The host is such an amazing woman. Leigh goes above and beyond to help you in anything you need .
The accommodation is first class and the Breakfast is absolutely delicious. All the staff are amazing and this Lodge deserves to be number one on every body's lists.
Every thing at this lodge was exceptional

Nice location and the garden outside was nice. The bathroom in the room was very well kept and nicely designed. The female staff member was helpful and kind.
The actual room (besides bathrooms) looks different from the pictures on the site (attached images). Breakfast cutlery at the table had dirt granules. Small breakfast portions. Bad parking situation. Male staff member swore at me after a mistake on their side. Disorganized, bad communication. Not even a proper check in or check out or reception.

Overall an excellent stay at Leighwood Lodge. The owners were such lovely people and couldn't do enough for me - it was mainly Vee who helped me during my stay and he was just great. The room was huge and so comfortable - I couldn't fault it. The breakfast was also fantastic. The swimming pool looked very clean and inviting but my stay was short so I didn't get to enjoy it sadly - I'll just have to come back! I also got laundry done while staying and this was very much appreciated!
Nothing - everything was perfect.

Leighwood Lodge - a wonderful slice of paradise! The location is central and conveniently located close to most major areas in JHB. The lodge rooms are extremely comfortable and perfectly appointed and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious and always served with a smile. The grounds are beautiful, secure and peaceful and sitting under the enormous oak tree overlooking the sparkling pool, makes for a wonderful spot to sit and relax with a delicious coffee or cup of tea (without hearing the big city hustle and bustle just beyond the fence). A definite must stay if you are ever in Johannesburg - we most certainly will be back!

Safe beautiful garden. Rooms neat
There was a mix up or some confusion about the the booking. But the owner was so kind and pleasant. Bathroom can be a bit cleaner.

very clean and comfortable accommodation. great hosts!

A peaceful oasis in endlessly busy Johannesburg. A spirit of true hospitality. Pool, garden, verandahs and patios create together an ambience where you can relax. Good air conditioning and ability to cope with SA’s power cuts AKA ‘load shedding’.
it’s a minor point but my initial arrival and then later my departure through the garage felt odd.

It is a good hotel with spacious rooms. It is placed in a safe area with good guards. Plenty of restaurants and a big Rosebank city mall are close to the hotel. In the hotel, I had really delicious dinner which included a big national South African dish.

The garden and breakfast seating area is beautiful and relaxing. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Fruit salad for breakfast was yum.
The carpets in the bedroom are dated. Although clean, the cutlery is old. The lodge is pet friendly but for dogs that hear a lot of sounds and then bark it is difficult. Maybe book pets in upper rooms or rooms that don't face the gardens.

Our ‘hostess’ Leigh was wonderful. She could not have been more helpful on all fronts - where to shop, where to eat, how to get there, etc. She was very happy to arrange taxis, etc. for us and made us feel very much at home. The Lodge was extremely comfortable with a beautiful garden. The staff were very personable, helpful and friendly. When we next visit Johannesburg we will definitely be returning to Leighwood Lodge.

Our hosts were wonderful with good humor and made us feel at home. Their recommendations for cultural visits, restaurants and getting around town were spot on! The garden was impeccable and such a treat to relax in after a long day. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
