The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was tasty.
The bathroom sink was a very small vanity basin although the bathroom was big enough to have taken a larger basin.

Great location for our work at DIRFT the following day. Lovely building, felt like a local pub, staff very welcoming and the food chosen was great. Thanks

the room was comfortable if a little dated. the food was good
the bathroom was quite dated and the bath set up was weird, with the shower screen at the head end of the bath
could do with some real coffee and not instant.

The food was out off this world
Excellent food

Immaculate room in a beautiful location, we opted for a room with our own bathroom.
Very friendly welcoming staff, especially the lady who checked us in, and personally showed me the room and where all the amenities were.
Delicious breakfast was a bonus.
Highly recommend staying here.

Location very good, breakfast was lovely, rooms a ok size .. asked for ground floor and they were able to give us one. Ideal hot drinks machine as you enter the property..free of charge, kettle in the room with tea & coffee. No hairdryer but if needed they will supply one.
Walk in shower could do with a slightly higher lip as water pooled on the floor where you get out. Not a major problem but think it could get noisy when people enter and leave their rooms as hallway does echo . Couldn't connect to WiFi for some reason ?

excellent choice of cooked breakfast and well prepared. Staff kind and helpful.
room was not particularly inviting, The bed was only double, TV was really small, but above all, access to our room… 12… in the dark was dangerous. there was insufficient lighting to help us find our room and a flight of steep stairs next to our door. The light switch for the landing is at the top of the stairs… wasn’t much help. some signage showing where rooms are would help, as well as a fully lighted corridor.

Convenient and comfortable. We stayed twice. Second time we had a great supper with friends. My wife had a fall and Sarah very kindly gave us a lift back to the boat - thank you!
Breakfast choice not great (unless you wanted cooked breakfast). First time there was no yogurt, second time no gluten-free toast.

Breakfast was excellent with locally produced products - Best Ive had in UK for many a year
Room was cold in the morning - could have done with some heating

good pub with excellent food, and the room was fantastic. the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.
in my room the shower valve was broken, but it’s an easy fix and didn’t detract from the overall quality of the place

Good value accommodation exactly where we wanted to be. Parking available. Friendly welcome
Tired bathroom with weak shower (great sized room though). Chaotic breakfast service, but it was done with a smile. Also excessive volume on the music from the kitchen at breakfast.

Paid £96 for 1 night and couldn’t use the shower. Tried several times to contact the manager but have been ignored.

a little dated and a bit noisy at night, service slow.

Comfortable room. Good sized en suite (but with a surprisingly small shower given the size of the room)
Restaurant very good with a good selection of dishes on the menu.
Very steep stairs up to the rooms. Upstairs corridors smelled of cooking oil (but no smell in the room). No motion sensor light in the corridor leading to the rooms.

The Wheatsheaf was good value . Spotless room with all you need for a comfortable stay . Bed very comfortable, good size shower room . Television and tea and coffee facilities .
The staff were welcoming and the breakfast first rate. What not to like ? 😊
More milk available in the exterior fridge .
