I was away for five weeks and I have to say that this was the most fancy and really unexpected place that I stayed in. A bit strange in that it's entrance is just a door from the street and you then go up some very old stairs, but then when the door to the room opened, I was a bit blown away. Very designer, very sparkly with the glass displays and a very large bathroom. Really wish I was staying longer than the one night. A great room for a couple too wanting to spoil yourself a bit. It really did have everything that you would want. The service that you get from Martin too, who looks after everything, is also great. Very very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if visiting Bordeaux.
While not too far from the station, it is a little walk from the city centre. Nothing long at all, but just not right in the middle of the tourist side of things. Which could actually be a plus in a number of ways!

The accommodation was absolutely lovely ! Quirky, charming with a great ambience.
There was great attention to detail & the host could not have been more helpful.
The noise levels from outside were extreme high. We couldn’t close the windows to block out the noise as we visited when it was extremely warm & we had issues with the air con but that may have been down to us .

Excellent place to stay in the historical part of Bordeaux.
It’s walking distance from all major sites so you don’t have to worry about travelling.
There are varied restaurants and eateries for all price ranges close by.
The green suite was lovely.
Most importantly the host answered any questions and queries so quickly that we felt at ease immediately..
You should note if you have a disability, climbing up to the floors with heavy suitcases may prove to be a problem as we didn’t see a lift.
If you are in the green suite note that if you’re tall like my husband, 6 foot plus the room ceiling has low slopes and you will have to keep bending as the door height is low .
Saying that, we would still go back to the same room as it was great.

A lovely property with very nice, comfortable rooms (we stayed in the green room) with all the amenities you’d need in a beautiful part of Bordeaux!
There was limited information around how to check in. We didn’t realise we needed to pay a 300 euro deposit (on top of the price of the room) to be held until check out, which we got back about 5 days after check out (we stayed for 2 nights), so just be aware to factor that in in terms of spending money!

We had the loft room and I had to waled bend down most of the time. No reception and very little information on how to check in

There was never anyone to talk to. Everything was electronic to a company.
The room was under a slanted roof and when I got up our of bed I had to stoop for several steps before I could stand up straight. There was a huge beam that you had to duck under. It was covered in orange shag carpeting so I imagine they saw how dangerous it could be. The bed was fine but there was nowhere else comfortable to sit.

We loved the location, the comfortable bed and cozy linens, the spacious room & artistic decor. The hotel had excellent communication and helped us drop
off our luggage, even before the check-in time, even though they were not there. Our favorite part was the tourist guide and recommendations provided by the hotel. Lastly, the air conditioning worked so well (almost too well) so we could be refreshed after a hot day in the sun! We would love to return to Bordeaux and to Maison Fredon.
Nothing.

The room is impeccably decorated, very luxurious feeling and very classy. Very comfortable beds and linens, and great in room coffee setup.
You check in at the restaurant across the street (which was amazing-you should definitely eat there), but the staff seemed very busy so the lady who did our check in was a little rushed, but understandably so! The owner of Maison Fredon was very readily available by text, should you have more questions or need any advice.

Traditional French House. Good location for the city centre. Large bedroom and shower room .
We were on the ground floor street level and opposite the restaurant Tupina so it was noisy in the evening. Our friends we in the loft which was much quieter but be warned of low beams and lots of stairs if you have luggage.

Location, decor, comfort, and privacy were excellent.
Water pressure was low (top floor unit) and hot water took a long time to arrive.

Location great, comfy and cozy. Suggest from airport getting a bus super easy €1.80 over a €80 20 minute taxi ride. Make sure you book minimum of 24hrs in advance or contact the place directly after booking as you need a code to get in. Lady was super lovely loved staying there. Would stay again m.
In purple room lighting wasn’t best

Felt really nice and private, had a very relaxed stay there and the restaurant opposite was great. Excellent location for everything you need. Great decor and interesting design.
The deposit registration via WhatsApp was slightly clunky but mainly because my phone couldn't connect to mobile data at the time. Sandra was very helpful.

Sandra helped us she does her best
. ..... Hotel has changed in 7 years so needs refresh. Much better hotels for cheaper price in better location in Bordeaux. No TV in room!!..only 1 shampoo for 2 people for 2 nights...sink
plug didn't work. 2 tea bags again for 2 nights..no facility for breakfast.no concierge on site. If you want to spend £130 a night GO ELSEWHERE

Interior design was different, but very tasteful.

The hotel is in a good location in Bordeaux, if the air con had been working we would have been content.
AVOID THIS HOTEL. The air con was broken, we received zero communication from management. We had to leave and check out early and pay to stay somewhere else as our room was unbearably warm. There is no reception to speak to someone if there is a problem and the number you are given for maintenance issues is unresponsive. It's been over three days since we tried to contact management - no response yet. Terrible experience.

Worst place ever. Do NOT book this place. overhyped by a great British chef but think about this: There is no one taking responsibility, no reception. There’s a cleaning lady upon arrival only speaking French. She knew the aircon and Wi-Fi did not work but as it was not her responsibility she was of no help. When asking for a responsible person she told us she had contacted the agency. We never got any reply from that agency despite several daily mails. Wi-Fi got fixed but aircon never and we where not the only room as we met with 3 other frustrated rooms/guests with same problem.

we loved the yellow room. very spacious and extremely clean. sandra the concierge was very helpful. we loved the quirky decor. mostly very comfortable.
loads to see and do outwith the immediate area
wifi didnt work on fay one but was fixed and air con broke down during heatwave . i do believe unless i had persisted neither would have been fixed. Sandra did her extreme best to liaise with whoever was responsible to sort it all which was eventually done. however we know other guests issues were not fixed
The area of St Michel is very multi cultural and we felt there could have been more French restaurants as we were there for French food.

The room was very quirky with a huge bed and bathroom. The air con worked well and the room was really spacious.
The restaurant directly opposite was gorgeous too.
It is close to the station and really easy to get to.
It’s not a negative, but just a heads up that there’s no lift so lugging suitcases up the stairs is hard work.
