Mooi verblijf met prachtig uitzicht op zee

Mooie accommodatie, maar zeker ruimte voor verbetering (in combinatie met de prijs kwaliteit is het niet waard). Daarnaast was er erg vriendelijk personeel (veel aanbevelingen voor bezorging van eten doordat geen roomservice beschikbaar was). Verder ook leuk ontvangen doordat het onze honeymoon was en konden we bagage laten liggen omdat we in de buurt gingen paragliden.

We hadden de Royal Suite geboekt waarbij de jacuzzi niet volledig was gevuld en vies was. Dit werd wel netjes opgelost, maar zou van te voren moeten worden gecontroleerd.

The pictures don’t do any justice. Stunning place!

It’s beautiful, the room was stunning and spacious . The decor and views are the highlight . It’s quiet and in the best part of Knysna. Breakfast was great . Mini bar and main bar fully stocked . The owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and gave us great recommendations for activities and places to visit in Knysna and the surrounding areas.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location

Jo and Pattie were wonderful. We had left our passports at a previous hotel. They were very helpful in making sure we were reunited! The hotel is very welcoming. It is in a beautiful location. The rooms are lovely, with very comfortable beds and the breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week holiday! I would like to come back and stay for longer next time.

A rather unpleasant stay at a hotel classified as being 5 stars. Unpleasant morning reception staff.

The Jacuzzi facility was great. The view from the room was also beautiful. The room was well prepared upon arrival. Receiving the cheese board as a welcome presentation was a nice touch as well.

Though we were well received by the receptionist on arrival, the person who came in on the morning was particularly unpleasant to interact with. For one, though the breakfast was said to be available between 08:00 - 10:00 (with last orders at 09:45) they were unwilling to prepare breakfast at 09:30 when my wife asked them to. The receptionist alleging that the chef had already "closed" the kitchen. Secondly, at around 10:10 (with check-out at 11:00) the water in the room for Showering and bathing was freezing cold. This was despite there being no loadshedding at the time. Lastly, at around 10:45 the receptionist kept coming around to the room to remind us that "check-out" was at 11:00. We found this highly inappropriate and unnecessary considering that we were fully aware of the rules pertaining to this. It seemed as though there was a rush to have us vacate the property, which was clearly in bad taste and utterly unacceptable.

We had a lovely stay, the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Location was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable. The ocean view room didn’t disappoint.

For a 5 star establishment, it lacked maintenance in our room, toilet seat had marks on, drinks cabinet doors not fixed, curtain torn, TV didn’t work during loadshedding although there was an inverter in the room.

A wonderful break at a spectacular venue, the Owners & staff should be very proud.

From arrival & being greeted so warmly to being greeted to very same way on departure. On reflection of the weekend we could not find fault at all, the Honeymoon Suite is amazing. The suite & the Guesthouse itself was very well equipped & laid out & the facilities we're outstanding. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious.

Whilst Loadshedding in South Africa has almost become part of SA's DNA & The Alexander had installed "Counter Measures" for essential items such T.V's, DSTV, WIFI & some lights. A small suggestion is maybe look at the water pump. When there was Load Shedding it effected the water both Hot & Cold.

An absolutely wonderful breakfast. Many fresh and cooked options. Hosts and all staff were so warm and welcoming and went out of their way to assist us with anything we required. Sitting down for breakfast and being looked after by Memory was like waking up to a big warm hug!

Nice place. Pity about the cold hot tub.

The rooms were luxurious.

Sadly, having booked especially because of the hot tub, it was cold. Also, it seems weird to charge for extra cooked breakfast items when you could fill your boots at the buffet if you wanted to.

Welcoming staff, cleanliness, decor, koi fish, spacious rooms opening to the balcony with a breathtaking view of the ocean breakfast and so on. Thanks to Jo, she was amazing and hospitable. She even walked me and my wife to the car. She's an asset to the establishment. Thank you 😊

Climbing up the hill going to the venue, driving in and out of the yard can be tricky especially with with filled parking spaces.

Should have stayed longer than one night.

Great little guest house with great views and a delicious breakfast. You need to stay more than one night to enjoy what it has to offer.

Room had a little musty smell, but otherwise it was great.

Comfortable but not luxurious

The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. Excellent muffins at breakfast

Lack of privacy, our outside space could be overlooked from the room next door and from the Communal areas and balconies above. It was also quite noisy because of this. The furniture in the room and the bathroom taps and loo seat needed maintenance.
