superb upgraded room with terrace

The room was quirky and interesting. The bathroom was good and modern. Parking was very good and the location was quiet.
Strattons can not really be described as a hotel. It has no service at all; no evening meal, no proper breakfast in a dining room. I expect the choice of a cooked English breakfast at a hotel. Booking in was not until 4pm and even then was 25 minutes late after a phone call. Checking out was too early at 10 am.

We wanted someplace in the centre of Swaffham and Strattons is certainly that. We did not stay in the main house but in Cocoes 1, one of the buildings off the main courtyard. Our room was large, beautifully decorated, had a huge comfortable bed and a double ended freestanding bath.
There is no bar or restaurant at Strattons but plenty options within easy walking distance. There is a small fridge in the room and you are supplied with milk, water, bagels, pastries, yoghurt, and fruit for breakfast.
Tea and coffee are also supplied.

Great location & generous rooms. Complimentary breakfast items very good.
Unfortunately the restaurant has closed down. Have eaten there many times and the food was always very good. Such a shame.

Would just like to say thank you to Less and Ness for being super accommodating for our stay they really couldn’t have helped us any more if they tried and we really did appreciate it under our circumstances!! Thank you!
The breakfast was also lovely and just what we needed! Thank you so much

Very beautiful place to stay. Ideal location right in the centre of the town so easy access to local pubs and restaurants which were a very short walk away. Breakfast was simple but lovely. The bed and bedding was best we've ever had, we had the best nights sleep and felt well rested.
My one and only disappointment was it was a surprise night away for my fiancé birthday and I'd asked if they could help with balloons to decorate the room, a cake and a platter all of which should of been out when we arrived, I was quite happy paying whatever the extra was going to be. I was told a price beforehand which I was obviously fine with and balloons would be charged per their "supplier" again i was fine with this. When I arrived I quickly went to reception and paid the extra amount, I mentioned the balloons to be told there's only 1! When I asked why the lady stated its not eco friendly. If I had known this I wouldn't of booked! We were having a party a couple of days later so the balloons would of been taken with us and used again. The cake was in the fridge which I understand but the platter didn't arrive till around 30 mins later. The surprise didn't go as I planned and felt completely ruined. I would of much preferred to be told before the stay that they didn't want to help me with the surprise than ruin it for me. The stay just left me deflated.

nothing at all was good
nothing at all was so bad value for money , we stopped for 2 nights the service was no existent, no food on site no drinks available on site was told we can walk to town for breakfast from local cafes . room was very poor tv could not get the menus up, toilet keep flushing had to keep pressing it to make it stop , bathroom was awful tiles stained in bath and very poor on walls . stain on rug in lounge . when we returned back to room on 2 nd day no room tides had been done bed not made tea and Coffey not topped up . went to check out on last day reception was closed at 9 am had to phone up and was told just leave key in door , no facilities on site at all would highly recommend a wide birth

beautiful building and furnishings. Exceptionally clean with amazing facilities - particularly the bath, and being given proper coffee and a cafetière with fresh milk! I felt incredibly well looked after and has a lovely nights sleep in a huge comfy bed!

The bedroom was fine, but there was no bar or coffee shop at the hotel, it was just a bedroom. For the price I would have expected mor facilities

Unfortunately I arrived quite late in the evening due to work, I would have liked to have had longer to enjoy my beautiful room!
Although I arrived late, the owners were there to greet me and helped me carry my suitcase up.
I'd had a long journey and no chance to eat, there was a delicious tomato and mozzarella wrap waiting for me amongst a few other bits and a chocolate pastry! Such a lovley touch.
Rooms were beautifully decorated... Next time I am in the area I will definitely stay again.

Stunning property, great food and really helpful staff.
Only one small suggestion- a jug of water on the table at breakfast instead of tiny glasses that we had to keep asking to be refilled (was waiter service, no self service available).

You must go visit if only for the restaurant, the cooking is wonderful - a real gem with innovative cooking and a lovely wine list. Our room (The Stalls) was a bit quirky and probably not to everyone's taste but we liked it and it has a spacious sitting room so good for longer stays. Overall really lovely place to stay and you'd never know it was there, tucked away behind the high street in a quiet courtyard garden.
The bathroom was weird with a fully tiled bath more like a horse trough and the tiled floor was freezing first thing in the morning. Swaffham is a bit disappointing, not the cute market town we were expecting but that's not the hotel's fault and it's well placed for exploring the coast and surrounding villages which are super pretty.

It was beautiful all local produce and cooked perfectly, served with a smile couldn’t of asked for anything more, the outside area in the morning sunshine was soo lovely too.
There was nothing we didn’t like ❤️🙏❤️

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, this hotel is an absolutely delight from the tranquil gardens to the funky interiors. I loved it
Nothing I didn’t like. Air con would have been good but the unsightly units would have ruined the aesthetic. maybe nice toiletries in the bathrooms would have been nice. The plastic pump with shampoo/body wash was a bit premier inn. The milk in bottles in the mini bar was a nice vintage touch. maybe some complementary biscuits would have been nice.
