Good place to chill for a few days
Food was good and freshly cooked.
The host was extremely helpful.
Although close to the temple of Tirta Gangga the steep stone steps down made it feel like a million miles away when returning back up from a cool refreshing swim at the temple.

Amazing view, quiet and clean! We enjoyed our time and will definitely come back!

I loved this place! Feels like you are right in the jungle! The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking! The room itself is huge. A Moskito net is also provided. The bathroom has an open roof for the extra special jungle feeling :) the owner is lovely and helps you out and he also gives you some tips. It’s right above Tirta Gangga. The breakfast is also very good! I recommend to get some snacks and drinks before heading to the homestay since it’s a quite area. Thanks for this unforgettable stay! One little tip when you are staying there: check out Lahangan Sweet! It was one of my highlights in Bali! Went there for sunrise and it was magical!

Nice facilities, tasty dinners, helpful owners.
Best suited to people with own transport. With the views comes noise from below.

We stayed 3 Nights at this wonderful place. The bungalows are located in the back, facing a wonderful view on the rice terasses. They are surrounded by forest, which creates a very cozy atmosphere. Even on a rainy day, it's just nice to sit outside on the veranda, enjoy the beautiful view, lean back and read a book. So if you are looking for a nice place to relax a little, this is the place to be.
The Room itself is very clean and comes with an outdoor bathroom with a hot shower. Even though there is no AC, there is a ceiling fan and an additional fan. They both worked well, but we didn't really need them.
The Tirta Gangga Palace is just 10 minutes away by foot. You have to use a small pathway through the forest, which is quite an experience by itself. Make sure to get up early for Tirta Gangga, as you will have the place nearly to your own. Also on the main road, there are various local restaurants, where you can get some good food for a good price.
Other than that, the place is somewhat remote and getting a Grab is not easy. The road to the Homestay is not the best, but to be honest, we have had much worse. So make sure to rent a scooter, if you feel comfortable driving. The host family is very kind and friendly, helping us to rent a scooter from Amed, as the nearby rentals had no scooters left or were to expensive. Not only did they help us to get to Amed to pickup the scooter and bring it back on the next day in the evening, we even got a discounted rental price for a brand new motorcycle. They also helped organizing a ferry to the Gili Islands last minute (our tickets got canceled the day before we had to leave) and organized a transport to Padang Bai at a fair price. They really give their best, so you can have a nice stay and feel welcomed.
The breakfast was exceptional, as you don't only get a pancake or scrambled egg with a coffee or tea as usual, but also fresh fruits and fresh fruit juice.
There are no real downsides to this place. Just make sure that you either organize a driver or rent a scooter, as you will be quite stuck at the Homestay otherwise. Even on the main road, we could find a taxi, which is quite unusual as you normally can't walk 2 minutes on foot in Bali, without someone asking, if you need a taxi. So we were quite happy the hosts helped us with the scooter. Just ask them, I am sure they can also organize a private driver.

Ketut, the host, is very attentive and eager to make your stay as pleasant as it can be.
With my gf we spent 2 nights at his home and every night we fell asleep with the sound of the forest and the next morning when waking up we had the same beautiful soundtrack in our ears.
The room was spacious and clean with the bonus of a nice view on the surrounding rice fields.
All in all a place when not only you can cut ties with any form of worries and stress but also experience the true face of Bali's countryside and its spellbinding and unique rural charme.
A place to happily return to.

Amazing location in jungle with a view. Walk for five minutes to get to Tirta Ganga. Nice walk. Rooms and food perfect. Ketut will help you with local walks and rides.

We really enjoyed our time here, far from the madding crowd. There was a lovely view from our balcony of trees in the foreground and rice fields on the other side of the valley. The room was spotlessly clean and everything worked well including the Wifi. The bathroom was open to the sky and had a little garden. The family was friendly and the owner drove us to our next destination at reasonable cost. You need to be reasonably fit and agile to access Tirta Gangga via the trail that leads down to it.

Quiet, calm, beautiful view from the veranda, very hospitable hosts!

the host is extremely nice, the wife had a welcome drink ready for us, and the owner explained all the tours on a map that he gave us. they served dinner and were ready to assist us with any need (we forgot the mosquito spray and they gave us a free bottle). they offer also massages. beautiful sight of the jungle, but the room is clean and comfortable. no mold. a few minutes from the water palace.
the bathroom is partially open air, to avoid mold formation. this means that if it rains, you might get your feet wet while sitting on the toilet :)

Friendly owners, very helpful.
Not so easy to find, the map at Booking.com was not corret.
4.7
Beautiful views of the rice terraces outside the rooms on the balcony (where you’d have breakfast), lovely bathroom and comfy bed.
Tirta Gangga was a literal 2 minute walk down through the jungle!
Host was really helpful and informative. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay😊
4.7
Nice small terrace in front of the room with view on the garden, trees and some ricefield. Great place to read or even work (there is a large table).
The owner is very kind and helpful.
Good base for a couple of nights to explore this part of Bali (Tirta Gangga, Pura Lempuyang ...).
The access is through a slightly damaged path (but both car and motorbike can take it).
For food option for lunch or dinner you have to drive back (or even walk, only 10 minutes through the stairs, but you need to walk up the hill on the way back) to Tirta Gangga at least. Otherwise Amlapura is about 10-15min away.

Very friendly host. Beautiful view. Only 10min walk through the jungle to tirta gangga. Good breakfast
When it's raining the walk down to tirta gangga is super slippery and full of water. No shop near by. Grab App didn't wort there. I couldn't rent a scooter near by, so better bring one if you need one. The road to this place is super bad. I felt bad for the Taxis to got there.
4.7
Walking distance to tirtangagga water palace.
Fair taxi price from the owner for pick ups and drop offs.
Area is remote. Hired a scooter from Amed delivered to the door.
The road noise.
The loud music from the neighbors on religious holidays.

Owner is very friendly and nice homemade food, very detailed explanation of nearby area to visit, Tirthaganga is in walking distance.
Breakfast is nice.. overall good place to visit.

The view !! Woaw, it is the best view we had for an amazing and complete breakfast.
The room is so great, outside bathroom, very kind host and you can order food for lunch or dinner. This was absolutely delicious.
Perfect location if you want to go to tirta gangga. We also had a map made with love and we went to the rice field, best tour ever :-)
Thanks again !

Very nice and spacious room with open bathroom, quite unique.
Spectacular view through the jungle on the rice fields.
Host was very friendly and informative -unlike many others, this host doesn't try to sell you tours or shows, but he gives very valuable tips to do around the area yourself and for free. If we stayed longer, we would have done a guided tour with this host, because he didn't try to push us into such tours, which we have experienced at many other places.
Very good breakfast. We had to leave early morning and it was served super punctual.
We liked everything, but you should be a bit adventurous, as the place is in the middle of the jungle with nothing much around. There is a path going down to the water palace which is nice to walk and hiking through the rice terraces, but you have to be the right person for such active things.

The room looks directly into amazing rice-field. There is a lovely balcony where you can enjoy a lovely breakfast with fruits, pancakes, and a huge juice while admiring the nature around. The place is so relaxing, the bed is big and comfortable. Everything is very clean and the room is cleaned regularly.
The couple running the place is lovely. Ketut and his wife are very kind. They even organised a balinese cooking class for us and invited us to enter their kitchen to show us. They helped us organising our transport to the airport and always gave us all the info we needed.
I highly recommend this little gem in the nature far from overly crowded turistic area. Perfect place to relax and slow the pace a bit.
Thank you again Ketut for the very pleasant stay! I hope to see you and your family again!
Nothing. We loved everything

Great view and excellent host with great tips on the area.

Ketut, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and having a great experience staying at his homestay. Ketut even offered to drive me to some of the attractions I couldn't walk to. You can't beat the location, right next to Tirta Gangga, Maha Gangga Valley, Lahangan Sweet, and so many other east Bali attractions. The included breakfast was delicious (especially the banana pancakes), and I enjoyed it with a beautiful sunrise view over the lush green jungle and rice terraces in the morning (refer to the photo). I ended up extending my stay here an extra night because I loved it so much! Staying here felt like having my own little slice of paradise. When I come back to Bali, I'm staying here again! I highly recommend it to other travelers. It's amazing value for money.
Nothing. Everything exceeded my expectations!

excellent breakfast, good avises from the owner, close to the aquatic palace walking distance, restaurant closeby
a lot of noise from the road just below the room. I had to sleep with ear plugs. Plus the usual roasters
