The room felt clean, but it was very loud. Easy check in/out.
The uniqueness of it
Very loud from the train noises, people partying, and the upstairs guest stomping

Cheap, but probably not cheap enough.
This place was cheap but given the weird lack of promised facilities it should’ve been cheaper. It was clean, and the hot water worked. There was free street parking and the neighborhoods close by were lovely. Aesthetically a cute place. Great in theory.
WiFi only worked for a couple hours out of our three day stay. There appeared to be some sort of satellite box but that also was just for show, and did not work. The codes we were originally given to access our door were wrong and there was no one there to help us check in. And by check in, I mean grab key cards from various lock boxes chained to a stair case. We were told several times it would be out last four digits of our phone number and it ended up not being even remotely close to that. We had to call two lines, before giving up and dialing the emergency number. The walls were paper thin and the couple in the next room over literally made our walls bump when they… “wrestled”. The hotel itself is directly in front of a train line so, great if you’re riding the MAX, but also not so great if you like to not hear train sounds in the wee hours. There was also a strange lack of power outlets resulting in weird things like lamps that were purely decorative, with the plugs just draped down where you’d think an outlet could or might be. I had to sit on the floor to use the hair dryer. When we went to turn in our keys at 10:55 on checkout someone was already taking the lock box our room keys were stashed in in lieu of having a receptionist, so luckily we caught them before we got dinged for “missing keys”., which the establishment warns about constantly in all signs and paperwork. Calling this place a hotel is like calling a fishing boat a cruise ship. Ultimately we stayed safe and warm but I’m pretty bummed on how silly every part of our stay was.

overpriced self-service hotel, not a jr. suite
didn’t like that the TriMet station was so noisy that it kept me up till midnight!! didn’t like that a person ( either guest or not) decided to play their music in the Court yard at full volume at 10:30pm, causing me to yell at them and ask them to turn down the music, which they did! There is no on-site staff so I had to handle it myself!

We enjoyed the Kenton and would stay again.
Staff was exceptional in making accommodations for my boyfriend and I. We called to inquire about extending our stay and they went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met professionally and respectfully.
No on site laundry, TV has auto shutoff overnight (we like background noise while we sleep)

Very good
I liked the check-in/check out process and how cute the room was.
There was no room service or new towels, toilet paper. I stayed there for a couple days. The area at times was a little sketch. Wish there was designated parking for safety reasons.

A great, clean little motel in a great neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again.
It is an unstaffed motel but we did not need any assistance with anything. I can see how someone might have problems with that but it was a great stay with no snags.
