The right place to stay in Varna

Definitely, a hostel with character. It is an apartment on two levels, in great need of renovation, but what potential! The ceiling is particularly beautiful, the division of rooms, bathrooms and the kitchen are so functional. The garden has crazy charm. The balcony open to the park is the pleasure of the morning when the small market fills the air with the pleasant smell of fruit. The church bell ringing, the golden domes of the cathedral, the rocky shade of the trees, are aspects that conquer any traveler. Without hesitation, the hostel is recommended. It's an old building, in fact it's the oldest hostel in Varna. Hugh charm and ambiance for a small price that it's no reason to complain about anything. Best short sleep in the afternoon I've had in the last time.

Nice hostel, quiet but still central, lockers for your Backpack, close to supermarket and the beach. When you are looking for a hostel with hostel atmosphere, then this is the right location👍🌻👍

Happy to stay there again

I have been a regular vistor of Yo-Ho hostel for the last years. The location is very central, just behind Varna theatre, across the Cathedral, with excellent transport links to the Central Bus Station and the Railway Station. Varna Central beach is c. 15 min away on foot. The staff is welcoming, the vibe is homely, it's open 24/7 and both location and hostel are safe. Once you've checked out of the room but have to wait for your train/bus for a few more hours, the staff is friendly enough to let you stay in the Common room and use the bathroom.

The location, a clean kitchen, toilets and showers together.

Didn't really like how the doorbell doesn't work. This would be hard for someone who doesn't use a smart phone

Excellent location. Room was private and cozy. From staff I only interacted with Via and she is super cool and friendly.

The toilets aren’t super clean. Room insulation wasn’t so good. I could hear a guy snoring in the next room

They should at least say "SORRY".

It is very close to center of the city. One of the stuff, a lady is nice.

In the middle of the night, during I am sleeping, two guys sneeked in to the room and started to sleep on the top bunk. They were talking and making out on top of me. That was one of the worst experience in my life. I was very uncomfortable and could not sleep at all. Finally they stopped it after I told them to leave the room. Next day, A stuff said that is not their fault, however they have all the responsiblity for what happened in the hostel. They have responsiblity to offer the environment for we paid.

Wasn't super clean. No heating in the winter and the blankets weren't enough. Very thin walls.

The man who manages it was Soo kind to me. Really good guy. Great location next to a local outdoor market. Supermarket and tourist sights are also close. Close to a bus stop, and train station. Ok kitchen, sitting area and balcony.

Beds were uncomfortable and made lots of noise.

Super friendly and helpful host, the hostel itself is really quirky. A couple of minutes walk to the centre.

The intercom was broken.

Highly recommend!

Excellent location. Close to markets, tourist attractions, food establishments...etc. I was able to leave my luggage all day after checking out because my bus was in the evening. Comfortable bed with individual plugs, light and secure storage.

Bathroom was sometimes smelly. Shower drain was slow to drain.

Great value

Staff rocked, super friendly and helpful guys who were available 24/7. Location is right in the center.

I thought people were just being picky in the reviews, but the bathrooms truly are in need of an overhaul. Not necessarily dirty, but extremely old and in need of renovation. It's hard to keep them clean as a result. Everything else was fine though.
