The setting and location was really special and of course the castle. The staff in service / restaurants are very friendly.
The rooms are kept very warm and cosy which is very nice especially on a cold damp Feb night. The bathroom had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Our room had a well stocked tea and coffee tray with yummy biscuits.
Reception was a bit uninviting when we arrived as we came a little early 12pm for the 1pm Land rover experience and the check in rule is at 3pm. However when we did check in later that afternoon reception staff briefly explained the room location this was difficult to find especially with an 79 year old father. He defiantly got his steps in for the day or the whole of Feb.
We also had a meal booked in the restaurant 1851 at 8pm unfortunately we experienced one or two issues which was disappointing.

Castle driving up to it was outstanding staff in some areas were really nice other didn’t seem to know what was going on
Bathroom was fitted poorly felt like the bath was rocking when having a shower
3.5
Food and very pleasant staff / also a beautiful setting
The bedroom was small and sub standard with its lack of facilities - it seems to be set up as a specialist wedding location ( which is fab) but not to the detriment of the normal rooms used by general visitors.

Location, staff, food all great
Room very hot, other guests very noisy during the night (large wedding party), decor a bit dated

Buffet style breakfast good quality produce everything you could ask for in typical English breakfast pastries yoghurt fruit or could have ham cheese fruit cereal fruit juice or continental tea coffee good and toast jams and service was excellent and greeted in the morning with lovely smile Brilliant.
Try to think something aww yes the outdoor seating needs cushion on but apart from that brilliant and I would definitely be returning.

The castle and grounds. The views from the walk to Beeston Castle. The food was excellent..
That we had to ask for service.
We were asked if we wanted to see the wine menu, which we replied no. Then after a while we had to ask if we could order our drinks. Then about 10 minutes later we had to ask if we could order our food.
Our room
There was something sharp on the floor leading to the bathroom. Which we kept catching our foot on.
The window banging all night, which we thought was spooky. Only to find out in the morning while making a drink that it was actually open and not locked in the latch. (So our room wasn't Haunted lol)

The setting and building is magnificent. Really set back in time with great history.
No hot running water in the shower with no care when complained about other than ‘we will tell the maintenance team’ that was it! Poor, very poor

Room very small bed small mattress unsaleable bathroom not clean . If you get married there they are OK just stopping there no one has time for you not one staff helps you out tells you anything about the place or what to do bar we was the only couple there.you would think for £212 per night you would get abit more

Some areas were cold. location of our bedroom in the turret challenging. Torn carpet in a deluxe twin not what we would have expected.
