Very beautiful Trendy boutique hotel Art everywhere. Its own gift shop and barber The staff is super kind and helpful

There was no hot water for my entire stay and when I asked why they said I needed to leave the water running for 15 mins. Which is pretty wasteful in the dry season. The breakfast is tasty but there are no options beyond three and you can’t mix them up (although they did just for me which was very kind, and I paid the difference… even though breakfast is meant to be free). The carpet in the hallways makes it hard to navigate the hotel with two suitcases, especially with a mobility handicap.

We loved everything, especially our suite. We enjoyed the Marimba club, loved the live band. The staff was amazing👌🏾

Everything inside the hotel. I’m a big fan of Laduma (Maxhosa), Nkosinathi (Blackcoffee) & Nelson🎨. Choosing this hotel was influenced by them, especially the Maxhosa suite.

The location. The noise at night made it difficult to fall asleep.

Nice people but wouldn't stay again.

staff are very friendly and helpful.

Location is terrible for being able to walk around. Not safe. Room carpet is very stained, shower has only a dribble of hot water after running it for 15 minutes, as advised by staff.

Hip hotel in Jo’burg met vriendelijk personeel.

Het vriendelijke personeel, de ruime badkamer, het lekkere bed.

DA EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE!

Assolutamente niente

Praticamente un hotel da dimenticare!! Per cominciare non dico essere gentili ma almeno sorridere al check in sarebbe il minimo. Puzza di piedi appena entrati segno che la stanza era stata da poco lasciata e mal pulita. Stanza buia, lampadina rotta in bagno, nessuna bottiglia d acqua né ciabatte come indicato nella lista dei servizi ...ma la cosa più assurda la colazione compresa: una presa in giro totale. Bisogna scegliere UN solo piatto tra pane tostato, uova e bacon e frutta...cioè se mangi la frutta non hai diritto a nient altro...non scherzo..allego foto ...Jazz club aperto solo venerdì sabato (naturalmente non indicato nella descrizione) e palestra swmore chiusa ...insomma DA EVITARE ASSOLUTAMENTE

The staff was amazing, really kind and helpfull. The hotel has a nice decoration and good ambience. Everybody with a smile. The bedroom is ok with big size and the bed is confortable.

The location was not good, It is a dangerous area. That is not a problem of the hotel but you have to move by car anywhere (Although the hotel staff is always checking for the safety). The breakfast is always the same. The hot water did not work well.

Iconic and easy.

I loved the clean bedding and exceptional customer service. From the entrance gate you are welcome with sunny faces. Which makes it a pleasure to be there.

The restaurant had awful service, to an extent where our breakfast was not only almost 2hrs late, my food order was also late. Sadly, with much frustration I ended up not eating the food. Truly, don’t come with high hopes when you order food, though according to the manager/supervisor they only booked a SINGLE chef knowing very well they had hosted an event the night before. Food was so disappointing!

A good place If you want to stay in Johannesburg downtown.

The restaurant in the hotel is very nice, the rooms are very clean and modern. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The wifi connection is very weak inside of the hotel rooms, it was only working perfectly in the lobby. The rooftop bar is closed from monday - wednesday.

Zwei Nächte in Johannesburg

Das Hotel hat ein Restaurant, so dass man zum Abendessen nicht noch einmal los muss. Frühstück war gut. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Zimmer war groß, ebenso das Bad. Von der Dachterrasse hatte man einen wunderschönen Blick über Johannesburg. Jazzkeller sah auch gut aus. Man musste Eintritt bezahlen und hätte reservieren müssen, ansonsten konnte man an der Bar gesessen. Das Personal war überall sehrvfreundlich.

Der textile Fussbodenbelag ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wände in den Fluren sind dunkel gestrichen und wirken dadurch enger. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer lässt das Gefühl aufkommen, als würde man eine Sonnenbrille tragen.

Jhb hotel with Jazz club

The interior design of the hotel is artistic and creative. The location is in a really dodgy part of Jhb city, but at least they have secure basement parking. The Marabi Jazz Club is also a great experience if they are adequately staffed.

The premium room we stayed in was okay. However, each time we opened hot water, only droplets of water came out. Water pressure is only good for cold water, so we had a cold shower. The Marabi Jazz Club Thursday Date Night was the reason we came to stay over at the hotel, but unfortunately, they were short staffed, and this negatively impacted on their service. Each meal course took forever to come out. The main course took over 1 hour to be served and the dessert took 40 minutes. It was really unpleasant. It's a pity because we were really looking forward to it...

nice restaurant but room comfort limited

The hotel has both a roof top bar and a restaurant with live jazz music. The room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free water and kettle with various teas and coffee. wifi was good throughout the building.

The music in the roof top bar was deafening - a small space but with massive speakers. I did not have hot water in the shower and six times during the night the TV came on - by the 6th time I unplugged the TV. This may be related to load shedding but it was very annoying. Also my room was very cold and the airco was set to 30 but it did not really warm up the place and the little convector heater did not either. The restaurant was nice but its veggie options were limited. I did not like that breakfast was a choice of 4 set menus: I prefer to select my own food and again there was only 1 veggie option : a bowl of fruit and yoghurt. I know the hotel was designed by a famous person but it was too industrial and dark for my liking. It was for instance hard to find the door to the elevators as the whole wall was black.

Cool interior

The lifts and floors are a bit confusing. Breakfast the next day took way too long and I ended up leaving before being served. Breakfast staff seemed very disorganised.
