About this house rental
This lovely home sits on over half acre lot surrounded by palm trees, lush green lawns and tropical flowers with gorgeous views of the ocean. Resort style backyard with private pool with waterfall and a hot tub creates a relaxing oasis to enjoy at any time of the day or the evening and will make you want to stay forever. The pool temperature is maintained at a comfortable 80 degrees for year around enjoyment.
Fall asleep to the sound of palm trees rustling and wake up to the birds chirping right outside your window. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances, gadgets, cookware and much more, whether you choose to simply enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Kona coffee before starting your adventures or prepare a full meal. There is also a grill and lots of outdoor furniture if you choose to cook and eat while enjoying the beautiful backyard.
Many windows in the house bring in cool Hawaiian breeze, and there is air-conditioning for warmer days or humid nights.
Three bedrooms: king in the primary room, queens in the two guest rooms and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Bring the youngest ones with you. We have two Pack 'n Plays and a stroller. Well stocked with luxury linens and ample towels along with fun stuff like beach chairs, pool toys, ice-chests and coolers. The park across the street is great if you choose to play ball or Frisbee.
Free WIFI with high speed internet along with a 65 inch TV in the living room is perfect for watching a movie or your favorite series at the end of the day, streamed over high-speed Internet from Amazon, Hulu and/or Netflix. A good selection fo board games and books are also available for some quality down time. Telephone service provides free calls throughout the US and Canada.
NOTE: VRBO bookings include stays for registered guests living at the house ONLY. No external visitors allowed at any time in general. If your situation is unique please inquire. If you have local acquaintances or other parties staying elsewhere you’re traveling with that you want to invite over, this home isn’t for you due to hosting permit capacity limits. Unbeatable location tucked away in a private gated community in the hills of Kona with a five minute walk down a private path to Ali'i Drive which makes for a easy walk or bike ride to Magic Sands Beach Park and Kailua Village within a 2 mile radius. Kailua village offers many shopping, dining and waterfront entertainment options. Safeway, Walmart, Target, Starbucks and many more amenities are within a 4 mile radius, Costco is approximately 8 miles away and Kona airport is around 11 miles.

The property has everything that a large family needs to enjoy a Kona vacation. Well equipped kitchen, lots of beach supplies, and a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy and relax.
The only item that would make the stay even better would be more stable beds in the smaller bedrooms. Two adults sleeping on those beds is a bit wobbly.

We could not ask for anything more with our accommodations at the Kona House of Palms. The experience from booking to check out was smooth. All possible needs of a vacationing family, the owners have thought about and made available in the home. The house has plenty of useful stuff from board games, pool toys, rice cooker, and hair straightener… the house has it all. Our hosts have been very prompt and responsive which is a true testament to amazing service. The stove broke on our first night but the hosts made sure this was replaced the next day! The home is a great setting to relax and sit back to enjoy the pool and home cooked meals with family. We will always treasure the happy memories we made at this amazing place.

This property was just as advertised. It was really great. Super super clean!!!!! The patio/pool/hot tub were amazing. Really beautiful and super useful backyard. The lighting setup and fountain were very cool and fun! Fantastic location. Gated community added to feeling of friendliness/exclusivity. Lots of people out walking in neighborhood — everyone waved hello as we drove by. Communication with Sean was exceptional. I would rate this property /experience 100/100.

Everything about this house was fabulous. The home was spotlessly clean, the furnishings are new, the beds were comfortable (my in-laws even took note of the brand), and the kitchen was well stocked (including a basket of snacks on arrival). We had plenty of space for five adults. The outdoor space is gorgeous and was a family favorite. The pool was warm, clean, and even has a waterfall. I wish we could have stayed longer.

House was super stocked with chairs, beach mats, boogie board and towels. The pool was fun and we swam in it everyday.
There was even a basket on the counter for us filled with snacks!
The only negative is before we got in the front door, my wife and children were bit multiple times by mosquitos. Luckily, the property had big spray and candles and the bugs were only bad in the morning and sunset. Otherwise, the bugs were tolerable.

The photos on line were great and enticing: but to experience the beautiful park-like setting; mesmerizing blue-water views; refreshing pool; and making family dinners in the beautiful kitchen- waking up to the birds singing to do it all over again was amazing. Our stay at House of Palms was wonderful. The house is beautiful, and well equipped. Everything we needed was provided. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and the beautiful view. We had fun playing with the badminton racquets and although we didn't use any beach gear, there was a lot of it! I would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Kona.

I can't say enough great things about our stay at the Kona House of Palms.
First of all the home is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and decorated with such care and wonderful style. It might sound odd, but the color schemes were particularly lovely and relaxing.
Second, the grounds...what can you say about that pool and the gorgeous gardens. They were absolutely spectacular.
The location is terrific, very convenient and even walkable to the beach and other sights if you so desire. It's a very nice, gated community with the best neighbors, too! Bob across the street was so welcoming and kind, even giving us a coupon he had for a restaurant we were visiting to celebrate a birthday. Couldn't ask for better neighbors.
But the absolute best part of the whole experience was dealing with Sean and Anjali. They were terrific throughout at communication, but they really went above and beyond for us the day we arrived. We had been coming from another vrbo on the Hilo side and had a long lag time between checking out there and checking in at this property. On the day of our stay, I asked if we might be able to store our things somewhere at the property before official check-in, since I didn't like having all our belongings in the car as we killed time. They were so gracious about this request! They not only said it was no problem, but we were able to leave our items in the garage while cleaning was occurring, and then they moved everything into the house for us before we returned for check-in. We had an opportunity to meet them, and they were so lovely and welcoming. These are A++++ host and hostess. Thank you!

Property was well-maintained and very clean. Enjoyed our stay but would have enjoyed it more if the pool was a little warmer. Communication with the owner was excellent and he mentioned that they are heating the pool with solar heat. . The gardens at the home were beautiful. We will be coming back.

Once again we had a wonderful vacation at Kona House of Palms! The owners have made some very nice updates to the house that make it even better than our last stay at this property. We love this property so much we don't even use our timeshare on the Big Island anymore, we stay here. Sean and Anjeli are so incredible to deal with and anything you need they are there to make your stay the best they can. This was a beautiful home in a great location. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids and adults! It’s located in a very nice, relaxing, quiet, safe, gated neighborhood. Sean was available and answered question on getting down to the beach from the house and any other questions we had. It is located minutes away from food and shopping. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful accommodations!
This home was beautiful and satisfied our needs. We had two families stay with us at different times and One family had older kids and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The other family had two small children and one older and they loved it almost as much as the other kids. We ate most of our meals at the house and was able to utilize dishes, pots and pans. Appliances used everyday.
We will definitely plan to stay here on our next visit if available,
Owners were accessible by phone and very friendly.
We drove to many beaches and into town all within a reasonable amount of time.
