We had a wonderful stay at Shades of Blue. The house was really lovely, it was comfortable and had everything we needed as far as amenities went, plus the view was beyond stunning! We loved waking up to it every morning.
The road to the house itself is a dirt road up the side of a hill, and it's a bit rough and bumpy - not a negative, just something to be aware of.

The villa is absolutely beautiful, you couldn't ask for more. As soon as we arrived we felt completely at home, there wasn't one item that we needed/wanted that we couldn't find there, its spacious, clean, has views from several rooms and the outside area is great. The villa is surrounded by mountains covered by olive trees with fresh herbs and plants growing all around. The views are literally spectacular, changing throughout the day depending on how calm the sea is and how clear the sky is. You will need a car for the location and there isn't really anything within walking distance (as the costal road would be quite dangerous to walk along) but that wasn't an issue at all. Kiveri, the small town close by has everything you need - a great butchers and deli (meat Maria) and the most amazing bakery, there is also a small supermarket and several tavernas (although we didn't eat anywhere other than the villa given how beautiful the outside cooking/dining are is!) - we would love to go back again and if we did we'd like to see more of the location as both small towns nearby had a lovely vibe but we just couldn't drag ourselves away from Shades of Blue!
As you turn off the main road and drive up to the villa the approach to the villa is quite messy with building materials etc but once you get to the villa the drive way and the grounds are lovely and you can't fault it so this is only a very small negative

Shades of Blue was the best choice for a getaway to celebrate my birthday. This beautifully hidden gem is so close to Athens (not even two hours drive!) and at the same time so majestically beautiful that takes you instantly away from the everyday routine. The unobstructed view of the sea, the green surroundings of the mountains that hug the house, the modern architecture and superior interior design of the house, and the perfectly situated pool overlooking the big blue, were the reasons we wanted to stay home and enjoy every minute of our stay. The most incredible surprise was the small sand and pebble beach just under the house (3-minute walk) with the crystal-clear waters and the palm trees. The house is so well equipped that we did not miss anything: from the Bluetooth big speaker that played our favourite music, the pool games, the Netflix, fully equipped kitchen and the tasteful tableware ... this villa has it all. Special thanks to Elena, an incredible hostess who was there to provide useful information whenever we needed it (she even ordered takeaway for us!).
The location is perfect to visit the picturesque villages nearby (Kiveri and Xiropigado), but also Nafplio (15 minutes’ drive) and Astros Kinourias. There are some nice tavernas just a few minutes’ drive away from the house too.
We will definitely revisit Shades of Blue soon and next time we will take advantage of the beautiful BBQ area with our friends.
