Authentiek verblijf, zeker een aanrader!

Heel originele en authentieke setting, prachtig gelegen in een park. Zalig wakker worden met vogelgezang. De "tuin" is tevens een openluchtmuseum, zeer de moeite en zeer goed onderhouden. Goed ontbijt. Vriendelijk personeel.

De koffie bij het ontbijt viel tegen (gemaakt in percolator). Op het zicht propere kamer, maar "verborgen" plaatsjes zeer stoffig.

The room was nice and clean, the bed linen was crisp and the bed comfortable. After an 800km drive it was a perfect combination.

Lovely clean hotel , nice setting close to the centre and very good value for money.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very helpful even got us a kettle fir our room .

Great location and really nice country feel to the place. The house itself is full of WW1 artifacts and memorabilia.

An interesting hotel.

When we booked the hotel, we didn't realise it was set in the grounds of a WW1 battle field, complete with open air museum, including the remains of trenches and spent shells. The view from our room was lovely, overlooking the ponds which were in fact craters made from underground bombs. The hotel was comfortable and the food at the evening meal and breakfast was excellent.

The room was basic. The bathroom could do with an update and the room could do with a lick of paint. If you arrive on a motorbike take care as the gravel drive is very difficult to ride on.

A unique comfortable traditional family run hotel.

A lovely quirky family run hotel with WW1 history. The Hooghe Crater Museum is next door and and the crater can be accessed from the hotel for 1 euro. A shocking reminder of the hardship of the WW1 transformed over time into a beautiful tranquil setting that should not be missed. The owners spoke perfect English and were very helpful. We would thoroughly recommend staying here especially if you are looking for something a little bit different and more traditional.
