Had a great two nights at the Hotel. Super central and was perfect for my meetings. The breakfast was just fantastic. It's a great place to stay for a few days in Joburg if you there for business.

The staff at this hotel is amazing and went out of their way to accommodate our group. I LOVED the beds, such a great place to land after a looong flight.
The sound of the generator was a bit jarring and our bathroom window didn't close fully so it was a bit loud in the bathroom, but that was literally all.

The bed was very comfortable. That was probably the only thing that I really liked
There was noise from a party going on on Friday night until sometime after 10pm. The swimming pool was very dirty so we couldn't swim. The air conditioning system is not working in the room. You turn it on to the maximum of 30 degrees and it continues blowing cold air until you are forced to switch it off. The bedside lamps were also not working in my room.

Breakfast (and the rest of the meals) were delicious. They offered both a buffet and a freshly-cooked option for those on the run for tours and for those with more time on their hands. We also had lunch there and the menu was both varied and delicious.
It would have been nice to have instructions on the bathroom heater. We didn't figure that out until Day 2 and we visited in the middle of winter.

The hotel is in a great location, with friendly staff & delicious breakfast.
Comfortable king-sized bed, good wifi, and back-ups of electricity and water, which was great.
My room on the ground floor (room 2) was right next to reception and I could hear everything. There are no noise-canceling precautions in place. The guests leaving the restaurant at 23h30 were loud, but I could even hear the printer printing documents, the receptionist (even though she was trying to be quiet); every sound. It made for a terrible night's sleep.

From the moment we arrived the hostess, Peggy, was amazing and made us feel at home. She made sure we were comfortable and gave us an informative briefing of the room and facilities. The room was spacious and very well equipped. We loved the venue and the warmth thereof. Great location and close proximity to Sandton City. Breakfast spread was beautiful and the restaurant area tasteful and cosy. Additional breakfast mains could be ordered from the a la carte menu (included). This took a bit longer than expected, but was delicious. Loved Clico and will be back.

Restaurant and breakfast are excellent. The building and the pool are beautiful.
Rooms may need some maintainance to be perfect.

Had an event on so was noisy though the staff did their best to reduce impact

What a nice little gem to stay in and relax. All amenities right on site so you do not have to leave. The chef was absolutely incredible with his service and menu. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here. All the staff was so nice and accommodating. Our room was huge with a really nice bathroom and terrace overlooking the pool. Everything was very clean. Free parking right outside the front door. We stayed here for one night to rejuvenate before heading out on safari, it was perfect.

Comfortable, friendly boutique hotel close to main facilities.
Staff are regular, friendly & always welcoming.
Room opened onto garden & pool.
There was a function one evening, though didn’t disturb, could hear their noise.

The hotel was lovely and we couldn’t fault it but the big surprise was the restaurant which is fantastic and deservedly 15/900+ in Johannesburg.
Restaurant was shut on the Monday night.

All staff was very friendly and helpful. the location was excellent for the purpose of our visit.
Although our room was clean and neat, the public areas were not as clean. E.g. stairs & grass. (Writing this just as a helpful note to the property owner for them to pay extra attention)

This place just has good energy. By far my favourite place to stay in Johannesburg. Comfortable beds, calm atmosphere, beautiful pool, and the best eggs benedict in the area all included in the price. If you're just arriving from a long haul flight and need a place to recover, the Clico is your go to.
Location is really good, just a few blocks from Rosebank mall which is perfect for the daytime. But even though it's so close, you may not feel totally comfortable walking back at night in the dark. I would walk there while it's light but get an uber or equivalent back when it's dark.
