Perfect house for 2 couples.
Pool was awesome, we wish the pool cleaner hadn’t been in the pool the whole time. But we made it work.
Plenty of space outside. We loved all the outdoor living upstairs and down.
We even had access to the garage for parking!!

This house was perfect for the 7 of us. Kids loved the pool, amazing, changing night lights! Beautiful view of the coast and ocean from main floor and upstairs. Coffee on the lanai every morning was best way to start the day. Convenient to everything north and south. House was exactly as described and as photos represented. We’ll be back!!

The house was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. View was amazing. House has a perfect setup to give everyone their own space. Perfect vacation home.

Beautiful well appointed property with great pool. Window a/c in bedrooms are old/loud, but due to property elevation/location they weren't needed during the evening hours. The driveway is steep and narrow so best to arrive during daylight hours. Kitchen is well stocked and it is in a very quiet neighborhood. Requests/questions were promptly answered. Thank you. Fabulous view of entire kona area.

This beautiful house is in a stunning location up on the hillside with a panoramic view of Kailua-Kona and the ocean. Its elevation means that temps are several degrees cooler than on the coast and a wonderful breeze cools the house. The property is extremely well equipped, clean and well-maintained. Balconies, the deck and pool make it an ideal place to relax and take in the view. Kona is a short drive down the hill with all its amenities. Communication with the property manager was easy and responsive. Wouldn't hesitate to choose this property again and reccommend it unreservedly.

The house was equipped with everything needed during our stay. Very spacious and roomy. The views are amazing! The only complaint from some family members, we're from those who stayed in bedrooms that did not have an in-wall AC unit. Management was nice, and were quick to resolve the minor issues we had during our stay. Overall, GREAT property. Definitely recommend for big families.

House was as advertised -- AMAZING views, great pool, nice big living room with ample dining and hanging out space. Pool/play room downstairs was nice, too. Only constructive feedback is that the kitchen is not as nicely appointed as it should be (quantity and quality of cooking tools, with pots & pans in short supply and poor condition, too few glasses and barware, 1 cutting board, etc.), and the pillows are flat and hard as rocks. But overall, a great property. We'd rent again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Honu O Kai! What a beautiful view! We were in the area for our daughter’s wedding so we really didn't spend as much time at the house as we'd liked to have, but the time there was always relaxing. It was very nice to take a dip in the pool after a long day of wedding activities. We appreciated the items made available to us during our stay including an ice chest, sand toys and beach chairs to name a few. Next time we're in the area, we'd love to stay at the Honu O Kai again.

This was the perfecgt space for our famiy for a week. Seven adults, lots of provacy and places to either be together or if someone needed privacy, there were many options. 4 large bedrooms, 3 baths. Master suite is lovely with wonderful views. The pool was great to return to each afternoon after the beach or site seeing. I think I counted 13 ceiing fans to help keep the air moving!
Large living room and dining area. Kitchen allowed multiple "cooks" to all be working at the same time.
Lots of pool and beach toys in the garage and a large washer and dryer.

Enjoyed our 2 week stay. Having the pool was a real plus but I think by 2 wks it needed cleaning. Floors got really dirty the 1st night. Only 1 pickup of garbage didnt seem like enough.
Glad we had the chance to visit Kona

super nice house, great view! unfortunately during our stay, there was construction in the neighborhood so only got some peaceful non construction noise in evenings and on the weekend days. The house is in a very good location, very convenient to most things. Lots of stuff in garage (tubes, rafts, fins, coolers, etc). A few more pillows in master bedroom with pillowcases would be nice. We found a couple extra pillows but no linens for them and there is a window a/c unit in 2 of the bedrooms but the other bedrooms didn't have and it would get pretty warm during the day, and main living area/kitchen would get very hot as well. House def needs more fans and that would've helped a lot. The pool was awesome and loved having the bar area w/fridge off the pool area for drinks etc.

We truly loved the house! Gorgeous view, away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything. Anything you need is at the property. Regular coffee pot, hair dryers, pool toys, beach towels and toys. We would definitely recommend it again and again! We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of space for everyone, including air mattresses if needed.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The sunsets were breathtaking every day. The home was equipped with everything we needed from plenty of beach towels to kitchen supplies. The gifted Kona coffee ensured we all left with a new love of the coffee from this area. The home was clean and spacious. There were 8 of us and we never felt like we needed any more room. We had an issue with the fire alarms and the property manager was over right away to help fix the issue. The pool was a welcomed treat every night. Can't wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house in Holualoa. The view from the decks were stunning. Every night we gathered to watch the sun set and every morning we enjoyed the quietness of watching the ocean become alive with boats and people. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave.

We had such a wonderful time staying at this property. The view was beautiful and the house was big and accommodated our needs. The swimming pool was a used all the time. We had a great time. If you are a coffee drinker make sure you bring your own coffee, other than that everything was stocked and available. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!! We will definitely stay here again!

Overall the property is lovely! Our teens enjoyed the private pool and spacious home. We were disappointed that the AC was confined to one wall unit in the master bedroom and the property does not have cable tv, only internet. The property should not advertise suitability for elderly.

Reviewer Comments:
Great property for families or large groups needing 4 bedrooms. Good location on a bench above Kailua so temperatures were 8-10 degrees cooler than coastline, and not as humid.Views were great and the pool was a real plus with our kids. Lanai BBQ worked fine and assorted pool/beach toys available in garage.

Great family/ large group house
Nice property in an upscale residential neighborhood. Great Location. Being up on the bench above Kailua, the temperatures were 8-10 degrees cooler and had an evening breeze. Awesome sunsets! We had 6 adults and 3 kids (8,4,2). Plenty of room to spread out. The pool was great for the kids and recommended for a Kona vacation. We hit the beaches/snorkeled in the AM, then returned for naps and PM pool time.
The pictures are slightly dated in that the carpets have been replaced with wood floors, which is a plus.
Property Management was OK (B+), but it is not the owner. We could not talk to anyone, who had firsthand knowledge about the property. For example, were there Beach Towels available? No good answer. The fact is there are Pool Towels available, but we were not comfortable taking them to the beach. We suggest you BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS. Also you run out of supplied toilet paper, dishwasher and laundry soap after about 4-5 days. A minor annoyance, but for $500/night, couldn't a little more TP be provided?
FYI - there is a Costco in north Kailua and gas is about $1/gal. cheaper than in town.
Garage beach toy inventory - 3 boogie boards; 4 sets of well worn masks, snorkel, fins. A much needed beach shade tent in the blue bag. 2 functional, but past their prime, beach chairs. There were also some fun pool toys/floatees available.
We would stay in this property again. Aloha

Beautiful, spacious and a view that can’t be beat.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. There was plenty of space for two families. Pool is such a nice added bonus to the location and view. A couple of small appliance issues were addressed immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great place!
Awesome ocean views from the upper deck! Refreshing pool, and plenty of room for a large group. Private yet close to Kona. Highly recommend.

Unparalleled views and stellar home.
This is not our first time to this property - we are devout returners. The place is immaculate and massive with all the amenities we could possibly want. Every morning and evening was spent on the lanai, either drinking coffee and reading a book, or sipping wine and entertaining. The pool is larger than anywhere we have rented in the past and the garage houses pool toys as well as chairs, snorkel gear and more for our trips to the local beaches. This property feels so secluded, yet we are minutes from downtown Kona. Enjoy - and bring friends. It's a special place for us.

Older home with beautiful ocean views.Clean and bright with nice ocean breeze. Short on necessities (paper towels, bar soap, toilet paper,etc.). Used doorstops to hold some doors open. Had a BBQ grease fire from it not being cleaned. So big, neighbors reported it. fortunately no damage done. I felt it was overpriced considering these short comings and no offer to reduce the price either.

Great family house
Management company was friendly and responsive. House amenities and condition was great. Good location close to town, shops, restaurants, groceries.
