About this villa rental
This cheerfully decorated small resort of oceanfront villas is perfectly located to take advantage of the fresh sea breezes and a magnificent view of the shimmering Caribbean sea. It has a sandy & rocky beach and the snorkeling in front of the villas is fantastic. It's about a 35 minute drive from the airport and George Town but only minutes to a few restaurants (Over the Edge, Rum Point and Kaibo), beach bars, watersport shops (Red Sail Sports at Rum Point), activities (Crystal Caves) and a small grocery store (Chisholm’s).
The living and relaxing here is easy. Head to the private beach and snorkel the colourful reef just offshore or jump in the double kayak and explore the picturesque shoreline. Alternatively, you can walk right out your door to the freshwater pool, located in the center of the complex, and relax in peace with the coconut trees for shade! Since Mahogany Point is a small-scale resort on Grand Cayman’s quiet North Coast, the beach and pool are often pleasantly deserted.
If you are looking for some activity, however, Rum Point—with its beach bar, restaurant, and watersports shop—is just a 10-minute drive away. The Botanical Gardens are a lovely way to spend an afternoon learning about the local flora and fauna! The Crystal Caves are a spectacular new attraction, located right in North Side, and of course the Bioluminescent tour is breath-taking, but is seasonal, so please check to see if it is on before you arrive, as reservations are required!
Inside Mahogany Point, a lovely, welcoming space awaits you and your guests. The villa provides a queen bed in the master, with an ensuite bathroom; the second bedroom upstairs has a king bed as well, with a bathroom for guests use. The third bedroom, located downstairs, has 2 twins and another full bathroom, so there is plenty of space to accommodate up to 6 guests comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances you need to cook your own meals and enjoy your favourite dish. Also, there is a grill on the patio, with charcoal and lighter fluid on site. We recommend picking up some fresh seafood, either at Rum Point, or speak to your Property Manager, and enjoy it on the patio with the sunset breezes, cool night air and a Caribbean cocktail!

This was perfect for us as a home base to enjoy all that the island has to offer. We loved being on the northside away from the congestion. Of course we took a couple day trips to the more touristy areas, but there is so much to do all over the island that we would have been less likely to explore if not where we were. But you don’t need to go anywhere there is plenty to do right at the house, which was great for us when we wanted to relax but the kids still wanted something to do. They could snorkel and kayak right outside the door.
The house is perfectly appointed. You can tell that the owners use it to so they have thought of everything! All the spaces and furniture were very comfortable. We were able to cook some meals on the grill and enjoy the patios.
The host was very communicative and a great resources as well. Cannot go wrong with a stay here.

We had a wonderful family time and celebration of my nephew graduating from high school. The graduate and his brother, age 7, made cherished memories at the house: interacting with the hermit crabs, watching the geckos, swimming in the pool, collecting shells and exploring parts of the island. The property manager was very welcoming and kindly shared coconut and mango with us. The owner, Mark, was helpful in referring a rental car for the family and making practical suggestions about the area. We all left feeling truly refreshed and blessed! ~Angie S.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, look no further. This units has everything you could ever want, nothing was missing just show up ready to play and relax. Within 15 minutes of arriving we were kayaking and snorkeling as all the gear was supplied. Sit on the porch and have a frozen drink while you watch the waves roll in. You are minutes from Rum Point, Starfish Point or Tukka’s on the East End. Chisolm’s grocery is steps away and a quick bite to eat at Over The Edge is also less than a mile down the street. The unit is spacious and clean and did I mention it has everything you could possibly need. Just show up with swim suits and flip flops and you will be good to go. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I'm missing those ocean breezes from the bedroom already! This was a great rental property. We snorkeled every day right outside the back door. We loved the back porch, with shade from the sun. This is the quieter side of the island, which made it really relaxing. We appreciated that the property comes with kayaks and that the pool is also an option. We also loved the botanical gardens, which are nearby. Our favorite restaurant was Tukka, which is about 10 minutes away. Note: There is a small grocery store nearby, but it only has the basics. We stocked up on groceries when we landed, and then got more groceries halfway through the week when we went into George Town to go to Sting Ray City.

Thank you Mark and Cathy. What a wonderful stay in a great house. The location was perfect. The North Side of the island is quieter, but close to some of the best snorkeling on the island. The amenities were wonderful. We loved seeing the sunrises and the different colors on the water. It was great eating outdoors watching the Carribean Sea. We will look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Grand Cayman.

We loved our stay at Mahogany Point. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing with great snorkeling right outside. Mark was an amazing host with lots of helpful suggestions, and patiently helped us when on the first night google led us to the wrong complex and we tried to get into the wrong condo (oops!). Nothing but smooth sailing and tropical breezes after that. We can't wait to return!

What an amazing week we had. Marks house had everything we needed for relaxing and enjoying our time in the warmth. There were five of us, all over 65, who enjoyed the pool, snorkeling in front of the house and listening to the waves. Mark suggested a few of his favorite restaurants and they didn’t disappoint. We went to feed the Sting Rays and the frigates at the Tukka restaurant. We had a minor issue with the smoke alarm that was addressed quickly. The communication between Mark and our group was most helpful. This house and area will not disappoint!

This was a great place to stay! The location is quiet and easy to get to, the view of the beach is beautiful, and the snorkeling opportunities were spectacular!

Mahogany Point 5 was fantastic! It was breathtaking to walk in the door and see the view of the ocean then get to see it every day. Sleeping was a dream for all of us as you can hear the ocean. We all had fun choosing our favorite out of all the beautiful artwork and decor throughout the house. Morning coffee watching the sun rise, and we watched the moonrise in the evenings. Snorkling right off the beach in front of the house was a highlight. We walked to the grocery store for anything we needed! The restaurants nearby were all very good, Tukka was our favorite. We loved being on the Northside it was so peaceful and quiet, and we could drive the 40 minutes to Georgetown for 7 mile beach, but we loved coming "home" to Mahogany Point. The beds were all comfy, and the kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed, and we grilled afew nights as well. The pool was so clean and wonderful to hang out to read out of the wind on the windy days. Hanging out on the patio in the comfortable chairs at night was perfect family time. Mark was an awsome host and answered my many questions before our trip and Chloe the property manager was so nice. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We expected this rental to be incredible and were not disappointed! You can't beat the location with the ocean right in your back yard. The snorkeling is excellent just off the shore. And the pool is a lovely oasis! The house is well stocked with towels, snorkel gear, kayaks, life jackets and kitchen supplies. We weren't sure if there would be enough to do on this side of the island for an entire week, but we kept busy while also allowing plenty of time to just enjoy the beach and the pool. The botanical gardens are incredible and very close by. We enjoyed sunsets at Rum Point and Starfish Beach. We also spent a day visiting Georgetown and Seven Mile Beach, and half a day driving around the east side of the island. We took a snorkel trip from Rum Point to Stingray City. We also really loved the electric boat tour of the bioluminescent bay with Cayman Kayaks. It also leaves from Rum Point so very easy and convenient to this location!

The views from this property were outstanding, especially from the primary bedroom. The host was extremely helpful with providing us insights as first time visitors to the island. A great place to stay for rest, fun and relaxation.

We had an excellent stay here. The rental is every bit as nice as advertised. We found it to be well equipped and it featured great views, a nice beach, and (most importantly for us) peace and quiet.
Dinner at Kaibo was great and the access to Chisholm's Grocery was extremely convenient. We really enjoyed the Botanical Gardens which were just a few minutes' drive away.
As the property description says, the airport is about 35 minutes away, but we found that it was easily accessible as you don't have to deal with the Georgetown or Seven Mile Beach traffic.
All in all, it was just what we hoped for. We'd definitely stay here again.

This is a beach house villa that is beautifully decorated and on the ocean front. Our family enjoyed time together to celebrate Christmas in the Caymans! Mark was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

What a wonderful way to start your day here! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and stepping out to stretch your toes in the sand and ocean breeze to wake you up. My family and I enjoyed being able to have a little slice of heaven for our Thanksgiving vacation. The breeze in the evening was spectacular the first few nights and we all relaxed and enjoyed the evening on the beach. The last few nights it did die down a bit so be prepared with bug spray. Spectacular location if you don’t want to be near the hustle and bustle of the west end. We found great activities that were close to the house as well. The grocery mart is very close, however if you are stocking up the house for the week I would definitely recommend going to Cost U Less. It was an amazing week and look forward to another family vacation!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Mark and Cathy are lovely hosts and very communicative. The house is well stocked with absolutely everything you need. Snorkeling is right outside your doorstep and the pool is shaded and lovely. You will need a rental car to move around and see more sights on the island but this is easy and adds to your adventure. There are restaurants near the home and just a short drive away. The home is just perfect for a relaxing getaway and adventure. You will surely have an amazing stay at Mahogany Point 5!

Great location off the beaten path. Close enough to all the truly good place of GC on the east side, without the hassle of tourism.
House had all that we needed to cook and rest. Only recommendation would be blackout shades on side of house as the flood lights from neighboring house were a bit bright at night.

We enjoyed our stay at this property and the Cayman Islands so much! Mark and Cathy were great with communication prior to and during our stay. It was so nice that Mark messaged during our stay to be sure that all was ok. The property is beautiful. We loved the beach and ocean right outside the door. The snorkeling was fantastic. We loved the quiet neighborhood. Everything about the vacation was fantastic!

Loved the decorations through out the house.

The house is perfect!! It was super clean, decorated so cute and had everything we needed for our stay!! We loved that it was the corner unit. From our very first inquiry to all my questions, Mark always replied super fast. Chloe stopped by to introduce herself and say hi.
A lot of people prefer to stay on Seven Mile Beach due to the amazing water/sand and access to everything. We prefer North Side because it's more secluded and we feel more of a middle ground to get out and explore the whole island.
Thanks for letting us stay - we had a great trip!!

The house exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for an amazing family vacation. The extra touches, like beach towels, games, movies and books, were greatly appreciated. Our host was extremely responsive and helpful. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a wonderful week in the villa. The north side is quiet but has almost everything you need. The Red Blob Sargassum hit the shore three nights and smells terrible, but didn’t bother us otherwise, and that’s Mother Nature! Air conditioning was essential in the days we were there and worked perfectly. You’ll have everything you need for cooking, snorkeling and kayaking. Highly recommend.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our family. Not too uptight, comfortable, all of the comforts of home. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Great recommendations given by Mark and Cathy and other VRBO guests previous.

We have been to over half a dozen stops in the Carribean in rentals, but when this property says it is on the beach, it is on the beach! One of my favorite activities was just sitting out back on the numerous relaxation spots and just watching the waves!
The house is large and spacious. We brought our family of 4 and you could easily fit more. The house has everything you could want and the owner is super gracious with snorkeling, beach and kayak equipment on site.
You are within 10 minutes of restaurants in Rum Point and also right next door to a grocery store for any essentials you may need.
It is a great place and we fell in love with the island when we were there. Highly recommended!!!

The house is great! Wonderful views, good snorkelling right from the shore. Very convenient location, close to Rum Point, a small convenient store nearby. We had an issue in the house on our first day and Chloe, the property manager, was great, very fast to respond and resolve the problem.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again in the future!

Thank you Mark and Cathy! Our family of 5 spent a wondeful week in your beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable beach house. House has everything a family needs including beach towels, beach chairs and even a small cooler which we found very useful as we took it to Seven Mile Beach with us. Dishwasher and washer/dryer work well. The beach that's right outside is gorgeous but might not be suitable for small kids. Kids beaches are 10 mons away - Rum Point and Startfish beaches are both perfect. Excellent restaurants, Kaibo and Tukka are 10 mins away. A small supermarked, fully stocked is 5 minutes away. Rum Point has beach BBQ. Crystal Caves and Botanical Gardens, both a must do, are only 5 mins away.
You do need to rent a car to drive around the island to visit Turtle Center, Dolphin discovery, beautiful SMB and watch the sunset at the Wharf.

We had a fantastic stay! Perfect home for us. 2 couples. Plenty of room.
There was nothing lacking.
In fact when I sent a message to our host that the blended was not functional it was replaced in less than two hours!
This is definitely the quiet side of the island which is exactly what we wanted.

Six of us checked into this delightful property. Exceptionally clean. Right on the water. Snorkeling available right from this property. Quiet part of the island. Great restaurants nearby. Top notch communication with the owner. All of his recommendations were spot on perfect. This place is a gem. Would stay there again in a minute.

This was a rescheduled trip from July due to Covid restrictions for my 3 kids (adults to teens) to celebrate our milestones turning 50, 21, and 18 plus a college and high school graduation with my mom and sister. The villa at Mahogany Point is a piece of paradise with the beach steps away as well as the Coral Garden reef. We enjoyed sitting outside in the different areas to eat, read, relax, and enjoy the starry skies at night. Loved hearing the sound of the waves from the master bedroom upstairs, starry skies, and waking up to beautiful sunrises and enjoying the colorful skies at sunset. There is plenty of snorkel gear you can use even though we brought our own. The book that everyone writes in has great suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We highly recommend the Bioluminescent Snorkel, Stingray City, Starfish Point, and snorkeling with the turtles at Cayman Turtle Center. I bought a waterproof Body Glove case for my iPhone and worth the $20 with the pictures I took of the turtles and the reef just steps away. Mark and his wife have a beautiful place and it was hard to leave when our vacation was over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mahogany Point 5. It will be something we remember for many years.
