The uniqueness of it
Very loud from the train noises, people partying, and the upstairs guest stomping

This place was cheap but given the weird lack of promised facilities it should’ve been cheaper. It was clean, and the hot water worked. There was free street parking and the neighborhoods close by were lovely. Aesthetically a cute place. Great in theory.
WiFi only worked for a couple hours out of our three day stay. There appeared to be some sort of satellite box but that also was just for show, and did not work. The codes we were originally given to access our door were wrong and there was no one there to help us check in. And by check in, I mean grab key cards from various lock boxes chained to a stair case. We were told several times it would be out last four digits of our phone number and it ended up not being even remotely close to that. We had to call two lines, before giving up and dialing the emergency number. The walls were paper thin and the couple in the next room over literally made our walls bump when they… “wrestled”. The hotel itself is directly in front of a train line so, great if you’re riding the MAX, but also not so great if you like to not hear train sounds in the wee hours. There was also a strange lack of power outlets resulting in weird things like lamps that were purely decorative, with the plugs just draped down where you’d think an outlet could or might be. I had to sit on the floor to use the hair dryer. When we went to turn in our keys at 10:55 on checkout someone was already taking the lock box our room keys were stashed in in lieu of having a receptionist, so luckily we caught them before we got dinged for “missing keys”., which the establishment warns about constantly in all signs and paperwork. Calling this place a hotel is like calling a fishing boat a cruise ship. Ultimately we stayed safe and warm but I’m pretty bummed on how silly every part of our stay was.

didn’t like that the TriMet station was so noisy that it kept me up till midnight!!
didn’t like that a person ( either guest or not) decided to play their music in the Court yard at full volume at 10:30pm, causing me to yell at them and ask them to turn down the music, which they did! There is no on-site staff so I had to handle it myself!

Staff was exceptional in making accommodations for my boyfriend and I. We called to inquire about extending our stay and they went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met professionally and respectfully.
No on site laundry, TV has auto shutoff overnight (we like background noise while we sleep)

I liked the check-in/check out process and how cute the room was.
There was no room service or new towels, toilet paper. I stayed there for a couple days. The area at times was a little sketch.
Wish there was designated parking for safety reasons.

It is an unstaffed motel but we did not need any assistance with anything. I can see how someone might have problems with that but it was a great stay with no snags.

Very simple check in, responsive agents on chat. Very clean, good location, good value.
Wasn't sure how to go about getting more towels.

for a motel it is very nice well kept. the rooms at least the one I stayed in had it’s ow. little charm with a Mural painted on wall. It was nice clean and simple it brought the industrial with modern accented with beach. the court yard was beautiful it brings a community feel to the motel. I like seeing a motel that doesn’t look like it may hold a drug den and this one seems like it was for your millennial traveler .
I arrived around 6:30 pm. I found another guest waiting by the office that was closed. they had been trying to get a hold of the number posted for after hours. I managed to get through when I called and tried to get them to help both of us out but they had notified me that her room had been canceled due to a booking.com error. They then gave me instructions where the lockbox’s where so I could retrieve my room key. They were realtor lockboxes hung from the stair well. When I was in my room I got two knocks on the door. the first was three people who where expecting someone else. They left and then one returned and let me know that they had reserved that room and I let know about the number to call and see if they could help them out. Also I found a room labeled amenities I went in and all that was there was an ice machine and I had no ice bucket available to me. Honestly I was hoping for a washer and dryer. My suitcase got soaked and all my clothes got wet on my travels if the day earlier.

It’s right across the street from the train stop which is definitely a plus if you’re not renting a vehicle. It’s in a quiet little area which made it easy to wind down for the night and fall asleep.
I didn’t care too much for the location just because it is a little sketchy at night. We rented a car for 1 day and were worried the entire time since there isn’t on property parking. I would’ve also liked to have more than just 2 towels in our room. I know it’s a smaller room meant for 2 but when you’re here for 4-5 days it would be nice to have extra and not have to rely on contacting the property manager since they aren’t always on the property.

It was a nice property, but they need to make sure someone is reachable at all times as we and other people were having trouble checking in and no one would answer the number listed in the email.
Max is loud next to the hotel, there’s no manager on site and they don’t answer the phone

I liked the location- close to downtown Kenton. Probably would have used the outdoor area is the weather was better. Since it rains all the time in Portland I would suggest the outside area be covered.
Soap dispenser at bathroom sink didn't work. Shower caddy with soap etc wasn't labeled. Didn't know which was which. One of the table lamps by the bed was not working.

Good location
Check in process is no good. Horrible customer service.

The location was nice, good restaurants and cafe nearby.
My main issues were with the bathroom. The sink and shower were clogged so whenever we’d use it water would just collect. Also, there was no shower gel left in the container which was an unpleasant surprise when showering.
It took my partner and I a while to get a key to our room. We arrived around midnight and got multiple emails telling us what the code would be for the lock box. However when we got there the code was different and had to call someone to try to get the right code. We were told the code was different because they hadn’t received payment but I know I had paid ahead of time.

Nobody there to bother you
There were NO STAFF on site. This may be the way of the future of hospitality - saves money. I had difficulty finding the key lock box, but called the number on the Office door, and got the info I needed to get the key. If you need anything else though, you're stuck - nobody there to help, or give you an extra towel, toilet paper, or directions. Had to change my expectations.

Transport routes directly outside to get easily to the city centre. Lovely nearby shops and cafes. Our room was clean on arrival and comfortable with a comfy bed, TV, fridge, and WiFi. The AC/heater unit worked really well and warmed the room quickly. We liked the arty touches and the mural above our bed.
We didn't see any staff whilst staying, and although we had been asked to message any queries it might have been nice to feel a staff presence, especially for noise issues from other guests in the night. Our room wasn't cleaned during the stay which was okay apart from needing to put our rubbish in nearby public bins when it built up.

Good. neighborhood
Very clean
comfortable
There was no money coffee
There was not a location within walking distance to get coffee
There was no soap in the shower dispenser
The actual price per night and the price promoted on Booking . com did not match. The facility charged $40 more than that advertised on Booking

booked for one of our drivers that broke down - he wouldn't stay there due to the area being in a bad area and room looked bad, too

Room was clean nice shower as well.
Location is pretty noisy. No on-site staff are available. I called reservations at 8 am to try and extend my stay. Was told to use Booking.com however there was no availability according to the site. Reservations were not helpful and customer service didn’t know they had the wrong number to the hotel. I was not able to extend my stay and ended my trip early bc of the fiasco.

The location was great and the price was good for a limited budget
The room could use a real chair and small table. I thought the room was pretty dirty. There was sticky stuff off the fridge and floor nearby. The bathroom shower curtain is filthy. The lamp near the bed just covered with dust.
