Splendid view from the house

Friendly and very nice host, excellent view to the lake, delicious breakfast.

Be prepared for steep and narrow roads to get to the house. On the whole it's not a problem!

Probably the best place to stay

Our stay in Shoposki Guest House exceeded our expectations - it was the least expensive stay of all our stays in Macedonia, keeping experience and satisfaction level high. The host is very friendly and helpful (she made some phone calls and could find us a private boat to Golem Grad island). Especially breakfasts were amazing - I didn't expect so much food, which was freshly prepared on time - either early or late. We had chance to try host's made Ajvar and Pindjur. Also, the place is located in a village within Galičica mountains and has a nice view to Ohrid lake and Magaro mountain. If you you are coming without car, it may be challenging to go up/down to the lake, otherwise it's very calm and picturesque place.

All minimal and should NOT be considered as drawbacks, but maybe some low priority points to improve - having electric kettle in a room would be nice (though I am sure we could have hot drink just asking the host). Also common to all Balkans - no place in the shower booth to put shampoo on.

Amazing view from the room on Ohrid's lake. Only 15min away from the city centre, it was pleasant the flux of tourist and stay in this hallow of peace. The host was wonderful, cooked for us some traditional dishes.. you have a cosy and house feeling.

A stunning view in a peaceful place

It has a stunning view of the lake and it’s above hill in a beautiful house and garden. the hosts were wonderful and kindly waited for us to check in (we were late). And their sympathy and hospitality extended to breakfast with several things home made and from local products . We loved Macedonia and for sure we will be back to know better the country and their wonderful gastronomy and hospitality. If you have a car (because is in the top of the hill) don’t hesitate, we highly recommend.

I noticed a single minus, two of the 3 occupied rooms had very, very small bathrooms, almost impossible for an elderly or larger person to use.

Very nice inteligent owner. Cleanes. Tasty homemade breakfast with garden-by-home fresh organic/ ecological vegetables and homemade cookies. Easy parking. Localisation-it is really worth to climb a little bit for view at the morning

Amazing experience!

We stayed there for 2 nights and it was amazing. The view was great, you could see the lake and the mountains. It was super quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We also had diner there one night and the host prepared the original Macedonian food which was amazing. The host was really nice and friendly.

Relaxing stay

Very friendly host, everything was extra clean and well maintained, great breakfast, spacy room with lakeside view. The place was whisper quiet at night. Amazing vegetation surrounding the place. Large yard, 2y old son had a great time. Private parking included. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return. I already miss the morning coffee on the terrace.

The road leading to the place is bad.

Fantastic experience! Great view, excellent breakfast, terrace and yard full of flowers! A bit further up the road but worth it - it is 100% quiet. Very nice host. Overall: 10/10.

Great value for money. Superb view on the lake, incredible breakfast, supernice hosts, offering real local dinner on request, great parking. Fan in the room.

The basic room does not have a balcony, so try to get the other ones. But it's clear when booking, nothing negative just a hint for others ;)

Superb bed & breakfast. We stayed three nights and loved it. Clean and spacious room (Beautiful view OF THE LAKE from the balcony) Kind and lovely hosts with a lot yo tell over Macedonian culture and the surrounding area. Delicious local home made breakfast! Free on site parking, 5 min ride from the lake or 30 min walking. Highly recommended!

The house has a beautiful view of the lake and you can enjoy the sunset from the balcony. The trials to Galichica are close in case you want to go for a hike. Also, the host is very nice. I will definitely come back again.

The best place to stay near Ohrid!

Great place, super friendly hosts, comfortable rooms. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious (thanks a lot!). If you want to see traditional Macedonian village, taste traditional food and experience traditional hospitality- that’s the place you need to visit! Village is near to Ohrid, with few hiking trails starting in the center, stunning views of the lake.

All was perfect.
