Incrível novo hotel. Para repetir!

Vista lindíssima, o quarto era super confortável, tudo renovado, piscina fantástica na zona superior, pequeno almoço super completo. Funcionários prestáveis. Conhecemos o dono e foi também muito atencioso.

Estavam em obras mas não incomodou a estadia pois deu para usar todas as experiências sem problema

Beautiful views and location. Super helpful staff

Beautiful location with fabulous views. Lovely pool, quiet and relaxing. The hotel is really good value for money and was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

It has recently been taken over by new management and so there are some teething problems but nothing that impacted on our enjoyment.

Unreal, throughly recommend, very welcoming and friendly.

The staff were super, super friendly! Absolutely amazing location, genuinely couldn’t have asked for anything else. Can’t wait to see the renovations and plan to come back (which we never do!). If you’re looking for marble floors and a spa, there’s one down the road , if you want a nice stay in a more traditional setting away from the hustle and bustle this is the absolute perfect place to clear your head. So grateful to the owner who made our stay absolutely brilliant - nothing was to much trouble Would recommend having a car so you don’t miss out on the beauty of the area.

Leaving - I wish we could have stayed a lot longer.

Former good address. Very much outdated.

I give the two points for the following things: The view is a dream. And the host is very friendly.

The house is very outdated. It looked very run down. Already the ascent from the outside staircase suggested this fact. The rooms are all very old. Some of the rooms are mouldy. But our room was clean. It was very cold everywhere in the house (January 2023). There was no hot water coming out of our sink so we didn't want to take a shower. The breakfast was okay. It was a pity. The house used to be a very good address. The lavish lounges with the fireplaces (not in use) also testify to this.

Exceptional

The owner was very friendly, jovial and helpful. The room was much larger than I expected, with a separate lounge and good-sized bathroom. An extra radiator was provided along with spare blankets (it being December), although the room was of a decent temperature and the bed was warm and comfortable even without these extras. The selection of fresh food items at breakfast was impressive and the coffee was very tasty and just what I needed before setting off for a long day out.

Unfortunately, due to the season the pool was closed, but this is to be expected in December.

All the cats outside reception and on the hotel veranda. All the cats were fed on the hotel veranda. Avoiding cat litter Bag of rat poison on the reception desk. Same food at the breakfast every day. Not fresh Very run down Always in the dark

Peaceful and lovely place to relax

Peaceful place with plenty of space to relax and unwind. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely location. Spacious pool and room, balcony to enjoy the sunset and sunrise

The View, The Staff, The Serenity

First up, the view is incredible, the staff are incredible. Its peaceful, the rooms are big. It has a fridge, great WiFi, clean pool. For the price I paid, its a bargain. The good definitely overseas the bits that need improving. I recommend you stay here and take in the serenity.

There's no hiding the fact that the place needs a facelift. I could go into detail but the investor knows this.

location and staff. view from the hotel is amazing and staff is trying to make up for the quality of the stay.

despite the low amount paid i would definitely suggest massive upgrade to the place. everything is simply worn down. if you could find anyone willing to sponsor the renovation this would be a true jewel in Monchique

Amazing views in a quiet and peaceful location.

The accommodation was spacious and provided a beautiful view. It was quiet and peaceful. The host was welcoming, happy and helpful. The breakfast offered included a variety of foods. Tea, coffee and biscuits were available at any time in the comfortable common room.

The hot water took a while to heat up in the evening.

We book that hotel looking forward to swimming pool coz on the advert was written open all year ( now it's changed to seasonal ). Pictures are amazing but once we came we got shocked - closed and looked awful. We got breakfast complimentary instead.

rustic mountain hotel owned and run by your friends grandfather

Amazing views and rustic feel, I would explain the property as if your friends grandfather owned a hotel that his father built. the property shows it age and if your looking for new and modern this isn’t it. What it is, a property that has character and was likely made using some of the best materials of its construction time frame. the breakfast was simple but perfect start for my day out exploring. the orange (I’m guessing from the property) was one of the best oranges I have had in years. the friendliness of the host was wonderful and I even had a fire in the rooms fireplace as the weather was wet and rainy. would gladly stay here again. but I will call him directly to book. pretty sure he will match the prices online without an issue and more revenue to him would be my recommendation. would love to come back again.

I loved the property. however. If you are looking for new… you won’t find it here. it’s been well loved and shows it age, but I loved its character and rustic charm :)
