Jonathan the owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Near the airport.

Onze kamer op het water was geweldig. Super vriendelijk personeel!

I loved it here. Perfect to arrive. Super nice bamboo house, nice pets, great staff, got invited to eat everyday, nice beach with Sandbank where you can walk out, chilled and comfortable, clean, hammocks to chill everywhere, sleeping to the sound of the ocean and the motion of the waves, nice art, street with shops and canteens very close. You can book tours there. Owner is very helpful. Cheap transport to the airport.

Nada.
No desayuno.

I read the reviews and knew i had to stay here. Not to mention it was among the most cost friendly.
Jonathan was very kind and helpful.
The staff were amazing. hardworking. Chill but professional. Theyre actually part of the bamboo nest experience.
I was intrigued by the creativity of the bamboo nest. Its such a unique idea.
Hammocks by the water are the best.
Moving to el nido, i wished i had just stayed here instead.
The tent can get a little stuffy.
But each tent has a fan and most nights theres a good breeze.
But the tent in the nest is part of the experience.

Pros -
1. Jonathan and his staffs are very helpful and also very hospitable.
Everything is great here.
I will stay here again if I come back to palawan
There is nothing I didn't like

Tunsimme olomme heti tervetulleeksi.

Everything but the late noise parties are definitely it’s downfall. Unless you party yourself! Ear plugs are highly recommended!
Ask for James the chef for your morning breakfast!

Nahe auf dem grossen Blau. Licht. Farben, Gezeiten. Fischer und Boote regen langsam am morgen. Sonne aus dem Meer. Kunstvolle Bambuskonstruktionen. Küche und Kühlschrank nach Bedarf. Gegrillter Fisch in Bananenblatt vom nahen Händler geliefert.
Grosse Foodmarktstrasse 5 min zu Fuss. Freundliche hilfreiche Mannschaft.
Man muss weit rauswaten um zu schwimmen.

Amazing to stay in a place like this. The beds were good and comfortable and this place had the nicest and friendliest staff!

The quietness at the beach and at the entire place. You can forget the town there. The construction also is really nice. And the staff is perfect. Also it is nice, you just can prepare your own coffee there.

Beautiful property, amazing location of it being by the water 😍
Most amazing hosts/workers at the property.

The beach was nice and the tents were clean. The host was also helpful with the basics. I didn't have high expectations and the tent is only 12 USD per night, so it's a cheap stay but honestly unless you are in it specifically for this beach or just a quick night's sleep, I would refrain. There is a lot more bang for your buck at other hotels. 12usd seemed a bit high after the experience. You're not going to find any hustle at this place so bear in mind!
I was disappointed to find no breakfast or food (besides some Pringles and Doritos for sale) offered and nothing specifically tasty in walking distance or open for breakfast hours. When I enquired about booking a tour or doing something fun the next day, the man on staff told me to wait until he finished his movie. I never heard back about booking for the next day or anytime.

Really liked the artsy bamboo vibe and cool crew
Close to the airport… occasional flights nearby

Amazing place with so many cute details.

Really liked the floating tents, overlooking the sea, fabulous location. Wasn’t expecting a big bamboo room with 8 tents in it tho, although not a problem. Staff lovely, and helpful. Loved the layout of the main guest area. Really authentic. I think the owner is making some improvements. It’s a lovely place to stay for 2or 3 nights. Near the airport, but you don’t really hear the planes except more so on taking off. So ‘real’ that in the morning, at high tide, you have to Wade through the sea water to land, but it’s only comes to just below knee. WI-FI ok. Down a fairly dark uneven track, but I didn’t feel unsafe. Locals are lovely.
A bit thicker tent mattress would be good.
Mostly cold showers if working, otherwise then pour cold water over body from bucket.
Kitchen could do with improvement, I wouldn’t cook/eat there

Really great location. Very friendly and welcoming staff. You instantly feel at home.

I had an amazing time! This accomodation is for people who want a fun, unique, once in a lifetime experience. There is truly nothing else like it - if you want luxury amenities and a sleep in then this isn't the place for you. You can upgrade your booking to the floating house when you get there if it's available - which is what I did and it was magical! A huge space with hammocks, a bar and three beds plus your own toilet, it was truly magical with the most amazing sunrise! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the jam session at nighttime so much fun! I HIGHLY recommend the whale shark experience you can book through Jonathan, it's one of the only ethical ones in the Philippines and one of the best experiences of my life. There's lots of cats and dogs which I loved!
Most of the locals are the nicest most friendly people ever and I loved seeing and chatting to them, but I did have to ask one who kept following me around to stop (not a staff member) - he did stop. There's not a huge amount of food options around, and at night you need a tuktuk to get to any for safety but they are easy to find

I already wrote and submitted a long review of our amazing hosts at Bamboo Nest - why is Bookings.com requesting another?

The location was a wonderful surprise at the end of the road to Hartman beach. A well-groomed beach among the creatively made and enchanting bamboo lodgings greeted us. Staff had ensured our pickup from the airport was smooth even though we weren't quite in the right place. A cozy bamboo courtyard with artwork, sitting spots, hammocks, a bar, tourist information, handy kitchen and ample showers and toilets greeted us. Looking out to sea, the calming waves and clear water invited us to explore. Yes, at some times of day the water is cloudy as the tide comes in an out. That added to the adventure and anticipation of when it'd be clear again. Sunsets and sunrises were bar-none! All of the staff at Bamboo Nest, including Jonathan and Tina the owners, were incredibly personable, courteous, fun, and helped us in all sorts of ways to make it the best stay. The smoothness and help with tours and so on made it easy. Being invited to eat meals together, and jam, spending evenings singing and drumming with our hosts was fabulous. The intrigue, romance, functionality and friendliness of Bamboo Nest exceeded our expectations.
Sometimes, due to local circumstances, the water supply was a bit unreliable. But, staff ensured we had what we needed, and kept us supplied. It might be something to improve, but the ocean is right there and drinking water is readily available too!

The people were exceptionally inviting and friendly. You feel at home immediately. Jonathan is a superb organizer and quickly available.
There are better beaches in Palawan, but for a stop in Puerto Princesa it’s a very nice spot.

Jonathan was really kind and help us with the transfer to the bus station in San José. The place was nice all with bamboo and the cottage was charming and comfortable.

it was wonderful in every way! Rustic, amazing fresh air off the Ocean!
Amazing animals! Dogs, Cats, Puppies and Sweet Kittens!

basic but fabulous. Staff are incredible can’t do enough for you. easy to organise anything you need.

love the vibe being up in a little tree house
the communal bathrooms were in the middle of the small property so not too much privacy there
4.5
good location - right by the beach. staff and owners were very polite and welcoming and helpful with questions. beautiful built bamboo and art by one of the local boys. had a few puppy’s which is cool!
the 3 nights we were there, there was drinking and music playing going on right under our room until all hours of the night which made it hard to sleep, also dogs barking early in the morning. I understand you can’t control dogs barking but if you want a good nights sleep I probably wouldn’t recommend this place.
4.5
The idea Jonathan and his crew have is amazing, such a cozy place for low money, friendly stuff and perfect location to meet interesting people. They're also helping you with all kind of concerns.
4.5
beautiful place, really friendly staff who were willing to help (eg booked us on to tours and organised a pick up from the airport)
slightly isolated location has its pros and cons - on the one hand was lovely and peaceful with very few other people. though on the other made it tricky to get a bite to eat etc. having said that, a tuk tuk to Puerta bay walk was quite cheap at 300PP (~£4.50)
4.5
An amazing experience to sleep in a floating house. The owner and people were super friendly and invited us over for drinks at Saturday night.

the beach. the people. the area. 10/10
to be honest we loved the property and location. The tent was new for us, not sure if we’d do it again but if we had to, it would be here

Laid back and comfortable
Was there twice, first time staff were friendly and avaliable, 3 weeks later the staff were busy in there own little area under the stairs and if you wanted service it seemed a task.
Ok when the boss is there
