Great location. Wonderful terrace. Lots of extras such as local products free to try, including olive oil made by the hosts. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Easy parking.
Sofa was small and not so comfortable.

Optimal location, central, the sights in both the old town and the new town easy to reach on foot. Wonderful, spacious terrace, with comfortable chairs and a dining table, offering a memorable view of Modica’s characteristic buildings on the opposing mountainside. (We far preferred Modica, an authentic, lively town, to Ragusa Ibla, and are glad we chose to stay there). Casa Mavi is quiet and has a comfortable large bed. Paintings by the host’s father, a well-known local artist, add to the feel of being in a Sicilian home. To top it all, the hosts, Mariella and Giovanni, are the most hospitable people one could ever dream of, treating us like family and giving us memories to be treasured. (Thank you also to their son-in-law, who helped us with our suitcases - Casa Mavi is in a ZTL, or Limited Traffic zone).
Nothing.

Modica’s best!!
We left Casa Mavi wishing we could stay longer. This beautiful apartment with a gorgeous terrace overlooks the town of Modica. We were two adult couples traveling together who easily shared the spacious apartment. I would add to the description of this apartment by saying it is large, spacious and comfortable. Virtually everything you could need for an extended stay is here. There are large bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms and the owners maintain the heat and lighting at a level that makes even winter visits a joy. And lastly, the hosts, Mariella and Giovanni I can’t say enough! They are the most accommodating and friendly people and we instantly became friends.
For travelers with a car. The apartment is situated so that driving within 50 metres is possible. Parking close by was a treat! To reach the main streets of Modica the stairs outside the front door take you directly there in 5 minutes. I will return just to stay here again!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Everything was perfect!!

Apartment was spacious, immaculate, well equipped, well located and everything functioned well: washer, dryer, air conditioning, espresso machine, great water pressure in the shower, lovely large balcony with comfortable seating and exceptional views. The hosts were fantastic and furnished everything we needed including laundry soap, pods for the espresso machine, extra bottles of water, a bottle of champagne and local chocolate.
Everything was great. Just understand Modica is a city of stairs. Apartment is a short walk to the Duomo of San Giorgio but it’s up approximately 100 steps. Down from the apartment approximately 115 stairs is the main street with restaurants and chocolate shops.

A great introduction to the casa by wonderful friendly hosts. Lacked for no amenities. Nice unexpected touch with the prosecco and chocolate. Lovely big terrace with beautiful view of the town..
Can't think of anything.

We stayed for 3 nights in Mariella’s place, and we loved the house. The house is clean and lovingly maintained. Their terrace looks directly onto the beautiful Modica downtown and we spent every moment we could lying on the terrace.
Furthermore, Mariella and her husband were the sweetest, most warm hosts we had the good fortune to meet. When we were about to leave, they noticed that our tires had a small puncture, and immediately jumped into their own car to bring us to a tire repair shop. As we didn’t speak a word of Italian, they helped us with negotiating and explaining everything to the tire repair man, and everything was fixed within 15 minutes.
For genuine warmth and hospitality, this is a wonderful place to be, and we hope to have a chance to meet Mariella and husband again.
