This 1840 picturesque villa is located 5 km far from the White village of Competa, in the province of Malaga, Andalucia.
This Axarquía-typical farmhouse has been renewed keeping its ancient style and the original structure, which provides excellent thermic isolation. Its location offers its guests breathtaking views of the green mountains of the Natural Park of Sierra Tejeda y Almijara that are particularly spectacular at dawn and during sunset. The views over the mountains of El Lucero, the Fuerte of Frigiliana with its majestic pine cover or the peak of El Cisne are just some of the astonishing presents nature gives to the guests of this holiday home.
This historic holiday home offers the opportunity to enjoy pure air, quietness and silence, in direct contact with nature. Moreover, you won’t have to give up the modern facilities.
The access road is only 300 meters far from the paved lane that connects Competa with Torrox Costa, which makes it easy to visit those towns.
The house can welcome up to six people, who can rest in one of the three bedrooms, one with double bed and the other two with two single beds each. The house also has a picturesque fireplace and a completely equipped open kitchen, alongside free WIFI, and a 22” satellite TV, thanks to which you will be able to see various international channels.
In the outdoor area, which is almost 10 hectares wide, you will find a private swimming pool, a garage and private parking. In the vicinity, traditional cultures can be found, such as grapevines, almond trees, fig trees, and prickly pears. Moreover, the property welcomes subtropical plants such as avocados and mangos, which can grow thanks to the mild climate conditions of the area.
Some other picturesque spots in the house are an old oven attached to the house, which has been recently renewed, and little buildings in front of the porch where grapes would be kept. They would dry in the sun, and convert into the main ingredient of the area's typical sweet.
In the lowest part of the property, you will find a spring known as “Fuente de Pepe Ruiz”, which would provide potable water to all the neighbours when houses didn’t have running water.

First experience was disappointing, i felt like ringing up Ruralidays and asking for another villa in place of this one even if i lost my deposit, that was how i felt,the owner was very obliging and did get the pool sorted out, but also the villa was very cold ideal for mid summer may be, but not in April, the electrics kept blowing every time we used the oven, owner did get electrician out after i told him the problem, after that the air conditioning started to function properly, meaning it was blowing warm air instead of cold, but even then the electric kept tripping out so had to turn everything off to use the oven, while by the pool you have people walking by above where you are lying around the pool looking down on you so not very private, overall we made the best out of what we had.

De plus une vue incroyable, qui donne sur les montagnes et la nature.Antonio est une personne au top, très gentil, très investie, sociable et à l’écoute de ses hôtes, il nous a fait de belle recommandation pour les visite des villes. De plus une vue incroyable, qui donne sur les montagnes et la nature.

The swimming pool was also much bigger than we expected and you can enjoy the sun all day long. The sea is also not too far away from the house, in the center you can visit commercial shops. It's a very calm area where you can enjoy the peace, much nature and mountains wich where beautifull. We recommend this place a lot and will defenitly come back. Had a great time there.

Nous avons passé un séjour au calme, dans un logement très bien équipé (lave linge, lave vaisselle, four...). La piscine est très agréable après une bonne journée de visite.
Depuis Torrox, plage, plongée... et visite des villes principales comme Séville ou Grenade.
Le logement étant en pleine montagne, la route est sinueuse et donc déconseillée à ceux qui ont le vertige.
Le propriétaire est très accueillant, et nous a transmis quelques adresses de restos à notre arrivée.
L’entrée et le départ indépendant via la boite à clé est très pratique.

La piscina, el porche, el terreno que la rodea.
Las vistas, especialmente hacia las Sierras Tejeda y Almijara.
La proximidad a Cómpeta, Frigiliana, Torrox, Nerja y a infinidad de rutas y parajes por el corazón de la Axarquía.
El clima.

We hebben enorm genoten van onze vakantie met ons gezinnetje (baby). De boeking is gemakkelijk verlopen via de website en de eigenaar gaf ons alle nodige informatie per e-mail. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar. De omgeving is prachtig en men kan tot volledige rust komen. Het zwembad was fantastisch en het huisje had alles wat men nodig heeft. Alles was proper en alles werd ook klaargelegd (babybedje, kinderstoel). TOP TOP TOP!

Una casa muy bien reformada, decorada y espaciosa. El WiFi funciona de maravilla. Sólo le hace falta un poco más de mantenimiento a la zona exterior. En la piscina se echa de menos más zonas de césped aunque sea artificial, por comodidad, sobre todo para entrar a la ducha. Pero la piscina maravillosa con buenas vistas. Eso sí las hamacas tumbonas no tienen colchonetas. El precio podría haber sido un poco más económico. Pero en general es una buena experiencia pasar unos días allí.

Piscine très agréable et bien entretenue
Très bon accueil par Antonio qui nous a expliqué tout ce qu’il fallait savoir sur la maison et les environs. Arrivée et départ quasiment libre grâce au système de boîte à clefs.
Hébergement à recommander pour qui veut un vrai coupure.

Het huis ligt in een zeer rustige omgeving met fraai uitzicht en is uitstekend voorzien van bedden,
Het huis ligt in een zeer rustige omgeving met fraai uitzicht en is uitstekend voorzien van bedden, douches en keuken. De stoelen voor binnen en buiten zijn wat ondermaats voorzien, maar aangezien wij met z'n tweeën waren, was dit voor ons geen probleem . Helaas hadden we niet erg best weer(gota fria). We hebben slechts 3 echte zonnige dagen gehad in 14 dagen. Verder redelijk bewolkt met af en toe zon maar temperatuur was heerlijk. Uitstekend gegeten in Nerja en thuis van de bbq. Met de auto is alles goed te bereiken zowel Nerja als Velez-Malaga.

Contrairement à certains commentaires que nous avions lu, l'état du chemin ne nous a pas posé de problème. La piscine vieillit un petit peu mais reste très agréable avec une belle dimension. Merci pour cet agréable séjour.
