This first floor apartment enjoys a central position in Grasmere, with a pub just 100 yards away and the town of Ambleside a short drive.. All on the First Floor:

This immaculate, first floor apartment is situated in an iconic building in the heart of Grasmere and has been fully renovated in 2019 to a very good standard throughout. Large picture windows in all rooms give stunning views of the village and surrounding fells, and along with the open-plan nature of the reception rooms and kitchen give a wonderfully bright and airy feel to the whole apartment. The spacious living room, with large, comfortable settees, flame-effect gas fire and 65" wall-mounted Smart TV, looks out over the village green towards Silver How and Helm Crag, while the modern fitted kitchen offers guests a very good level of equipment and convenience. Grasmere is the ideal location for any visitor to the Lake District; walkers will find a range of outstanding walks in every direction, from gentle river and lakeside strolls, through pleasant woodland and valley outings, up to full high mountain expeditions. What’s more, the local bus service stops outside the apartment, allowing an even wider range of walks to and from the door to be undertaken without the use of a car. Less energetic guests, or those in need of a rest day, will enjoy wandering the beautiful village of Grasmere itself, with its wide variety of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.
The ground floor of the building houses Sam Read’s famous bookstore and a coffee shop, while alongside the village green are a further selection of cafés and shops. In the other direction are a newsagent and a convenience store, open from early till late and extremely useful for groceries and other essentials.
