We originally had plans to split a house 3 ways in OB but plans fell through so we found this place and paid for the WHOLE house with our portion that we were contributing to the other house. The location of this house is PERFECT! It's SO close to the beach access and I love that it's a relaxed, laid back beach, but if you want to do the touristy beach stuff, it's right down the road (our teenagers really enjoyed the boardwalk). The bunk room was great for our teens and their friends and it was so nice to be able to bring our dog with us (and the house didn't smell like some "pet friendly" homes I've been in! No evidence of pets being there other than the thoughtful extra dog bowls and waste bags outside). Fort Fisher beach was a great visit, right down the road, as well. Thanks itrip for being so accommodating and responsive throughout the week and making sure that everything was just right! We will be booking more vacation homes through you!

We really enjoyed our stay. We are VRBO owners too and can offer a couple friendly notes.
1. Six areas (5 bedrooms + living room) needs 6 televisions. There were 3. We had to bring one from home.
2. Saw a roach the last night in living room under coffee table. We know the beach has more than average bugs, but hopefully not roaches.
3. Your tile in the lowest level is really dirty. The Grout is black. All the grout throughout needs cleaning.
4. Your dryer may need replacing soon as it is making a strange sound.
5. The vacuum cleaner also does not work well and needs replacing.
6. Found a piece of broken glass under bar by window under barstool. Also found one inside the cabinet.
7. You may consider adding more weather-proof outdoor seating. The house holds a lot of people
but the couch only holds 4 and gets wet and stays wet with rain. The plastics Adirondack chair is cracked and needs replacing.
8. A couple pillows only had pillow protector covers and not pillow cases on them.
9. It was great to have extra beach chairs and boogie board and a place to wash your feet.

My whole family enjoyed the beach house very much. We really liked that we could spread out, and enjoy the openness of the kitchen, it allowed multiple people in there at once. We also really enjoyed the location of the beach house. It was walking distance to restaurants, and very close to the beach access. The elevator really helped two of my family members that have mobility issues.

The house was great, plenty of space for the 9 of us. Kitchen has all the utensils for cooking. The separatw balconies are great for hanging out. Do be cautious of the chairs on the second floor balcony, they're a little dry rotted. The only complaint anyone had was that the floors were Very dirty, we all had black feet, and anytime there was something to wipe up the towel we would wipe it up with would come up black. But thats an easy fix. We just mopped and everything was fine! The access to the beach is right across the road, which was great with our kids. We enjoyed staying there.

Our family had an incredibly enjoyable stay. The location is fantastic, featuring decks that provide ocean views and you can even hear the waves! The perfect house for our family getaway. Plenty of space for all 9 of us with room to grow. The elevator was a Godsend for my 85 yr old daddy.

First, I was told that we could get in early and then they didn’t send anyone to check the property until 10 mins before check in time which meant we sat waiting for an hour even though the house wasn’t even rented the previous week. The house was riddled with mold from top to bottom. Two of the bathrooms had showers that didn’t drain at all. The whirlpool tub that was advertised in the master bath was unusable due to a large crack in the bottom. The overall decor was extremely dated. The mold was so bad that every member (7 total adults) of my party was having breathing and allergy issues by the time we left after only 4 nights in the house.

My family recently celebrated a special event at the beach with three generations in tow. There was plenty of room for all, and the property was very clean. We loved the open layout upstairs and that there was plenty of seating for all. Proximity to the beach and pier were great.
My two recommendations for the property owners would be to get new mattresses for the non king beds. Those who didn’t get kings said their beds weren’t very comfortable, especially the bunk beds.
The knives are dangerously dull. If you are serious about cooking, bring your own knives.
Couch had just been cleaned before we got there…yay! Except it was too wet to sit on the first day.

Once again, our family had a wonderful stay at the Pirates Queen. The house was perfectly clean with a kitchen that had everything we might need for all the family dinners we cooked during our stay, clean and comfortable bedrooms and a location that cannot be beaten. We returned for our second year in a row at the Christmas holidays to gather as a family together and were not disappointed. The team at iTrip go out of their way to make you feel welcome and while we had no issues at all, made it clear that they were easily contacted in the case that something should arise. With ages of 76 to 12 and 10 of us in total, this house met all of our needs for such a family gathering - from the location to the number of bedrooms to the elevator that allowed my elderly father who is wheelchair bound the ability to come this year again. It was a trip that we as a family needed as this past year has been troubled with the deteriorating health of my father and this house allowed us to gather and not have to worry about any physical limitations. We look forward to booking again next year to celebrate the holidays as a family. Thank you so much!

This is the nicest home we ever stayed in for a vacation. And we appreciated the communication from the owners. All the details for trip was always at hand and the app did make check in easier.
My husband needed an elevator due to his disability and we loved being able to take our pup as well.
The only complaint we had was that the microwave did not work which made easy Beach dinners difficult and created a few problems.
The Hosts were wonderful about sending someone to look at it but we’re unable to fix it before we left.
My favorites: wide open 3rd floor with open kitchen. It was a large space for our large family to hang out together, cook together, and eat together.
The bedrooms were really nice and the beds very comfortable. Our guest on the 1st floor bunk bed room did complain about the mattress but overall rooms were really well designed and comfortable. We imagine kids generally stay in that room.
We were able to borrow a beach wheelchair from the fire department which was only 2 blocks from house.
The garage was nice to put our beach chairs in and the outside shower great for sanding off before coming inside.
We highly recommend this house and would love to return.

The house is huge with 5 bedrooms and 4 baths. The beach is literally across the street with a 5 minute walk. All rooms are large an airy. Two balconies for relaxing. The kitchen has all the dishes you will need and nicely appointed with nice appliances. It also has an elevator to help with getting luggage and groceries up and away and also helps if you have elderly or physically challenged people so they can come on a vacation as well. Our family of 9 fitted in comfortably and had a delightful stay. You will too!!

Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, parking for all 9 of us plus 2 pets with room for more. Property management was extremely attentive to any of our questions and needs. My friends, family, and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Pirate Queens. Everything from the amenities, to the room configurations, to the reverse floor plans, to the recommendations to what to check out nearby, to the walkable coffee and ice cream shops, to the unimaginably close beach, made this trip absolutely perfect! We felt zero pressure about our stay at the property, even with four kids under five AND a dog! The PQ crew was always available by text and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, and were able to make things right no matter the size - they even went so far as to drop off a replacement lightbulb that had burned out!
The space is great and thoughtfully laid out. Noise is not an issue: an older couple in our party had the room next to the main gathering area, and never once heard the folks who stayed up later to play cards and catch up. The porch sunrises were one of our favorite parts. The elevator is awesome for groceries and luggage. There's so much at this place to enjoy while you're on property or at the beach - definitely a recommended stay from us!!

We had a great time at Pirate Queens. Short walk across the street to the beach and the weather was great for us! About a 5-10min drive to Ft. Fisher state park beach where dogs are allowed. The water is gorgeous here. The pier is a very short walk. Also, not far from the boardwalk at Carolina Beach for the kids, about a 10-15min drive with traffic. The house is spacious and met all our needs easily. The garage also had extra kid beach toys and extra beach chairs if needed.
Unfortunately, the 1st/2nd floor AC went out during our stay, but was fixed the following morning ASAP. I appreciate them working hard to get it fixed as quickly as they did. Kure beach is def one of our new favorite beaches that is less than 5hrs away.

Greatly enjoyed our 2nd Holiday spent at this house! We rented this house a few years when our daughter got married in the area just after Christmas and knew when we were going for our granddaughters first Christmas it was the one we wanted to rent. and we were so glad we did! Well equipped to cook Christmas Dinner and plenty of seating! Great communications with the property managers! I'm positive we'll be renting again next time we're in the area.

We traveled to Kure beach for a swim meet at UNC Wilmington and choose this company to rent from. We stayed in this home with two other families and were extremely happy with the location. The customer service was fantastic as well as the home itself. We rent many homes all over the east coast for my sons sport and this has been the best experience. Thank you to itrip for this stay.
