Away for a day

Quiet stay.

The Melville Turret is a classic turn of the century (1906) home that has been converted into a guest house. The sitting room, reception and dining room capture the elegant design of the period. I had a ground floor room. It was quiet, clean and simple. The room had hot water, wifi, cable and a small fridge. Breakfast was very good with a choice of a hot entre along with cold cereals, juice, coffee, tea and fruit. Presca is a delightful host and Coos the owner a wonderful conversationalist. It's a 5-15 min walk to nearby restaurants and shops depending on which way you go. Local tours can be arranged. Safe, clean, good value.

Once of the best location in Melville

Very good welcome despites our late arrival. Thanks Patricia. Welcome and breakfast very well appreciated, thanks to Priscia, very nice person. The loft is awesome. The staff, the location, the terrass, the decoration indoor and outdoor, the breakfast. The arrangements to make a pleasant stay. Very clean.

The appartment in the courtyard was too humid. Not a good feeling. However well equipped.

Friendly, safe in an ideal location for shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.

Prisca is a wonderful host. Turret guest house was a relaxing oasis. Prisca helped to arrange a guided day tour of Jo’burg including Soweto which was excellent. Situated 5 minutes away from shops, cafes, bars and restaurants the location was perfect and it felt safe to walk in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Can definitely recommend this guest house.

We were attended to very well from Priesca Martin&Paul

That stood out was Priesca..Suppurb person,well mannerd and Loved as a Person.She stood out in every department what you expected of her..Also your Layout in the Mainhouse was well put together..I will give Priesca a Bonus as a Gods given chiled, as she loves and knows her Bible and don't forget Opera and Classics.Likes listening to it.

To take care of Time and BE on Time when geusts arrive as far as we did from Sutherland Northern Cape and adhere to it..Sorry does not cut ot at all after 2 days travelling..Day staff need to know this! not going shopping

it was absolutely stunning.

I loved the setting of the entire place. The room was cozy, the property was warm and welcoming. Priska was warm and friendly. Breakfast was great.

Simplicity at its best

Had been working two and a half months non-stop.... so needed a place to finaly just relax and take a break.... The requested room was perfect for the purpose served.... Met some of the nicest people from all around south-africa. Had to shift booking from one date to another, and owner handled it with ease. Cause of conflicting dates etc. Breakfast was well received.... will return always. Thank you always for a perfect stay every time

A place called Home

True as they say, your staff is your best asset, if one is lucky enough to find them. And the owner found it in Prisca. Minor snag sorted within seconds. Stay was brilliant as ever. Loft spotless and everthing was on point. Will be returning soon again. Brilliant and emaculate in every way.

That we had to leave. This is honestly like a second home.

Second stay. Lovely property. Nice neighborhood.

This was our second stay. We like this property. It's located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of food and drink options nearby. Breakfast was delicious. Secure parking available. Quiet neighborhood.

I can't think of anything to put here. The property was quite accommodating. They did appear surprised that we were traveling with our dogs which I thought was odd. Their listing says they are pet friendly.

Guesthouse Perfection

After returning from going out early morning Seminar/Exam, we arrived to a emaculate clean room in the afternoon. Everything was spot-on. Fresh new towels, crisp white linnen on bed. Quietness after gruelling morning. Exactly what was needed to de-stress. Owner yet again surpassed all that was requested. And more. Will be returning next month for sure. Thank you Koos for everything.

Despite us informing them that our flight was delayed, when we arrived at 9:30 pm the gate was locked and no one respond

What is there not to like? Brought Mom with this time. both rooms were comfy, warm and emaculate clean. Had all the needed amenities. Can’t fault anything.

The water flow from the bathroom didn't mix well between hot and cold. Change of shower heads would be nice.

Toilet with no air freshener No SABC CHANNELS only Netflix No gate for car remote,putting risk of being hijacked while waiting for the gate to be opened
