I booked last minute as a room became available. Had a wonderful stay and hoping to return in 2024.

The property is located back from the road so very quiet but also conveniently located for the short walk to the beach and the bus stop. The room was spotless and large. The grounds are very well maintained, pool area very clean. The room was cleaned to a high standard. Aircon a bonus and included unlike at other properties. Simple but adequate kitchenette if you want to cook. Great to have breakfast. I often had the breakfast room to myself at 8am! I was on holiday with friends who stayed at other properties but Ostria was the best by far. The staff are super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Big thank you to all the Team at Ostria for making me feel so welcome 🙏

Truly a gem✨

Our stay at Ostria was absolutely wonderful!! The whole property is so pretty and so peaceful. It’s set back a bit from the main road so it’s completely quiet, yet it’s close enough to the street that you have the bus stop about 3 minutes away and many delicious restaurants all around. The pool area is very clean and pretty. The pool isn’t the biggest but completely enough for the fact that you are on an island with so many beautiful beaches. The rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. The balconies have a lovely view, the bathroom is newly renovated and there is even a kitchenette! Breakfast at the hotel was also lovely and had many options. Eggs, bread, cereals, sweets, meats and many more. Maria at the breakfast is a sweetheart. And Anna, the owner, is such a fun, sassy and sweet woman and is so helpful as well. She helped us rent a car for the day, and recommended many wonderful beaches and restaurants. Overall, all the people that worked at the hotel really made you feel at home. The hotel is situated in Kolios which is a really ideal place to stay. It’s about 15 min from town by bus and 10 min from koukounaries by bus, so it’s so easy to get everywhere, yet it’s a lot more calm. There is also a market right around the corner that has everything you may need. So overall it’s truly a wonderful hotel. This was our first time on Skiathos, so we didn’t really know where to stay and just ended up deciding on this hotel, and boy are we glad that we did! If we ever come back to Skiathos, we would definitely love to stay here again. Seriously can’t recommend it enough!!

The mattress was a bit soft, but other than that, there wasn’t nothing to dislike.

An absolute gem

The staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable The room was of a very high standard and very well equipped. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The bed was huge. The gardens were very well maintained. The pool was also great. The accommodation is located 100 meters from the beach. A multitude of tavernas are between 50 meters and 500 meters away.

A wonderful family run hotel with helpful staff and ideal location.

Lovely family run hotel. Very clean and quiet. Buffet breakfast served over looking the pool. Staff wonderful and so friendly and helpful. Ideally situated away from the main road so no noise but close enough for beaches, local restaurants and bus routes. Very helpful staff who organised the hire of a scooter for us. Cute little dog. A truly wonderful stay - thank you.

The room was a good size and clean. Bedding was good but the towels a little rough and too small (and I’m a size12). The aircon was brilliant and the pool and location was great.

We like to eat our breakfast on our terrace or take it with us to the beach and did so on the first day, after which we were challenged in a loud, abrupt and rude manner stating we should only eat in the breakfast room (we are adults on our holiday and rules should be thoroughly explained) not just re-iterated on checking out. We declined to eat breakfast on day 3 preferring to enjoy a local taverna (without rules of course). Very upsetting!☹️

Very nice place in a perfect location

Great location with beach nearby and perfect strating point to explore the island with rented scooter or car. If you don't like going to the beach, the property has a nice swiming pools with plently of sun beds

Wi-fi could be better as well as selection of seasonal vegetables and fruits at breakfast

Wonderful family run hotel

The property is so clean and tidy, the room was very comfortable with AC, a mini kitchen and fridge freezer. This is a small family run business which I love about Greek holidays... only about 16 rooms. Staff and owners were so nice and chatty, pool is a nice size with plenty of sunbeds. Relaxed and quite!! Location is ideal for at least 6 tavernas, all of which served excellent food at good value, we loved Jimmy's. It's a small island with a very good bus service with a stop outside the hotel, only about 15 mins to skiathos Town (€1.60). We will return like many other guests that were there when we stayed, some have been returning for years and i can see why.

Hotel Ostria is beautiful - lovely gardens, gorgeous pool & nice spacious apartments. The staff were all so helpful & friendly too. The cleanliness was next level, our apartment was cleaned every single day to a high standard. The beach is just a 5 min walk & also very close to lovely restaurants. We loved our stay as a family of four & wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Perfect

The people were incredible. Couldn't do enough for us, some of the best service i've ever experienced. Would stay here again purely because of them. More so, the location is perfect for a semi quiet time, the beach opposite is gorgeous, walking distance to a few other lovely beaches. All the local taverna's were amazing and easy bus access into town.

I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this island.

The owners and the staff were super nice and very helpful. We were traveling with our 9 month old daughter who is a big fan of avocados. When we couldn't find avocados in the local supermarkets, the owner brought avocados for her from the Skiathos town. We were very impressed with this hospitality and considerate treatment. This hotel was close to a bunch of great restaurants and nice beaches. The hotel is also next to a bus stop, which make sit very easy to go to different parts of the island which are accessible by public transport. All rooms in this hotel come with a balcony and it was nice to interact with the other guests staying at this hotel. This hotel also has a nice swimming pool and a bar.

There was no chopping board in the kitchenette. The shower curtain didn't reach all the way to the floor, so the bathroom floor gets wet after the shower. Apart from these two minor issues, this place was perfect.

Amazing stay at Hotel Ostria

Clean and fresh rooms, beautiful pool and very good breakfast. Family run hotel and all the staff were super friendly and helpful with any requests including letting us stay for a late checkout in our room on our departure day and helping us sort out covid tests! Agia Paraskevi itself is a lovely quiet area, great beach and a few tavernas. Amazing bus links up to beaches such as Troulos, as well as in to Skiathos town (15-20 mins). Ostria is less than 2 minute walk from bus stop 16 and also right by a little shop where you can also hire scooters. The area seems to be popular with the older generation so no bars etc (which was exactly what we wanted), and the area felt very safe. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to be back!

Great experience!

Ostria hotel is a family run hotel and hospitality is at the highest level. Hotel owners are very friendly and happy to help. I would highly recommend staying in Ostria hotel, as it is very close to a beautiful beach Agia Paraskevi (3 min walk), it is a very clean hotel, with beautiful garden - and I have never seen grass being so green! We enyojed coffe after breakfast in this beautiful garden.

There really is nothing not to like. Maybe consider changing yogis, as it wasn`t comfortable at all, or maybe I am too sensitive, as I have back & neck problems. Tip: not related to the hotel, but SUPERMARKETS - Don`t buy there, as prices are very high! Skiathos town has SPAR store with friendly prices. We found out that after 3 days of staying there, after we spend a lot in a nearest Supermarket for basic stuff we needed (example: shower gel 5 €, 1 kg of Tomatoes was around 7 €, etc, bread between 3-5 €, etc...)

Wonderful welcoming stay

The owner welcomed us with open arms (literally) which was a breath of fresh air after a very inhospitable stay at the over priced Skiathos Palace. The room was really big and spacious with everything we needed. The beach is very close and really nice. The pool and little restaurant were lovely and the staff were very friendly. Great breakfast too. Excellent value for money

Familiar living on skiathos

The Ostria Hotel is in a great location. On the one hand it is set back from the street so that it is very quiet and on the other hand there is a great bay in front of the hotel (across the street, a small path leads you to the sea). There is a great beach bar with comfortable seating and chilled music. The hotel itself is small and looks very familiar. You will be welcomed personally and greeted warmly. Everyone is very friendly and absolutely helpful (our little daughter had to see the doctor and an appointment was made for us directly - that was very great and helped us a lot). The rooms are very spacious (we had two rooms each with an adjoining bathroom, a kitchenette and a large terrace. The decor is simple, but it is absolutely sufficient and small decorative elements loosen up the decor. The complex is very well maintained, really very good beautifully planted and beautifully green. The pool is also beautiful and the area is equipped with comfortable loungers and umbrellas. Wi-Fi is also great and there is free parking for the rental car. For the little ones there are two swings and a seesaw - nicely shaded under palm trees. Directly opposite the Ostria Hotel is a tavern - you can have a good dinner here. We can only recommend the Ostria, we felt very comfortable and would like to come back again!

First of all, the staff were extremely kind and helpful, they have made the stay even more delightful. Otherwise the room was clean as a whistle and was taken care of every day. We absolutely loved our days there as it really has a nice, cosy feeling to it. Just amazing, highly recommended!
