A fire pit is located just off the deck with 12 Adirondack chairs. Plenty of open space for the family to run around and play or relax while playing some yard games (Cornhole, Volleyball/badminton and CanJam are available).
Inside is where the charm of this old farmhouse shines while the recently updated kitchen (including all new GE Cafe appliances) and bathrooms bring new life to this house. Two staircases grant access to the upstairs where there are 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. All mattresses are brand new and are covered by down-alternative comforters and Pendleton wool blankets (Each room is named after a US National Park and incorporates the matching Pendleton wool print). A common room upstairs is perfect for the kids to enjoy a slumber party together or close the doors and you have 2 separate and private upstairs spaces (bedroom #1, #2, #3 and 1 bathroom on one side with bedroom #4, #5 and 1 bathroom on the other).

Beautiful home- they thought of everything! The location is perfect for visiting wineries and restaurants and it is an easy drive to Ithaca. We will definitely return!

That moment when you get to the end of the driveway and go check out the view of the lake before even going in the house... The property was everything you hope for and then some. We spent a lot of time around the fire pit, because this is the perfect place for it. 9 people and still rooms to spare. Really enjoyed our stay.

Love, love, LOVE this property! 12 of us stayed herevfor a 50th birthday get away! The view of the lake is AMAZING, the house and bathrooms are spotless and very well stocked with supplies, silverware and kitchen ware you may need. The bedrooms are large and beds are cozy. Beautiful deck large enough for the entire group to sit out and watch the sun set over the lake. The kitchen island is small but there is a large dining room table to gather around instead of the kitchen island. Our only suggestion is that it would be nice to have more comfortable seating at the island and out on the deck but otherwise we had a blast and hope to return next year. We used the outside fire pit and Adirondack chairs to gather in the evening and a lot of laughs were had playing pong pong and pool in the basement level.

What a beautiful property! Great layout and thoughtful touches for big groups. Rob was quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely book again!

This was a lovely house that sits on a beautiful property. It was about a twenty minute drive to Ithaca, but we didn’t end up minding it because of the location that included a fire pit, expansive grounds, and view of the lake. There isn’t an en suite for the master, but the charm of the house and location made up for it.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and property are even more beautiful than the pictures. It is very quiet and serene overlooking the lake. The house was very clean with comfortable / firm beds. There was plenty of space for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. The location was amazing and being so close to Taughhanouk park was perfect for us and the kids, The house was better appointed than many others I’ve stayed in with plenty of nice cookware, dishes, serveware etc. we had a great stay and hope to visit again soon!

We’ve been vacationing on the Finger Lakes for the last 15 years…and finally found THE PLACE! Beautifully renovated, thoughtfully provisioned, this property maintains an historic farmhouse feel, with the best view on the lake. This is the first time we didn’t rent a waterfront home..and we were rewarded! Conveniently located for all activities, there were days we never left the property! We’ve already booked again for next year!

This was a great stay for our family. The large, expansive yard was enjoyed by our children during their soccer and frizbee games.
The farmhouse was just as advertised. It's in a beautiful setting, overlooking Cayuga Lake. It's only a few miles from some state parks. We enjoyed the many waterfalls in the area. My only complaint: That we couldn't stay longer.

My group absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and has a very relaxing view of the lake! The house was very clean, spacious and we didn't have any concerns. Rob was easy to deal with and responded in a timely manner. Would recommend!

Northview Farm was the perfect property for our group eight friends to gather and enjoy a weekend back in Ithaca! We loved the spacious house, gorgeous views of the lake, and firepit in the yard on those chilly nights. We'd gladly plan a return trip in the coming years.

Pros: amazing property setting amidst the farm fields overlooking the lake, minuets from hiking, wine tasting, shopping and lake activities. Mattresses and bedding were comfortable. Kitchen comes with updated appliances and most utensils that you will need. Bonus - coffee pot that makes 30+ cups of coffee.
Plenty of space for our group of 12.
Cons: If you are not accustomed to old homes, it comes with some creeks and squeaks that are typical with a 100+ yr old home.
Definitely recommend and would rent again.

This house is just beautiful. Spacious and comfortable. The property is absolutely stunning. Views like no other and plenty of outdoor space to run around and play and relax, too. The owner is responsive, friendly and attentive. The location is minutes from Trumansburg’s charming downtown and also plenty of playgrounds, the lake, hiking and more. definitely considering a return soon!

This old farmhouse was wonderful. Bedrooms are all upstairs and well apportioned. Sheets and blankets and beds very comfortable. Outdoor firepit was terrific with constant supply of wood overlooking the lake, great star shows, shooting and all and beautiful sunsets. Plenty of bathrooms with great H2O pressure - could use more towels, handtowels, washcloths. Kitchen well apportioned but it needs at least one very large stock pot. Dining area spacious with great views. Common/sitting areas roomy, however they could use more small upholstered chairs in addition to couches and loveseats. Owners were attentive and available for any questions or needs. Highly recommend this property.

This property has a million dollar view that is for sure. I loved the history charms and feel of the house itself. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for us to spread out and come together when we wanted. The sheets and towels were clean and there were extras if needed. My only criticism would be about the cleanliness. The windows were a tad too dirty to throughly appreciate the views of the lake from in the houses and the houses did not appear to have been vacuumed or dusted in quite some time. The wool blankets on the bed look nice, but they were covered in hairs from previous guests which was a little unsettling. Overall the property met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Northview Farm. The house was perfect for 3 families with teenagers. We enjoyed the property both in the house as well as outside. We would happily stay there again in the future. Hiking and wineries were all within an easy driving distance. Our only complaint about the house was that the dishwasher left such a thick film on the dishes that we had to hand wash everything. It didn't take away from the wonderful experience that we had.

Perfect house for a big group!
This house was perfect - plenty of room for our 3 extended families to get together. Space to spread out for quiet time, as well as space to come together to cook, eat (in or out), play games, etc. And the sunsets (with outdoor music) around the fire pit were amazing! About 20-30 minute drive to activities in Ithaca, but around the corner from Taughannock Falls and worth it for the space and tranquility of this amazing house, we will definitely be back!

Family Vacation
Found the house to be spacious and well equipped, plenty of room for nine people to spread out. Enjoyed family meals in the dining room and on the deck at the large picnic table. Loved sitting there enjoying views of the sunsets over the lake. Family members went hiking and visited nearby wineries; kids loved the state park playgrounds and swimming areas.

Family Wedding Weekend
Family from all over the country gathered at the farmhouse for a family wedding in Ithaca. The house was perfect for our gathering as it provided a place to relax and enjoy our family. The 5 bedrooms and the 3+ baths allowed everyone space for sleeping and getting ready for the wedding. The multiple areas for hanging out provided a variety of locations for activities for the group, whether it was playing cards or gathering for a meal in the dining room, hanging in the family room or around the kitchen island, playing cornhole on the lawn, sitting around the firepit making s'mores or just enjoying the lake views. The Northview Farmhouse was everything we wanted for our family wedding weekend!
Thank you Rob and Heather for sharing your beautiful farmhouse and for your responsiveness during the entire stay!

Girls Weekend Getaway
First, the pictures of this property do not do the in-person views justice. As my car rolled into the driveway, our jaws dropped to the floor in awe of the views. The sunsets at this property are absolutely breathtaking, and I think "golden hour" was our favorite time of day.
The house itself was a perfect fit for our group. Lots of parking, plenty of space inside (and out!), and the sleeping accommodations were great. Having the linens provided was an added bonus.
Would highly recommend for a larger group staying overnight in addition to just looking for a place to host an event (which we didn't do the latter).

Perfect Graduation Weekend!
The location of this property was exactly as we hoped for graduation weekend. The rural setting overlooking the lake, the big yard for backyard games and enjoying the fire pit, the easy access to the cute town of Trumansburg and convenience stores, nearby Taughannock Falls within walking distance. … I could go on and on. And we ended the holiday weekend with a great party for our daughter who had just graduated from Cornell. Her friends and their parents were drooling over the view and location. SO MUCH FUN! And the house beautifully accommodated our group. Loved it! I highly recommend this spot! And Rob was very responsive, answering my MANY questions leading up to the weekend.

Rob and Heather are great people and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself at their rental property/ farm. They are very hands on.The overall experience was fantastic. We spent over 50% of our time at the property which is a beautiful 80 acre farm setting overlooking Cayuga Lake. We flew kites, played badmitten, slam jam and other games. At night time we grilled out and had bonfires. The bike riding was very nice. We went down the Black Diamond trail one day from Taughannock Falls to Ithaca. There are also lots of country roads where you can safely bike ride. There are well over 50 wineries (the wine was good for regional wines) you could visit although only some were open and for only limited hours due to COVID 19.There are over 100 waterfalls to see (Go to Taughannock, Robert Treiman and Watkins Glen state parks). You should visit Ithaca one day and go on Falls Trail and see Cornell University and possibly botanical gardens. We rented kayaks within 1 mile of our unit.We went lake fishing one day and caught over 10 lake trout. The house is very large with extra rooms (without furniture). You do have to share bathrooms. The only negatives (and they didn't bother us much) is that the place could have been slightly cleaner. We did see a couple of cock roaches. We did have an issue one day with the air conditioner one day (bedroom ceiling fans might help) and another day with the well water supply but Rob fixed both promptly. If you are a close active family with children that likes doing things together this is the place to go.I would love to come back next year but not sure if we will because we like doing different things each year Rob and Heather, thank you for sharing your place with us.Mike and Fran and family

Beautiful! Just beautiful!
I held my bridal shower here, the place was gorgeous! The pictures of the view do not justice. My guests couldn’t believe how perfect this place was! I will rent this place again and plan to hold future “showers” here as well! I will be spreading the word to everyone I know looking for a beautiful place to stay when traveling to the finger lakes! AND the owner was super helpful, kind and tentative to my needs!

Staying at Northview Farm this past weekend was an absolute pleasure for my group 12. This farmhouse boasts century old charm, with modern accommodations and cozy vibes seemingly extracted from a Pendleton magazine. Our host, Rob, emailed us a few days before check in reassuring our group that he would be available at a moments notice during our stay. He also gave us a list of recommendations for activities and eateries in the downtown Ithaca and Trumansburg area. Rob proved to be a gracious host and his property was absolutely stunning. Thank you so much Rob!Stir crazy from being indoors during the winter, my friends and I came to Ithaca looking for a range of outdoor winter activities. A few of us love to fly fish, so we visited Taughannock Falls and Cayuga Lake where we lucked out with land-locked salmon and browns! While fishing, our other group went hiking in Treman State Park. The gorges and falls in Treman were absolutely breathtaking. After our outdoor adventures, our friends picked up a couple of growlers from Garretts in Trumansburg, and we reconvened at Northview. After a family style dinner on the gorgeous farmhouse dining room table, we played board games and drank beer for the remainder of the evening. The old-school board games provided by our host was such a classic touch. It felt as though I was in my childhood living room! Sunday morning we woke up to a few inches of fresh powder, which only added to the stunning views of Cayuga Lake. It goes without saying that our group loved visiting Ithaca, and this house was the icing on the cake to return home to every evening. We can't wait to book this house during the summer months and see fireworks over Cayuga Lake, explore the numerous local wineries, and fish without 4 layers of clothing! Thanks again to our fantastic host, we love Northview Farm!
