The options for alcoholic drinks in the restaurant were quite limited. A reasonable wine list is essential for international visitors.

Absolutely amazing place. A small drive away from the bustle of Udapur and you have a most wonderful view on the city and total calm. Hosts are superb; food and view from the rooftop beats any top place in Udaipur. I loved it!

Burj Baneria is very stylish, with beautiful decor and also very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are incredible views across the lake to the old city, and although a little out of town, we found this perfect as it is peaceful and quiet at night. We experienced the warmest hospitality from the wonderful hosts, and also delicious food. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for two nights as one wasn’t enough!

The hosts were very understandable, they didn’t force us to extend our stay, they taught us valuable lesson in researching our bookings and being kind.
The location, it’s in the old Udaipur city and travelling post sunset would be tedious, would recommend it for people who have cars or are in a bigger group, solo travellers/two people on a trip could think about it.

The homestay is exquisite and very well kept. The rooms have an amazing view of the lake and City Palace which is cherry on the cake. The staff and hosts are very courteous and helpful. The rooftop restaurant is amazing in the evening to kick back and relax. Overall it was a amazing experience !!!
Comes close to perfect with minor nitty gritty I would like to call out. As the homestay is quite far from the city, it should be highlighted while booking and you will need to make travel arrangements. Inside the property if there was recreation centre it would have been good. Overall nothing to complain.

The view, overlook the immediate surroundings, and the food was really good. Though the spread was limited, the taste was spot on.

The hosts reply to the review - It shows how big a mistake it is to stay with the property. The linen has rust marks would request the host to recheck it before mentioning that it was because we dined in the room was extremely unwarranted. We were unwell but sorry for the misconception that you have - you didn't do anything out of your way to make us feel comfortable. Yes you allowed us to dine in the room and we were thankful for the same. But your reply on the linen shows the hospitality extended. We requested for medicines at 10am you delivered it at 7.30pm when you returned to the property - had you done things out of your way, we would have received medicines by noon considering the urgency. We didn't really wish to mention all this here - but your reply solicited my response.
And its unnecessary to conclude that we were angry about not enjoying the vacation and venting out here.
If you really wish to make a difference and are concerned about the reviews - kindly take it as genuine feedback instead of responding to the negative reviews the way you do!
1. Location: It is not in Udaipur City. It is on the other side of the lake and around 7kms from the main places. The photos on the website do not indicate the true nature of the location. The homestay is off the city limits for cabs and is a one off building in a sea of green cover. In case of emergencies, it might be a place you'll regret booking.
2. Commuting: Cabs do not come to this side of the area. While the map says it's 2kms - it calculates the distance of crossing the lake. But by road, it takes around 7kms and is in the interiors and in the middle of nowhere. It is scary to step out in the night as there are hardly any street lights and the surrounding area is a forest, so there is a threat of wild animals. While it takes 20 mins for cabs / ricks to get arranged - paying INR 500 only to commute to and fro the hotel does not make sense.
3. Checkin experience: When we checked in, they mentioned there is 60 percent occupancy however we were the only people staying there. While inside the property it is safe, would appreciate honesty.
4. Wifi : Extremely weak - the tv has an option to connect to wifi but the hotel denies saying that only local channels are to be viewed. If you want to browse any content online, you need to use your personal hotspot instead. The wifi does not even connect to the phone, and there is no resolution to the same.
5. Room: we got upgraded to a superior room but it didnt not enhance the entire experience of the room as the linens were stained and dirty(Hosts comments are not appreciated).On requesting a change of sheets, the staff denied and informed us that they change the linens only once in two days. There was no double bed - instead two single beds with ill fitting mattresses which kept moving to two different sides leaving a gap in between.
6.Insects: As the homestay is nestled in a thick bushy area, it is highly prone to insects being in the room.

Loved the staff - so humble, polite, the owner couple - if you reading this you people are awesome for real. All of them were are so warm and respectful. All needs were met. I even ordered something for my husband's birthday online and they were really nice not only to receive it for me but the manager Jaywardhan Singh, guided the delivery person for me and took all the load off my shoulder.
Extremely nice people, for the first time I was so sad to leave a place and I miss staying there so much. The property was well maintained, extremely clean and had breathtaking view. Also, the food was so so delicious and they served literally EVERYTHING hot on a plate. So much peace and calm the place had at all times.
For sure, the best 4 days of the year, nothing Compares.

What an aesthetic and photogenic place! Every detail has been thoughtfully implemented while making this beautiful hotel/homestay, it really shows. Booked the suite room in August 2023 and I was treated with the best views and greenery Udaipur has to offer. The food was great, and very reasonably priced too. The service was flawless. The view with which you start your day is one of the best feelings one can have. Usually we see great photos in listings and the actual experience comes out a tad bit worse, BUT it is the opposite here! The actual views are better than the photos. I am totally recommending this to my family and friends.
The absence of a lift might make it troublesome for aged people to go to the terrace which is on the third floor.

First of all the location : the hotel is nested in the forest on the shore of the lake. The view on Udaipur is simply stunning, from your room and from the roof top.
Our room was spacious, decorated with taste with large French windows on the lake.
The restaurant is delicious, the staff simply perfect.
Our hosts were very kind and helpful, organized all our drop to the city with their own driver (for a very reasonable price) also day trips outside the city.

Burj Baneria, situated on a hill, is the awesomest location to stay in whole of Udaipur (and we have stayed in some of the best locations that Udaipur has to offer). The views of the lake and the mountains from all the rooms are just scintillating, nay heavenly. Shimmering Pichola lake during sunrise and sunset, undulating multi layers of hills, chirping birds, and whole of lakefront city-lights in the night are simply an amazing experience - that too right from our room. The rooftop terrace cum restaurant is another fantastic experience.
To top it, the young husband-wife duo hosts are just wonderful. The staff is polite and always ready to help. The rooms are comfortable.
Like Taj Lake Palace, Burj Baneria is a must have stay experience at Udaipur.

The location of the place is just so apt. It's a very well-made and well managed property and not very far from the city. One can easily reach here and stay put comfortably. It's located right under the sravali foot hills and commands a mesmerizing view of lake pichola, aravali mountains, and sajjangarh palace.
The sunrise and sunsets are just magical to witness from all rooms and from their roof top Cafe.
Tip- If you are staying here, do capture all your sunrise and sunset timeplapses from rooftop restaurant and your rooms higher floors.
The room sizes are big enough and very comfortable. The hand painting work done on the wall right behind the bed takes the room aesthetics to another level.
We stayed in their suites, and we were more than comfortable.

I missed clicking the room pictures from inside as I was more focused on the magical view we had all the days.
Lunch timings can be extended a little. Unfortunately, 1.30, the kitchen closes. However, I understand it closes early as this property is not promoted as a hotel but a boutique homestay. Also, most of the guests would not be there during lunchtime in the homestay as all will be out to explore the city.
But overall, this is a highly recommended property. The owners who are the host as well are just great to talk to. I thank them for making our stay fantastic. Will visit soon again.

Tip- Since it's promoted as a boutique homestay, room service is not available and allowed. If you are staying here, then make sure you have all your meals at their roof top Cafe with a fabulous view of Lake pichola and aravalis. That view should work as a motivation for you to access their rooftop for your meals. They also have a bar so you can enjoy a drink or a two as well with that evening or a sun downer view of Lake pichola.

Spacious, Quiet with Great views all around. Meals on the Terrace was picturesque with the Lake and the Aravali as the backdrop... AMAZING.
The owners of the property are very friendly and great talking to and make you feel like family. The staff at the Property are also kind and attentive. Would definitely 💯 stay at the property again when visiting Udaipur

It was the excellent stay with awesome view of Aravalli's ,Lake pichola and amazing Sunrise and sunsets and that too from your own room , they have superb homely yet amazing food , The host were really welcoming , helpful and ready to extend support in terms of hospitality , I would really recommend the property to all people who are looking for a quiet ,good food and wants to enjoy the calmness and beauty of Udaipur .You will feel the vibe of Royal's in your hosts and of the city when you are staying at Burj Baneria , It's location make it more attractive as it's near to the city Palace and main market yet on a hill with amazing views.
In terms of connectivity , at night it is little bit of dark without street lights which might be issue to the people not travelling from their own vehicles or not used to that route . Though it is near to the city palace and many of attractions it makes it a great place to stay .

Its more like a hone stay! Loved their dining area which is rooftop! Gives beautiful view of pichola lake!
Breakfast especially buffet is reasonable and very nice . There is inclusiveness of continental &Induan Breakfast! Very helpful staff, especially the hosts( Mrs Shivalika)provided good guidance regarding the city tour and the people recommended were trustworthy in context of transportation! Overall my first solo trip was made memorable, thanks to them!! Will always recommend it!

There is nothing to rule out about this homestay. It was one of the most beautiful and pleasant stays we have ever had. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. We booked a suite and could see a breathtaking sunrise every morning from our bed. We would come again just because of this homestay! The service, the interior design/furnishings and the view were a great experience. We can recommend this more than affordable homestay to anyone.

Manager was not even ready to give us a room when we requested for early checkin. Even though the room was available and there was a waiting area they mentioned that you need to wait on the roof top. Who does that to there guest.location is in the jungle. Room is compact. Not worth the money

Whatever I write about Burj Baneria will not do justice unless you actually go and visit the place. To begin with you might feel that it is a bit remotely located but let me tell you, it's worth every penny so don't get deterred at all. The whole place gives you a vibe of warmth and welcomed. The owners are amazing people who are always attentive to your requirements. They will always be there to welcome you with a warm smile.
The whole home is beautifully decorated and a lot of attention to detail has been given which makes it even more exclusive. The highlight of this place is the view and their roof top restaurant. Once you are there you would not want to leave the place.
They make fresh food for you which of course is healthy but they have a great cook; Imagine healthy and tasty food.
Last but not the least, the staffs who help run this beautiful homestay. A big Kudos to them..

Location that is outside of the main buzz of the city makes for a calm and peaceful stay. Amazing view of the city and I caught the sunrise from my bed in room 104. Shirvika was exceptionally helpful in providing recommendations for the things we wanted to do in Udaipur. Staff were all friendly and helpful, rooms were really clean and they have a really good breakfast spread. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

If you want some time away from the busy city but still want to enjoy a serene view and amazing food- this is the place for you! Since it's a little far from the city, you would think that you're missing out on the famous food joints in the city and would want to Zomato- don't! Try the food here- the biryani, parathas; everything is good and reasonably priced unlike all the cafes in the city!
The cherry on the cake is the owners- the perfect epitome of Rajasthani hospitality.
