La habitación muy comoda y la gente muy amable. Sin duda volvería a repetir.
No es que no me haya gustado, pero si que aviso que la entrada a la finca en coche es complicada para coches grandes.

Everything was perfect. The lady that works there is super friendly and caring. Always worried about the guest and making sure everything is perfect. There are many buses that stop in front of the house. I didn’t have a car and I was able to visit everything I wanted and didn’t need to walk much. Very relaxing place. The only complain I have is: my legs are full of mosquitos bites ahah. But I guess that’s not the place fault. Just make sure not to leave windows open during your stay.
The lady was super sweet, I was supposed to check out at 11 am, but I had a tour during the afternoon and she let me keep my bags there until I return. Breakfast was simple and good.

It is one of the coziest places I’ve visited! Everything was just perfect! The room, the house, the giant territory, breakfast, view, personnel! The place is located on the hill and has an amazing view that you will not have on Funchal otherwise - it is just luxury! Fresh fruits and berries are grown right in the garden and served at the breakfast. The owner has 3 dogs and if you’re lucky you can see them in the morning 😇 The staff is so friendly and helping you to solve all your issues. Would love to come back here ♥️
Nothing. Just be prepared to use busses if you don’t want to walk up the hill every evening. But there are plenty of them, just check the schedule in advance 👌

The house, view and surroundings are amazing, an oasis of calm in a big city. The house and equipment is old but absolutely charming and authentic. Breakfast is simple but very tasty. Good coffee, fresh orange juice and homemade mango maramalade. The communicative hostess gave us good tips and helped with everything we needed. Cannot imagine better place to stay for the money :)
You cannot get anywhere on foot, we had to use car. Did not try the public transport.

Wonderful character and history of the house, warm welcome from the staff, peaceful evenings sitting outside overlooking the vineyard and the city.
Easy walk down into the town, you may prefer to take a taxi back up the hill.

beautiful traditional Madeira’s typical quinta.. nice garden, amazing view of the city. nice confortable bed, and very nice staff
the location is maybe the only downside. A bit dar from the centre, but a bus stop just in front of the door and that will get you to the city centre in 8 minutes

Fantastic, atmospheric facility in a quiet corner of Funchal. Phenomenal staff that takes care of guests, recommends trips, dishes and points out interesting places in Madeira. We had a very enjoyable stay!

Amazing place to stay with beautiful old house and gardens. Great views of Funchal. We enjoyed walking round the farm & estate grounds. Quiet & peaceful location. The staff, Margarida & Rita, are lovely, incredibly friendly & helpful and very happy to chat and answer queries. Nice breakfast, as vegetarians we were well catered for. Our bedroom was very spacious with lots of cupboard space and an excellent shower/bath. The two sitting rooms downstairs are very comfortable. Wifi was excellent throughout the property. Great value for money.
The website mentions that a kitchen is available, which is perhaps misleading. The kitchen is still closed to guests, but a shared fridge, microwave, kettle & plates, cups, cutlery are made available in an adjacent room. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.
We enjoyed sitting out in the garden, but unfortunately we were bitten by mosquitoes in the early evening at dusk. It rained quite a lot in October. I believe that mosquitoes are only a problem in the autumn?
The bed was quite hard for me personally, but Linda found it very comfortable.
The walk from the town centre up to the quinta is very steep, therefore we got either a bus or a taxi. The taxi cost 7-8 €. The bus service is excellent. There is a bus stop outside the property as well as several other different bus service stops nearby. However you need to be well organised to know when & where the buses go & stop. The time it takes the bus to get from the centre or the terminus to the quinta can be very variable depending on the volume of traffic, which made it difficult to know when exactly the bus would arrive.
Despite the above minor issues, we would love to return to stay at this wonderful quinta again in the future, but at a different time of year.

The space has a lot of potential and old charm. The grounds are beautiful and the yard offers a nice view of Funchal.
For me, this was generally a good location from which to explore. It’s a fairly short (and pretty) walk to the downtown (about 20 minutes, down a very steep hill) and an affordable Bolt ride back up.
I expect a considerably higher level of cleanliness from an accommodation. Do not stay here if you are afraid of spiders.

The check-in process was super straightforward, the instructions that you are provided with are just perfect to get you settled in as soon as you arrive! The host was so lovely, she met me the next day during breakfast (which was fantastic as well - such a great spread of food!) to touch base with me and to see whether I needed anything.
The room was incredible - it gave me the best sunset views from my window, which overlooked a gorgeous vineyard on the property (that you can explore) as well as Funchal. Such a perfect base to have for exploring Madeira, highly recommend it!

I'm so happy that I found this place. I liked everything - that's exactly what I was looking for. It was not located in the city center, but was within walking distance of the downtown. Walking up the hill might be a bit exhausting:-)), but the bus traffic was ok. The building itself was very nice, stylish. The large garden surrounding it with flowers and vineyards was so beautiful. I had a huge room - it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the windows had a beautiful view of the yard. Breakfast had a good choice, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice (I adore it). The hostess was super-nice, she really made me feel at home. Thank you! I'll definitely come back:-)

Beautiful property. Only Staff seemed stressed. Beautiful views however very difficult to navigate without a car. Property updated bathrooms
Poor advice about transportation and navigation to close sites.
Very hard bed unless you prefer that.
No access to food or kitchen beyond breakfast. Poor breakfast and repetitive compared to other places.
No one there in afternoons or evenings if needed directions or food.
Taxi cost 11E and only leaves at top of hill. Need to steep walk down with luggage. Night time house hallways all dark trying to find rooms. Do not recommend for solo female or first time travelers. Will not allow payment with cash or to change CC even though states differently on site or booking.com. Beautiful historical building (7 gen?)however sadly lacking in general hospitality unless you’ve been there before.

Wonderful staff. Very comfortable bed. A good size bedroom with a big bathroom and a nice bath. The place is beautiful and the coffee break is great.
It was very hot. I missed having a fan. Even a small one would help.

Good sized room and bathroom. Good view from outside where we had breakfast. Helpful and friendly housekeeper. Good location slightly a short walk to the centre.
