During our stay, the outside temps were often in the single digits...unusually cold even for this area. The max setting on the thermostat was 74, which meant the main level was tolerable, the upstairs master was toasty, and the finished basement was almost uninhabitable...too cold to relax or sleep comfortably. The gas log furnace in the basement den has no chimney or exhaust pipe to evacuate the buildup of fumes and CO2 that occurs once you turn it on. It is certainly not anything one should leave on all night as a heat source. If one reads the welcome/instructions letter from the owners, you are cautioned to "crack a window", which obviously defeats the purpose and allows cold air to enter the space. The bedding was so firm and hard (with the exception of 1 bed on the main floor bedroom) it was difficult to sleep comfortably in the master suite king upstairs. Memory foam, or whatever the mattress material is, must be an acquired taste - one with which we had no familiarity, and after becoming familiar with it, no desire to ever sleep on it again. The gas cooktop had to be lit with a lighter (provided) as the electric/spark igniters aren't working.Great location and potential. The bottle of "two buck Chuck" wine was surprisingly decent.

We loved this house! Very nice touches throughout and awesome that it was decorated for Christmas! Only two things that would possibly improve it is more seating on the main level and if the hot tub was working. That aside this house is awesome and we’d stay there again for sure!

Was a beautiful cabin and close to everything.

We were disappointed to find that the hot tub was broken during our stay (which we didn’t find out about until after the cancellation deadline. I never heard back regarding what could be done to accommodate us cost wise since that was a main reason for renting the house.
The house didn’t feel super clean. There is a heavy musty smell upon entering the basement. It didn’t seem as though the deck is ever swept or the rails wiped…there were very aged spider webs (while I realize that is an exterior area, it was clear the webs never get taken care of). The coffee pot still had the previous renters grounds in it. We never used that pot for that reason. There was a broken glass left in the cupboard as well, so it just didn’t feel like the cleaning company is very thorough.
Evolve isn’t super swift about responding either. I’d much rather deal directly with a homeowner than a company.

Beautiful chalet with all the amenities! Plenty of extras as well such as coffee, cozy blankets, shampoo and body wash. It's a great place to have your coffee on the deck surrounded by beautiful mountains. The kitchen is on the second floor so anyone planning to stay should be able to climb stairs. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful, clean home with great decorations for Christmas! This home is not high in the mountains….but it still has pretty views! Everything was clean and a welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch! The only downside was the size of the living area/dining area. Most of the space is for sleeping spaces but not a lot of “hang out” space for a house that sleeps so many guests! In warmer weather there is ample deck space to extend the living area. We had three teens with our family of five and it would’ve been great to have more space to be together…the living room seats three (loveseat plus an oversized chair). But for a smaller party it would be perfect! It’s a beautiful, well maintained home.

The property is as advertised. It was well equipped and the beds were great. It was not a steep drive and close to Boone and convenient to ski slopes, Grandfather Mountain and Linville attractions and the parkway too. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin but would probably stay somewhere else next time
The cabin was adorable but there were a few issues. Nothing major though. The hot tub wasn’t working, which we knew, but we came back one night and there were maintenance people working on it, to our surprise at night. It would have been nice to be informed there would be someone there working other than pulling up at night to random strangers at the cabin. Also, there were things pictured, like a big table for games in the family room that wasn’t there. You can also see a lot of neighbors that the pictures clearly left off. Although the cabin was clean, there were things that could’ve been cleaner like cobwebs and dust on the light fixtures and things like that. I own a cleaning business so I notice weird stuff though. My towels had holes in them and my daughter had stains. It might just be time to buy new towels. We enjoyed staying in Boone though and had a great time!!

Beautiful mountain home!
We traveled up with another family with small children to visit Tweetsie. We were a quick drive from downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. The house is very easily accessible and an easy drive from town. Although we ate out for all meals, it was nice to see a stocked kitchen if we were interested in cooking. The owners also left a handwritten note and a bottle of wine that the moms were thankful for once the babies were asleep!
This house as also very child friendly. It was easy to close off doors/areas to keep small children contained. The layout allowed each family to have their own living areas and bathrooms without being on top of one another. We loved the views of the mountain while also not being a long way from stores/restaurants. Beautiful home and we hope to return and stay again next year for our annual Tweetsie visit.

Awesome cabin
The view is amazing cabin is in a great location, close to any activities you want to do. The house is awesome and well equipped, if you like brewing coffee you might want to bring a coffee maker the house has a kuerrig tho. The fire pit is a hit just wish the hot tub was working, we will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home.

Quiet cabin in the woods.
We had a wonderful time at this home. The set up worked well for our family. Three couples and each had their own bathroom.
The kitchen was tight but we managed to cook our dinners there and had fun doing it. We brought our own knives and baking sheets, which were needed. The grill is small but fit the bill for us. There are plenty of pots and pans, two toasters and a Keurig coffee pot but not a drip pot. The non-functioning hot tub and dryer were disappointing. The location was great and we had a great time hiking, tubing and visiting a winery.

Just right
I stayed here while attending a virtual conference. It was quiet, just the right size, clean and well-equipped. The internet was adequate for my zoom calls and I had no connectivity problems.
The location was great as well - just a few minutes from Boone and only a 20-30 minute drive to Banner Elk/Linville/Blowing Rock, made everything accessible.
And relaxing in the hot tub at night was a perfect end to the day. It did take quite a while for the hot tub to get up to temperature, but if you plan ahead it was well worth it.

Fabulous Family Trip
The cabin was wonderful! It perfectly accommodated the 8 of us. I love that all the bedrooms were on different floors providing privacy. It had everything you would want to include, Hot Tub, fire pit, and a fireplace. Our Property manager was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The other positive thing was it was only 10 minutes from Appalachian College, but he could hear a rooster crowing every morning

Beautiful Mountain Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Everything was very clean and comfortable! We enjoyed the hot tub and took advantage of the board games located downstairs. The only complaint we had was the shower heads. The water that came out was only a mist which made washing and rinsing a head full of hair very difficult. Other than that, we will definitely stay again!

Excellent Stay in Boone!
This property had it all . . . proximity to Boone, comfortable private bedrooms and bathrooms, a well-stocked home in regard to towels, toiletries and kitchen essentials, and fabulous house managers. Communication was immediate and helpful when needed. Homey cabin decor and updated amenities. Would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely place in a convenient spot
This review is a bit late, but hopefully still helpful....
We stayed at this property this August and had a great time. The place is lovely and the outdoor sitting space was a highlight. We enjoyed most of our meals on the deck, where you got beautiful sunset views. The location is also convenient... views of the mountains and close to all the outdoor activities you might want (tubing, rafting, hiking, wineries) while still close to Boone if you need anything from "in town" (check out Sticky Boy Bread Company!). In case others are wondering, the pictures don't show a hot tub, though one is advertised in the listing. We confirmed before we went that there was a working hot tub; the pictures just happened to be shot before it was put in. We enjoyed using it at night! Internet and cell service works well, and the roku tv was also really convenient.

Comfortable Stay in the Luxurious Cabin
The cabin has been built tastefully with brand new things .. from comfortable beds to kitchen cutlery and appliances. We enjoyed the Fire place and had really comfortable stay!
Kids were overjoyed to sleep in separate bedroom with great beds and blankets.
Really loved the farmhouse rustic decor of the cabin!
The only thing needed to fix was hot water ... May be there was some timer and after 11 am, it took time for water to heat.. Other than that cabin was perfect with Smokey views in the morning.
Thank you!
