Superb breakfast, very comfortable bed and the staff were exceptional and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating, overall a vey enjoyable stay.
the room was ok as i was on my own, a compact double, but would have been on the small side if i had a partner, although i do appreciate there are upgrades.
3.5
Room - good comfy room with a nice bed. we were on the ground floor and unfortunately other guests don't appreciate yopu don't want to be awake as early as them. Especially the family with two children running up and down the corridor at 7.00am shouting and then the same back from breakfast.
Breakfdast offered a well cooked variety of produce. Pre book as £12.00 seem top end but it is £17.99 if you try tom pay on the day.
Bar prices were extortionate. over £19.00 for a pint and a gin and tonic. the bar man could have done with a lesson in dealing with people.

Very large comfy bed, plenty of parking, perfect location for us
Too hot in the room, no air con, had to ask for 2 fans .
5.0
Large bathroom.
Shower etc provided
Tea and coffee provided
More milk and decaffeinated drinks in room

Location of hotel outside chester was the best thing about this hotel. Plenty of free parking. Room was spacious and clean.
On arrival, there was lots of staff but as our stay progressed, there was less and less staff available. There was a big tour in the same night as us, so the breakfast options were extremely limited as it was not catered for the numbers who stayed. There was only jugs of coffee available as the coffee machine was not replenished with beans, nor were the pastries and breads restocked. The pool on the 2nd day was closed due to rechlorination. As the pool option was our main choice for staying here, it was a huge disappointment that they did not treat the pool after hours. Would not choose this hotel again if in the area

Good parking. Attractive hotel. Very helpful front desk staff
An elevator for guests would have been nice
5.0
Very clean
Great location
Smart tv in the room
Rooms were a bit small
1.0
Sadly there is no upside to this hotel
Nobody on reception. Walls paper thin. Ceiling reminds you there is a herd of buffalo above you. Even ‘suite’ manages only a shower over bath in a small and tired bathroom. Wake up call? No problem. Hairdryer in the next room is bound to wake you, followed by footfall in a corridor designed like a builder’s plywood walkway. Breakfast hit by a locust swarm of students with little attempt to replenish. A dreadful stay.

Great location, car park, good value for money.
Breakfast was excellent.
The swimming pool was a little tired and the changing rooms were poor.
4.0
Location near a Park and Ride was a bonus. We liked having a pool on site.
Food choices were limited for our tastes and rather pricey.

Location
Very dull, rooms old fashioned. Some of the staff horrendous.

Breakfast and bar were all good the location was very good for what we needed .swimming pool was okay. food was good
the fact that there was a dog in the room across from us that kept barking in the evening and even woke us up at about half past three in the morning . the decorations were poor needed a refurb. complained to the reception and they were not helpful with the dog issue just said they would speak to the occupants in the room but that didn't make any difference.

Nothing
The staff was so lazy and unorganised, no one answers the phone at reception or guest care! They are rood and unsympathetic & the room smelled terrible!
2.5
Breakfast was good and swimming pool., and park and ride mostly.
Evening meal was small portion, and give my friend bad diarrhea. Staff we're not very tolerant of her dogs yapping, in dog friendly hotel, even though night before drunks where loud with there heated talk.
5.0
The spa facilities were very good. The room was lovely and big too
Squeaky floor boards, I would of loved to have had my dinner in the pods they were very expensive to book.
2.0
Room and facilities were great value
Very very noisy (zero sound proofing). Every step and conversation can be heard. Including your domestic
2.5
The decor in the room was nice & the bed was comfy
The walls & ceiling were 2 thin so kept hearing people above us walking around at night & our neighbours talking.
Also unfortubately during our stay we were informed the water pressure had been effected. This meant we could not shower (only baths which took ages to fill). It also meant the toliet did not fill up by itself so had to use cups of water to do so
4.0
The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was in a great location.
We didnt realise the pool, jacuzzi etc shut at 7 on a Sunday so never got chance to use them .

Brilliant breakfast, lots of choice and all great!
Really, really hot in the room. We turned the radiator off and opened the windows but stroll uncomfortably hot!
4.5
Excellent value for money. Hotel a little tired but this is Reflected in the price. Staff were brilliant, especially the cleaning staff
Nothing. Tired but clean and good facilities

I don’t use hotels very often, but when I have in the past, they have been disappointing and dirty. Your hotel was quite the opposite. A very well presented bedroom, we were supposed to have a sofa bed, but actually we’re given an extra bed which was good. Your staff on the reception were polite. Everywhere, including the swimming pool was well kept, clean and well presented
The bedroom, the radiator was switched off, but because the pipework that feeds each bedroom runs through the bedrooms (not under the floorboards or through the loft space) the bedroom was continuously too hot. We opened the windows all day and night and still it was too hot. We we were forced to use the air-conditioning which gave us all dry/sore throats. Also, after turning the air-conditioning on the bedroom became very dusty (there was dust on the filter of the AC unit). The flooring in the bathroom needs replacing badly. The bar was extremely overpriced.
I imagine some more upper-class people don’t mind, but if you’re going to sell your bedrooms reasonably cheap, your bar needs to be reasonably priced as well.
There were girls either next door or opposite our bedroom who came back gone 2:00am screaming like children drunk and slammed the door which woke all of us up. We thought that we were put as far away from reception possible because we had a child, but then to have these immature ladies put next to a family room. We were a bit annoyed. But it was our last night so there was no point complaining.
Even with the above said, I am still happy with my stay.

Shower gel and shampoo smell amazing.
Cold.
Not great customer experience.

The swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms were lovely and great to use with the kids. The staff were all amazingly helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend and come back if we're visiting the area again.

It was very convenient for my stay. The family room was spacious and warm. The leisure facilites were nice and the breakfast was good.
The family rooms were a very long way from the reception and amenities for the hotel. The swimming pool was only half available due to swimming lessons. It was the deep end too and I had children. They were not allowed in the jacuzzi which I didn’t realise even though they would have been supervised at all times. The evening menu was very limited.
1.0
The bed was comfortable
The bathroom was very dated with a big crack in the sink & damage to the bath with the enamel all split & rusting. There was grouting missing in the floor tiling & hairs on the walls of he shower & in the bed.
5.0
Beautiful spacious room with a large tv which made it feel like we was at a cinema. Lights on the walls made the room feel so cosy.
The room key and main door kept locking us out when not in use.
4.5
Breakfast was good value for money, facilities a little dated but really friendly staff.
The facilities are a little dated, bathrooms could do with updating.
4.0
Convenient stopover on the way to early morning ferry

Location
A little dingy

Location is excellent; as is the availability of car parking.
There is no lift in this hotel. A request for ground floor rooms - made some weeks in advance at the time of booking - was not facilitated. We were told no ground floor rooms were available, but noted a guest arriving just after us being given a ground floor room.
The dining room is not available for a couple of hours in the evening (both our visits were on Tuesdays) due to coach tours being accomodated. The above drawbacks are not advised on the hotels website.
5.0
Staff was outstanding, in particular Susan on reception and Richard E on the bar, really went above and beyond for our family.
Wouldn't say I didn't like, but the only negative is it's a very dated hotel.
2.5
Breakfast was good spa facilities were OK but changing room in need of a refurbishment, hotel staff very helpful and polite
Room was very tired
4.5
Friendly staff, clean facilities shower pool and sauna!
Room service was unavailable as they wouldn’t answer phone but had lunch at the bar and was very tasty!
5.0
Beautifully clean, fantastic breakfast.
The staff were so attentive and quick to resolve the issues we had. Our shower broke and it was seen to and we were moved rooms within 30 minutes! We requested more towels and they were brought to us immediately. Couldn’t fault the staff at all. The food and drinks manager went out of her way to help us get information on places we wanted to visit. Outstanding service! Would definitely stay again
Nothing!
4.5
Excellent location. Staff super friendly and welcoming, unfortunately didn't get their names but the lady on reception, young lad behind the bar, young lass in the restaurant & the guy on the swimming pool reception deserve special praise!! Brilliant free to use facilities (gym, pool, sauna, steam room etc). Will most definitely be staying again next time we visit Chester.
Nothing much at all to comment on what we didn't like. If we had to be picky and put something, then maybe the couple of dusty spots in the room (top of the bed lights & inside cupboard), but that's it, and certainly nothing really worth mentioning or to deter us from returning. Excellent stay!
4.5
Great location, room we had was a great size. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
Only thing I didn’t like was the shower and trying to regulate the right temperature, difficult to get right.
