Good location, amazing view, nice breakfast
We had very strong smell of cat’s pee on the carpet. There is no AC.

Great location and views. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Limited, unpleasant and unfriendly staff.
The room was not the cleanest. Facilities (especially the bathroom) are quite outdated. The room was also damp and tends to be hot at night (no A/C nor ventilators). Not the best value for money.

Clean, great location, serves breakfast, has a bar, parking lot, views, owner on premises. So happy we Got a last minute booking here when the small hotel in town we originally were booked in was very uncomfortable— room/ lobby very warm and no AC.
Being on top of a hill, THIS hotel is very comfortable with mountain breezes and wonderful view with slider to balcony and many other outdoor seating areas.

The staff were very helpful. The view of Furnas was gorgeous. The breakfast was wonderful and the facilities were very good.

Very nice hotel. The room was big with its own bathroom. I loved the big bathtub! And the view from the balcony (3rd floor) was so beautiful.
I highly appreciate that there was a cattle with two cups and tea (black and green) as well as a big beautiful bottle of local mineral water in the room. The tea and water were refilled every day when the maids cleaned up the room.
The bedding sheets smelled fresh and the bed was big and comfortable. There was also an extra blanket if you feel chilly.
There was a really nice chain of lights attached to the wall behind the bed that gave a cozy light. Additionally, there were two table lamps on each side of the bed and a big room light.
The balcony had two curtains, one see through curtain to keep insects out and a thick curtain to keep the room dark at night. They did a good job.
A second pool was being renovated while I was there which should be ready to be used in July 2023. I didn't get to use the pools because the weather was too chilly and sun and rain alternated too often, so I preferred the hot springs in the city instead, but in the peak of summer they would be really nice to have.
The hotel was super quiet and the staff was friendly and speaks fluent English and French. I really enjoyed my stay. I don't understand why this hotel has only 1 star. It should be at least 2, if not 3. I highly recommend this place.
The only thing that might bother some people is that in order to get to the hotel you have to walk up a small hill. It's not really an issue and I think it's worth it because it means you get to be in a quiet place.

Hotel was comfortable, quiet, stylish and light. All bedrooms and public rooms have a wall/sliding doors of glass to take in the sub-tropical view down the 'valley' - and framed by palms at the hotel. Lots of comfortable sitting and lounging areas inside and out (all with the view). Pleasant bar. Pool/snooker room (no view!). Swimming pool was larger than expected from the picture - small but adequate to swim in a circle. Good breakfast: standard range, but all good quality and fresh, with some changes day-to-day. Buffet constantly topped up. Bedroom, unlike most hotels, had two comfy (and stylish) arm chairs, as well as balcony furniture. Firm, but not hard, bed. Good wifi. (Best we had in the Azores). Parking at hotel (mid-May) fine. Easy walk (10 mins) to restaurants, along attractive residential street. Friendly and pleasant staff. All in all, loved it. Marketing types would call it a bijou, boutique hotel!
Nothing.

The hotel is quite beautiful, and the room too. It has a nice view on the town and on the scenery. The breakfast is alright, continental breakfast like, from 8 to 10.
The road from the hotel to the town is not very safe nor practical to go by walking, so we used the car even for short rides which is a shame. The swimming pool is smaller than from the pictures, anyway in September it's rather cold, it was almost always desert. Then having to throw away the used toilet paper in a bin is not really nice, but it seems quite widespread in that area.

The location provided stunning views and calm. It is well decorated and there’s always little nooks where you can relax.
Our bathroom wasn’t the cleanest - I kept finding long black hairs on the floor.

I think some things can be updated like the curtains, but otherwise it was a good facility.
