Really cute little house with nice little garden/back yard. Tiny, but well equipped kitchen and appliances are great for a simple, short stay but you may find it limiting if you wanted to do more cooking on longer stays. It was just right for our stay over, but we found the window AC units took a bit of figuring out to get a comfortable temperature in the August heat. The bathroom is also compact that big and tall people may find limiting. We also really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood. Some really cute houses and it was a very short drive to restaurants and a big park.

Good place for a quick overnight stay. Had a fenced in yard for our dogs, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfy beds, clean bathroom.

Bugs in the bathroom, cockroaches on day 1&2, owner seemed less than concerned dirty kitchen; I would never cook anything as both the toaster oven and stove drip pans were gross. Rustic isn’t a replacement term for dirty

Although the residence was small, it was adequate for needs! It was clean, check-in was accomplished easily. Our host was easy to contact and quick to meet our needs.

It’s was very small but perfect. It had window units for cooling which was ok but I prefer central.

We had a pleasant stay in this little but cozy house, it's very basic, I wouonky be worried about the weather because if it's too cold or too hot the HVAC system and insulations is poor. Other than that is decent for the price.

Like staying at Grandmother house
Probably not for a person with physical disability. Multiple level house. Enjoyed the large refrigerator and freezer.

Only for the cold-natured.
Perfect neighborhood location within close proximity to Amarillo College and a park. But, the climate control within this property needs improvement. Temps were over 90F during the day and the single wall unit is NOT adequate to cool off either of the bedrooms even with the available box fan at night. We did not feel comfortable enough to leave the only window open while we slept as it was the only one that opened but had no screen. Further, the only skillet available was a flimsy old one that had nonstick coating flaking off and the only large burner on the mini cooking range was unavailable. Also the main doorknob to the entryway was loose. Further, host was notified of our late arrival after midnight but no lights were on to help us locate the address nor fumble with key access. Thankfully, my phone has a flashlight. Maintenance and climate needs improvement.

How was helping my son move from Denver to Dallas, we needed a place to just rest her head overnight. This was perfect, quaint little house. Super easy to get along with the owner, and excellent communication. As advertised!

Great stay
The house was super cute, had everything we needed and was close to restaurants, shopping and palo duro. The beds were comfy and the shower was really hot and had good pressure too, great after a long hike.

Cute cottage in a lovely neighborhood!
Stayed only one night with my husband and two kids; a quick stop to break up our long drive. We all agreed it would have been nice to stay a few more days. The beds were comfy, the space was cute and clean. Lots of towels, extra pillows, and the neighborhood was quiet. We hope to come back and enjoy walking around to see the beautiful homes in the area. Thank you!

Cute house!
Cute house close to downtown. Lots of dinner options very close. Traveling with two kids & a small dog! So much better than a hotel! (It isn’t perfect, because it is an older home. Instead it is quaint & has lots of character!)

Ideal for short stay
We stayed one night on our way from Texas to Colorado, and this home was sufficient for our needs. The beds were comfortable and having a private fenced in yard was awesome! However, I did have a few issues. 1. To get check-in information I had to message the host on the day we arrived because it was not available in the app. Every other property I've ever stayed at has this available at least a day in advance. 2. The smaller bedroom does not have a window unit, so we had to set up a bunch of fans to blow cool air into that room for my kids to be able to sleep, which meant we had to have the door open and lights out all night. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of if you're going when it's hot. Fortunately there were fans available in both rooms. 3. The stools don't fit at the tables where they're placed, so expect to either take turns eating (one person at a time) or just have a floor picnic. Either way, it was fine for a single night and the neighborhood is lovely for taking walks after a long drive.

Spiders and dead bugs
We arrived late, expecting to shower and sleep before hitting the road again in the morning. The first thing I noticed was dead bugs on the bottom of the tub and spiders living in the corners of the shower. Unfortunately, that made me uncomfortable and worry about the cleanliness of the rest of the house. There were more dead bugs on the laundry room floor and window sills.
The house is old and was not built with the best quality. Not all of the seems meet up, so bugs can crawl through spaces. It does not have central air conditioning. There is a window unit in the living room and another in the room with the king size bed. The room with the queen size bed had a fan. The house was stuffy when we arrived and took a while to cool off.
Otherwise, the kitchen was clean. The king sized bed comfortable. Basics like toilet paper and paper towels were provided. The owner acknowledged our booking and sent the information to get in at check-in time.
I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking to just sleep and move on in the middle of the week. But it might be ok if someone else recently booked it and it was recently cleaned. Arrive early so you have time to cool it off.

Just right for us
Our visit started out rough, clicked on directions from reservation but it took us to the wrong unit. The owner promptly answered as we struggled to get in and finally after 20 mins we were able to get into the right place. The unit was perfect for our small Navy reunion. The only complaint was there was no towels and it wasn’t until we did laundry did we notice all the towels were still in the dryer. Other than that it was good and close by to see Amarillo. Would stay there again and would recommend it

Sufficient.
Pros
Decent neighborhood
Washer and dryer
Cheap
King size bed was ok for comfort
Mostly clean
Cons
Needed a few updates
Fan in bedroom #2 didn’t work
Window ac in living area struggled to keep up and had some mold spotting
Basically we just needed a place to sleep after 13 hrs on the road and were back on the road early and this did the trick. If just needing an inexpensive place to stay this works. Lots of potential in this place could just use some updates. And watch out for the step in the laundry area !

Bad communication - not super nice
Had a very unusual experience with this property manager. Did not receive the instructions on how to get into the house even after the check in time. Had to call Vrbo to get ahold of the property manager. Confirmed the appointment, but then no welcome message or property check in information. Would not stay again. House is also pretty dirty.
