About this house rental

Wake up to a beautiful view from this A-frame home built by our family. Unpack and unwind! Spend the day hiking(or snow shoeing) the property(60 acres), go into town for a great meal and entertainment and finish the day by the firepit roasting s'mores. The sunset is absolutely breathtaking (visible from inside or outside). This house is our retreat and we invite you to enjoy the calmness of the area and to Slow Down. Unplug in the Berkshires as we so enjoy doing. Tons of activities in every season to enjoy in the Berkshires!
Close to various attractions: Museums, Ski resorts(Bosquet, Jiminy Peak, etc), Notchview
For Cross Country skiing or snow shoeing, Ashmere Lake for kayaking, countless parks/reserves, Farmers Markets, Wineries, Breweries, Orchards, Shopping, Concert Venues, etc all within a short drive.
We have two pairs of adult snow shoes and a sled to share! Ping pong table and corn hole too!
Pots, pans, knives, cutlery, slow cooker, Panini maker, toaster, Keurig and Dutch oven included. Wood is supplied for the firepit, as well as adirondack chairs to sit. A gas grill is on the deck, and propane is provided. Games and puzzles are also available for your use.
Linens(sheets, towels and blankets) included in each bedroom as well. Laundry and cleaning included.
4 WD VEHICLE highly recommended during winter & rainy seasons!

We felt right at home in this beautiful, cozy cabin! With an almost 2 year old and a 3 year old we felt very comfortable and the house was child proof. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay here!

This was a nice, clean cabin in the woods. Amenities were awesome! Everything from a Keurig to waffle maker, pleanty of hot water and a fire pit too. Hard to find on gravel road in the dark.

My brothers and I (all 40+) really enjoyed our stay at this remote property in Western MA. If you are looking for some quiet quality time including some time looking at the stars by the fire pit, this is your place! Allison was great to work with on coordination and house was well maintained and equipped

We stayed here for 5 days. It exceeded my expectations all around. I did over look the no TV thing as I see others have as well. We found out when we got there and actually really enjoyed our time even more than we thought with our kids. A TRUE time to disconnect!! My only complaint were the bees. One of my kids is allergic so we were not able to go outside. There are a lot!

Just what we like with modern amenities and no TV! Had great fun playing ping pong and the cart was truly helpful for a Tanglewood concert on the lawn.

Definitely recommend arriving in daylight as the final 20-30 minutes is on very remote (often dirt) roads and it would be difficult to navigate the turns. Also locating the key box (which is on a deck post) is best done in daylight. Was hoping for a better view, but the trees obscured that. The location was extremely quiet however. We enjoyed grilling on the porch and paying ping pong in the basement.

Great if you are looking for a getaway in the woods. Comfortable, plenty of bedrooms, and great location. Doesn't have a television, but that may be a plus depending on how you look at it! Wifi was also a little weak, but again, we were reading books and playing board games with our kids so it wasn't an issue. Overall, great experience and very straightforward check in/out process!

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a winter getaway. Quiet, secluded setting. Huge windows to enjoy the outdoors. Proximity to hiking. We even had the kids sledding next to the driveway!! It has great sleeping arrangements for kids, and the upstairs room with the 2 twins and queen was pretty well insulated, sound wise, from the rest of the house. Note the dining space is on the second floor, so trips up stairs from the kitchen are required. Kitchen has everything we needed to make meals. Would definitely stay again!

My family really enjoyed our weekend in the cabin! We had a family get together in Worthingon and made a weekend out of it. Alison was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I would highly recommend staying here!

For my group it was perfect location.Well appointed and very comfortable. Deck was great for evening dinner and drinks. 1 overlook on my part was no TV. It was disappointing because it was Fedx cup second round major golf tournament. Overall was perfect for us . Thank you Allison!

Our family had a wedding in nearby Worthington and needed a place for 8. House was great, plenty of space and equipped well for us to cook and relax in between the various events. Nice view and very relaxing, quiet spot.

Very clean and as described. The cabin had everything my family and I needed for an enjoyable fall weekend in the Berkshires. Great views from the living room, dining room, and wrap-around deck. Kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking (which we did nightly). The location of this cabin is a bit off the beaten path, so we did need to drive a decent ways to get to grocery stores, restaurants, family activities, etc. Otherwise, highly recommended, and would definitely stay at this property again!

It's a beautiful property in a great location! It comfortably accommodated 2 families with 4 young kids all under the age of 6. We loved the deck (because of the huge windows we were able to sip wine and enjoy the sunset while keeping an eye on the kids happily playing the living room) and loved exploring the area all around. The place was great and we would HIGHLY recommend :).

It's a very clean & comfortable cabin with an amazing view. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching & listening to the wildlife. Just know that the roads are very bumpy & some are dirt so in wet seasons that could be a challenge. You're also pretty remote but Walmart & grocery stores are about a half hour away. All in all we had a great time & even saw a moose & a bear! (Not on the property, while we driving around.)

This place is a little bit out in the woods, but we loved it. Lots of room, comfortable, beautiful deck, 30-35 min to Beckett, Lee, Lenox or Stockbridge. Communication with owners always clear and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great long weekend getaway at this house, with plenty of room for two families to meet up (the 4 kids all enjoyed rooming together upstairs). Great views, and a well appointed home with all the tools and equipment you need. It's a fairly long drive to a grocery store, so I'd recommend stocking up before arriving.

We truly enjoyed our quiet vacation here!Although,there was no t.v,we brought one of our small ones with us,for my mother.My husband had gotten 6 channels with an inside t.v. antenna. So,she was able to watch some of her shows.My husband and I sat on the wrap around deck mostly having our coffee or watching the wonderful night sky full of stars!The house was very well stocked with all kinds of spices,coffee pods,condiments, if you needed them,too many to mention!The beds were comfy,and sheets and blankets soft.We liked to use the upstairs shower,which was easy to get in and out of.We also enjoyed playing corn hole and ping pong.The only thing that,I would be complaining about,would be,most of our time there was windy,so,we did not enjoy the nice firepit.All in all,it was definitely a quiet vacation,just sitting in the living room and taking in all the beauty of nature.So glad we were able to find this serenity!

Beautiful Home in the Forest

This beautiful home was clean, well appointed, well stocked, and spacious. Although there wasn’t any snow for XC skiing and snowshoeing, we still enjoyed our vacation, mostly because the house was so great. We played Ping-Pong and corn hole, cooked our own meals, played board games, and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. The kids loved having the loft (large bedroom and game room/dining room) all to themselves. Allison responded promptly to all messages, and a snowplow even arrived early in the morning when it finally snowed!

The property was "as advertised" with the exception of the owners not mentioning that the neighbor does not like people hunting in the area. He made that VERY clear to one of the guests. This was not an issue for us as we hunt public land 20 mins away. We did have to sign paperwork with the property owner after the neighbor called them stating we would not hunt their property, but this wasn't an issue for us. Overall, very pleased with the property but I hope the owners will add "no hunting" to their property description in order to not have future last minute issues.

this is a terrific place to stay. We were lucky to have stayed during the first snowstorm this year. It was a bit rough going down the hill in my Sedan. Very nerve wrecking but it was just so beautiful and clean, pristine is the word that comes to mind. The house is a nice size with a very enjoyable living room the way living rooms should be. Family gathering place. The eating area upstairs/game area is a bit exhausting after awhile. Serving and bringing stuff up and down is naturally tiring but you can always choose to eat by the kitchen counter too. I didn't mind the workout. Plus the views. This house has the best views. Giant glass windows just made it perfect! I would definitely stay again and likely in the Spring. It is a bit far from the main Berkshires hub especially in poorer driving conditions but we came to relax and unwind from the city and it delivered beyond that.Thank you to the host.
