I thought the breakfast was very good. I especially liked that there was a large table to eat at, and you could converse with the other guests. Really good idea!
The individual private room was like an oven in the afternoon, but I can't think of what anyone could do about that. It's just the layout.

That was my second time in Massiosare Hostel, and it was perfect again! Love the facilities and the rooftop! Huge kitchen very handy to cook, lovely rooftop with amazing views, and lots of place to hang out and chilling. Great location.
It's on top of a building without lift so worth mentioning that you will be climbing a lot of steps, if you have a lot of luggages!

Location is ideal if you intend to see the historic center.
Area is not ideal if you are looking for a clean lodging facility. The online photos are quite deceiving. Sheets are super worn out, room has a smell and is not well-ventilated and well-lighted. Despite staying in a separate private room, this is not a place if you are looking for peaceful sleeps, and remote-working. In-room wifi is not available.

Old building, big windows with a great view and lots of light!
Free coffee, juice, and although average (beans and rice) breakfast. Met some Lovley people, very relaxed atmosphere.
Staff accommodated me with organising a fan for the room as not every room has one. super convenient vegan food chain down stairs. Overall for the price you pay it’s good !
Most of the staff seemed disinterested in guests but were polite!
Cleanliness was average although I think it is cleaned quite regularly.
The 4 bed room women’s dorm was very hot and stuffy. I wouldn’t recommend. It didn’t have a fan Untill I asked for one multiple times.
It would be great to have some towel hooks or something in the room! The area is very central with great public transport but the streets are very much industrial and lighting shop.

The building is really interesting and the hostel has a cosy and chilled feel. The roof terrace is lovely and it was really nice to have breakfast up there. Location is also spot on and there is a good vegan restaurant in the same building. I also adored the little cats they have there. Would recommend to visitors to CDMX.
The showers were almost always cold and most of the staff seemed wholy disinterested in the guests, aside from one guy who was on the terrace one evening making drinks. The stairs were a lot but honestly it's fairly clear from the description that there's no functioning lift.

Friendly staff. Arrived quite early in the morning and could do the late check-in.
Yummy breakfast included and close to the city centre.
The stairs can be slippery if you're in a rush 😅

kind reception
This hostel is on high height 4th floor, and no elevator. and no sign is in the entrance. So it is hard to find the hostel. The lack pressure shower. Hot water comes out unstable.

Location is good
Shower ceiling is covered in mold. Staff seem to want to socialize with each other, rather than helping guests.

Really friendly people. The provided breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a great way to meet up with other travellers.
The stairs 😂. The breakfast was pretty simple but you can't expect much from a hostel. Only being able to have one cup of coffee was cruel. I had the single room and the window was missing a fly screen. There was an issue where the hot water kept running out.

There were no social events, yet the views from the roof terrace meant everyone who wanted to socialise could gather there and watch the view, creating a great and social atmosphere. Furthermore, the people at reception desk and preparing breakfast were always very friendly and very helpful, and I enjoyed the presence of the cat.

location and the view from the terrace
the acoustics are not the best. you can hear in the bedroom the notices from the bathroom and the kitchen

Cool Rooftop, cool
People. Lots off stairs to get to the hostel but that’s a good workout!

The accomodation was equal the price, there was nice terrace on the roof and the personnel was great
The shower was only providing cold watter
The hostal could be better marked in the street. We arrived at night and had the problem to find the place since there was no sigh with the hostak name.
3.5
Good location, walking distance to the center. Different kitchen for vegetarians.
I wouldn’t mind the stairs (it’s heslthy to climb to the fourth floor :D ) but absolutely anyone from the street can walk in and no one would notice. I don’t consider the hostel safe.
Not the hostel’s issue but I found 5 different USED socks in my stuff (on my backpack, on my shelf..) that were not mine :D
4.5
Nice friendly place with rooftop terras. Goodbreakfast. I recommended this place.

Good place to stay, friendly and good location
For the private room a bit small and noisy

We had an excellent stay here. The terrace area is just fantastic and is a great place to meet and make new friends. The terrace is open to everyone in the hostel all day and there’s always people up there to talk to. Breakfast was very tasty every day, but maybe a little small. The beds were comfy and clean and the staff were always available and helpful.
Just one thing, the STAIRS! The hostel is on the 4th floor of a building with no working elevator. The hostel is great so the climb is worth it, but a little tough. We, affectionately, nicknamed the hostel MassioSTAIR for this reason.

The room is nice. It has big windows and two full beds quite comfortable. The living room is nice too and the hostel has several spots to share with other guests.
Well, I am not really a person who grows negativity on a business so I'll try to write just with facts:
The Hostel is on the 4th floor of an old building with a lot of stairs for each floor, and also, our room was one more floor up and the description does not say that, and there is no elevator.
The front desk workers have no clue of how to solve the needs of consumers. they are polite but they do not have any quality procedure or protocols to follow in case of an issue, not to say an emergency.
Our room had a chlorine smell so strong that my girlfriend and my own eyes were burning and my girlfriend couldn't breathe due to that issue that the front desk was not able to solve in any way. It took me one hour to figure out they used swimming pool chlorine pills in the toilet to maintain it clean, however, those pills are not for toilets, therefore they were poisoning the environment.
And yes, there are mosquitoes, and the solution is that if you notice there are, you need to go to the front desk to ask for repellent. I mean, the idea is to prevent, not to cure. Repellent is for outdoors and mosquito nets for when you are indoors.
So our night was a mare, and we went to Mexico city for my girlfriend's birthday which became a mess since we could not sleep well at all.
