The apparent we stayed in was very dated bed was uncomfortable the plates weren't very nice there was only one fork for 2 people the skirting boards were dirty round the inside of the toilet door wasn't very clean wouldn't stay in apartment again and wouldn't recommend it not worth the money also curtain was partly hanging of at one side and the windows were very dirty 😭😭

Staff were lovely and facilities were great.
The walls/ floors and ceilings were quite thin and could hear majority of the noise that the people were making above us.

Lovely, magical hotel (as it was all decorated for xmas ) - like a trip back in time ( in a good way). Room was large and clean with a river view ( they upgraded us to a larger room which was so kind) staff were amazing and very accomodating - the chef made us a different soup! If you like whiskey they have an amazing selection! Highly recommended

No room for improvement absolutely perfect please don't change anything

Excellent service and wonderful food.
Plus little extra s like welcoming drink in room
We had to park in the road outside so perhaps a dedicated car park would be nice

This is my "Go-to" Hotel in Caithness. Well done the Private Owners - others should follow your lead but don't.
Nothing - I'll be back

Big choice on cooked breakfast menu and very tasty food. We had both dinner and lunch in The Bistro and found the same high standard. The hotel is in a prime location and our roomy apartment was very close by.

Wonderful staff, great location and warm lovely rooms with perfect touches. I was so impressed with attention to detail, comfort, value and a very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. I can also recommend the fabulous breakfast options and the bistro at No. 1. Faultless dinner with beautiful ingredients and high on taste.
I liked everything

Staff very welcoming in reception and bar. They also allowed us to change rooms on arrival (for superstitious reason) without fuss.
Parking available on street right outside.
Restaurant good quality and value. Breakfast was fine. Plus they provided us with a packed lunch to take with us
The location is quite noisy particularly at bar closing time.
The room was small and quite tired but had everything we needed.
The bed was not comfortable
