About this house rental

Enjoy a peaceful stay in our fully furnished cabin. Located only a few houses from the lake. Watch the beautiful sunset or even take your boat out. This cabin has all of the amenities you could possible need for a peaceful getaway with your family or friends.

Houghton Lake is the perfect place to get away, offering year round entertainment. Come see the biggest Inland lake in Michigan! Whether you want a relaxing day on the water or to take a ride on the 6,100 miles of Michigan’s public trails. There is no better place than our rustic cabin to escape with friends and family. All genuine, Amish made log furniture throughout, TVs in the living room and master bedroom, sun room, wood stove, and two futons. Enjoy a fun night around the bonfire. Spend your mornings watching the sunrise in our cute, little sun room. A large garage is also on the property where you can store your boat, ATV, or snowmobiles during your stay. Located near some of the nicest golf courses Michigan has to offer.

Guests will have access to the entire cabin and garage. There are rental places surrounding the entire lake. You have the option to paddleboard, kayak, or rent a pontoon, all within a mile of the cabin.

It was a nice little cabin by the lake. A couple of times during our 6 weeks stay I had to reach out to the owner. He was extremely quick to respond and made sure our concerns were taken care immediately. Two thumbs to the owner.

Very cabiny! All necessities needed. Lots of places to go. Walked down to lake everyday to see baby ducks. Great stay!

Had everything my husband and I needed for our stay… Check-in was easy. The host contacted us and let us check in a half hour early. He even turned on the lights so we could see… Nice, quiet neighborhood (for November).

The full bed was in bad location, up against wall. Living rom had several entry points with step up/down, hazardous. Not many windows opened. On positive note clean rooms, bedding, towels, and supplies adequate.

Reminds me of my grandmas old country home from the 1970’s. I really miss that house and the way it felt to be there as a kid. This was nice! We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back. Thank you!

We rented this cabin for 3 guys for a couple days fishing trip. Small, nice cabin, with all you need for a stay. Warm heat, hot water, fans. The bunk beds older mattress were pretty hard. Only real issue for us was a need for a outside side light for where you park. Super dark night upon arrival, not lighting to see how to walk, or unload. A decent motion detector light would improve saftey greatly. We would stay here again.

I can not explain how awesome this was at this cabin! The place was amazing & very comfortable! Tony had his cleaning crew in & out so we could check in earlier! 12 ⭐️ Definitely will visit again!

Good location and close to the lakes. Bed mattress needs to be replaced as it was very lumpy and the one window A/C unit on the porch wasn't enough to cool down the whole cabin even with the fans going.

Best getaway ever

We stayed for four nights over memorial day weekend. There was so much to do we ran out of time! Definitely coming back again to this wonderful cabin. Furniture was fantastic all made of log. Bed was amazing. We even had firewood to burn!

We were up for our annual ice fishing trip. Looking to be closer to the water we booked this cabin. It did not disappoint. We were close enough to ride our snowmobiles to the lake. The cabin was small and cozy. Perfect for what we needed it for. Had all the imenities we needed tho we didn't use most of them. The cabin was a little drafty and the heater is noisy but overall was a great place to stay. Would definitely return.

Very dusty, wasn’t cleaned before we got there, mold in front screen room.

No air conditioner throughput the cabin only in the front porch area which is moldy and had to use the fan to blow air threw out the cabin which made the whole cabin smell like mold
