the tranquil pool and enjoy the jacuzzi room that has its own enclosed area outdoors. For those who love to cook, the Tuscan kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a magnificent fireplace. If you decide to enjoy your meals in town, Cetona has a delightful square with a variety of delicious and charming restaurants and cafes just a short drive from the villa. The gelato in town is also amazing! We could not be more delighted that we found this little slice of paradise in Tuscany, and look forward to returning again soon. Thank you so much, Valerio!

This villa was just perfect for us. Filled with charm and warmth, we loved our stay here. The kitchen was the gathering place for us and we didn’t want to leave with its fireplace and old table calling us back. We used the villa as a base for exploring Tuscany but loved the times we just stayed at the villa. Valerio and his wife were gracious hosts and we will definitely be back.

Luciano was a wonderful host and gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations in the town of Cetona. They happened to be some of the best meals we’ve ever had. I couldn’t recommend this property more.

We stayed at the S. Girolamo with my sister and her family and used the place as the base to explore the area and visit Florence, Siena and other nearby cities and towns. The property is located within walking distance to the historic city of Cetona with its excellent restaurants and shops, including an award winning olive oil store. There is a nice hiking trail nearby that takes you to historical caves. We loved the spacious property with the beautiful views of the valley. The place is very comfortable, tastefully decorated and has a large kitchen with all the essentials. The jacuzzi room was a bonus that we enjoyed. The pool was under construction. We look forward to enjoying the pool next time we visit. Our host, Valerio, was extremely responsive and helpful. He responded to our emails within minutes and made the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle free. Be prepared to pay for heating and electricity use when you check out . We found this to be a fair way of charging the guests based on their consumption and encouraging conservation of resources. We look forward to staying at the property again.

My family and I had the most amazing time at this beautiful villa. House is fully equipped for guests to have a great time. Be advised that the owner asks for electricity to be paid separately. No issues with that as far as it's not a surprise. Read the fine print on the final document.

Loved the villa! Gated gravel driveway, cozy welcoming kitchen, spacious rooms, expansive grounds with hundreds of olive trees, separate little building with hot tub.
We did not use the pool, too cold in October.
It’s a 5 star for us except for the fact that the owner did not disclose the extra fees on the listing. He did mention it only at check in where he took photos of the meter readings for the heat etc. and said we would be charged at the end of our stay. It cost over two thirds of the daily rate that we had to pay in cash before we left. We were there for 4 nights, 4 adults and we were gone all day everyday.
At departure, the owner has to meet you at the villa to collect the extra fee. We had to leave at 6 am to catch our flight and he sent his gardener to collect the money and then demanded that we pay him extra money for service fee to meet us there that early! We refused. Since when can you charge a guest for leaving early??!!
This unfortunately left a bad taste at the very end of the trip. I recommend that the extra costs be disclosed up front in the listing or just added to the daily price.

We've stayed at vacation rentals all over the world, and this was easily the best, cleanest, most beautiful place we've stayed.
The pictures are accurate, but somehow, when seen in person the villa and grounds were far more beautiful and private. The building with the hot tub is in itself a phenomenally relaxing and comfortable place. The brick pizza oven works perfectly. The kitchen, where we spent a lot of our time, is cozy, functional, well-equipped and the "sit-in" fireplace is truly special.
We used S. Girolamo as our home base as we explored Tuscany - we found ourselves keeping our day trips short so that we could come back to enjoy our luxurious villa. We found a large supermarket that is an easy drive (PAM store on the outskirts of Chiusi) and cooked some authentic Italian meals - the large professional stove is a treat to use.
The owner, Valerio is responsive and helpful. He has someone who stops by daily to refresh wood and furnace supplies and to check the pool and hot tub. We communicated via VRBO messages, and it might be more convenient / timely to use text messaging.
Between the stunning views, the peaceful olive tree grove, the magical villa and its earthy, comfortable rooms, this was an experience we will trasure for our lifetimes. Thank you Valerio!

The house and property was amazing! We found it to be a lovely walk into town for our morning cappuccino and exploring Cetona. Excellent communication with the owner and very smooth check in and check out process. Would love to come back and stay for a month

Wonderful villa with a pleasant setting
This villa in Cetona is a wonderful property - idyllic setting with well-kept landscaping, plenty of room in the house, and a picturesque view. Valerio is a responsive and attentive host. Our kids loved running through the olive trees and the hot tub, and we highly recommend requesting dinner with Chef Walter or Chef Dario (which Valerio can help arrange) for an amazing meal from the comfort of your own home. We highly recommend this property and would love to return one day.

I'd been anticipating our stay here when I booked and when we finally saw it I was overjoyed. From the gated entrance to the beautiful gardens and into the lovely villa itself, it was beyond my expectations. The location was perfectly located for our day trips throughout Tuscany and a very relaxing and calm place to return to in the evenings. Loved the hot tub! Valerio was such a gracious host upon check in and check out and its clear he puts a lot of thought and effort into the maintenance of the property. Would love to stay here again during the warmer months to fully enjoy the gardens and pool. This place is a gem and I highly recommend.
