About this apartment rental
Think of living in the luxury of the Argentine bourgeoisie of the early 20th century but with the modern conveniences of the 21st! Our flat revolves around a large, open, Spanish-style patio with ample seating and the essential parrilla. Off of it is a huge master suite with seating area, an over-sized marble walk-in bath, a dressing room (California closet) and a boudoir; a family room decorated in Spanish colonial style; an entirely tiled and well-equipped galley kitchen; and a large bath with deep jacuzzi tub. Beyond the family room is a formal living/dining area with a cozy fireplace, a den/office space with a pull-out bed, and a balcony facing the street. Above the kitchen is the old maid's quarters, now converted into an "industrial" loft bedroom with a private bath.
But wait! This is in the heart of Buenos Aires--half a block from Corrientes (the Broadway of BA) with numerous theaters, cafes, restaurants, shops and clubs. Recoleta, the city's swanky neighborhood, is an easy 15 walk away along beautiful tree-lined streets and French-style buildings. Four subway lines within a three-block radius connect you to the rest of the city's popular areas: Palermo, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, and Boca.
Talcahuano is a busy commercial street known for its many musical instrument establishments and colorful, artsy, individualistic neighbors. North, it leads straight into Recoleta; go four blocks south, and you come to Avenida de Mayo—the city's most beautiful avenue, flanked at one end by the Parliament (capitol building) and the other by the Casa Rosada (the presidential mansion).
Our staff, who speak Spanish and English (and can communicate in Portuguese), are natives and can help you with any issue related to the city and its vibrant cultural life.

A classic Argentine comfy and spacious appartment on 1st floor. High ceilings and traditional furniture. Outdoor parilla fun. Safe area. Great location. We were there with our 2 adult children who loved it! I would say comfy for 4 people max. Take Uber or taxi(pay cash, very cheap) to Palermo, a fun neighborhood with bars and restaurants (did a foodtour there) So much to do in the city that 6 days was perfect. Weather was not the best, rainy 18-20C. Half day bike tour was great, highly recommend. Tangoshow in La Ventana was fantastic. Recoleta cemetery fabulous. Do San Telmo on a Sunday. Loved being back after a long time.

The apartment is charming and comfortable. Walking distance to many attractions. The use of Uber made getting around simple. There is a washer but no dryer. The host stayed in touch and gave us two methods of any help needed while in the apartment. The host also arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport for transport to the airport. This was huge. Exceptionally helpful. The only downside was there was often a group of individuals congregating just outside the door approaching us for handouts. It was uncomfortable but did not feel unsafe.

Our family of 4 had a great stay here for a week in February. Beautifully decorated and a new smart TV for binging Netflix at night. Great communication with the owner and his helpful neighbors made this a much easier transition for us. The little store underneath the apartment is a hidden gem for good quality wine at very reasonable prices.

My daughter fell in love with this apartment immediately upon seeing the photos in the listing. She wanted to get a true Argentine experience. I was looking more at modern apartments with some amenities. The host was quick to respond to a few questions we had prior to booking and communication throughout the rental process was exceptional, including a very detailed message with useful information. The apartment was exactly as it appears in the photos and is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed taking a break each day to have mate with local pastries in the private courtyard. The building is located steps away from Avenida Corrientes, one of the cities main avenues and very close to many of the tourist attractions. We were in and out of the apartment at all hours and safety was never an issue. Overall, a very positive experience. Thank you Rodney for being an excellent host and a big shout out to your local agent Emir.

Our family of four (2 teens) loved this apartment. The kids each had their own rooms, and we loved having coffee in the courtyard in the mornings. The street it's on is a bit gritty, but it's easy (and very affordable!) to grab cabs on the corner of Corriente to the more tree-lined neighborhoods (Palermo, Recoleta, Retiro) for museums/restaurants, etc. Rodney was a very attentive and helpful host.

Everything about our stay at this apartment was perfect. Our host Rodney was easy to communicate with, so check-in was a breeze.
The apartment is so comfortable and inviting; we hated to leave. There was everything we needed in the neighborhood. A good local store right next to the apartment, restaurants, bakeries were all available within walking distance.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone interested in a safe, comfortable stay in Buenos Aires.

Beautiful apartment with room to spread out. The location was perfect to be able to walk to the many bakeries we found. The fireplace kept the apartment warm and added to the charm. Rodney was amazing and helped us get a ride from the airport as well as took us to exchange money. He had tons of suggestions and was easy to communicate with.

Couldnt say enough about the hoa owner Rodney and his assistants so helpful with everything.
..thank you.

The layout and style of the apartment are amazing, and the location within BA is absolutely ideal

Fairly easy process. We selected a different place first but it cancelled on us 3 days before we were to leave. Got lucky to get this place

This apartment may be the most stunningly opulent and beautiful place I've ever stayed. Our stay was broken into two sections so we could visit Mar del Plata for a few nights, and as we headed back to Buenos Aires we joked that we couldn't wait to get back to "our palace."
The candelabras, eclectic art, gorgeous inlay furniture, and dreamy balcony windows made me feel like the main character in some sort of South American Moulin Rouge fantasy. I'm a sucker for tile work and the lush patio with its decorative plates and greenery is a showstopper. We had many a coffee out there in the mornings and many a Fernet con Coca there in the evenings.
On the less glamorous but no less important side of things: Amenities! The kitchen is well-equipped and we were thrilled to have both a dishwasher and a washing machine so we could do laundry during our stay. The wifi was reliable, and the water pressure in the shower was great.
The place couldn't be more central and conveniently located. It's just around the corner from El Obelisco and Teatro Colón, with a Carrefour and a Dia grocery store both within a couple minutes' walk, plus some lovely parks, plenty of shopping, and places to eat. Much of the city is reachable by foot if you're game for putting in some steps: Puerto Madero, Recoleta, and San Telmo are all pretty close, and we took the Subte or taxis for more far-flung (or late-night) adventures.
Rodney was an excellent host: super responsive to our questions, and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and live music. I would absolutely love to come back one day, perhaps at a different time of year. It was pretty hot out while we were there so we never got around to using the huge Jacuzzi tub, and that's going to haunt me.

If you want to truly experience the old world charm of Buenos Aires, this is the place for you. The apartment is a design from early in the 1900's with a central patio (open air) with access from all other rooms. It allows for indoor/outdoor living and gives you a feel for living in a different era. The apartment has been refurbished while keeping the charm and quirkiness of a prior era. High ceilings, huge windows/doors, completely furnished with antiques and art. Wonderful living spaces.
The location also worked for us. This is not a residential-only neighborhood, but one that is close to the sites you will want to see and experience. It's a little gritty, but was safe and convenient. The master bedroom is tucked away from the street and is nice and quiet. The street can be a bit noisy at times in the living room and study, which are above the street. Rodney was very helpful in arranging an airport pickup, tour guides, money exchanges, etc. Staying here helped us to have a wonderful Buenos Aires experience.

If you like old architecture and antique furniture, you will love this place. The ceilings reach to the sky and the inside patio is actually open to the sky. The apartment is spacious and works quite well for two couples as in our case. So much nicer than the typically sterile apartments one tends to find in vacation properties in Buenos Aires and elsewhere. The front room has a comfortable Murphy bed but the traffic was quite noisy. Quite tolerable with ear plugs. The location is ideal in terms of access to all the main sites in the centro, some good but not great restaurants, and amazing architecture. We recommend this highly.

Very nice. There were minor inconveniences, but they are not important enough to complain about.

This apartment was well located, beautifully set up and furnished. Its closeness to Corrientes made it easy to catch taxis - and direct taxi drivers home late at night. Towels, bed linen and kitchen equipment were plentiful, with a weekly cleaning service making life easier. Shelving and storage space was abundant. Being on the first floor made it easy to reach either by stair or at the end of a long day (and night) by the delightfully old fashioned lift. The rococo furniture gave a sense of luxury and provided a perfect setting for late afternoon drinks. Absolutely loved the whole experience. And the 'red book' with information, ideas and suggestions was invaluable.
