With upwards of 30 craft breweries (that number is always changing), including the Southeastern headquarters of both Sierra Nevada and New Belgium breweries, Asheville is heaven for beer lovers and connoisseurs.Asheville is also a hotbed of locally owned restaurants, and is often called a “foodie paradise”. The Zagat restaurant guide rated it Number 30 on its list of The 30 Most Exciting Food Cities in America in 2017. There are 700 or so restaurants in the city, with delicacies ranging from Thai to Ethiopian to French to Southern cuisine, and everything in between.

The Farmhouse was beautiful and we got a lot of use out of the massive and comfortable front porch, watching some summer rain storms. We had a lovely stay!

Loved the space; loved getting some idea of the history of Moog. We walked to the popular Farmer’s Market and there’s good food and custard ice cream within walking distance on Merriman. Biggest forest of paw paw trees in the back! Amazing to see.

The house was in need of some work..I swept the porch and cleaned off the outside furniture and the top of the porch rail that had marine from other peoples cups etc...I really did not like opening the bathroom cabinets and finding I guess whatever other guests had left in the cabinets. The drain did work in the bathroom sink..we tried to tape up the front of the kitchen sink but that whole cabinet needs some work,,I did not want to put this online but I guess I expected much more for the money. That being said our party was great and the location was very good for us.

Check-in was easy. The property is in a woodsy area and slightly difficult to locate but it is worth the trouble because it feels secluded and the views are gorgeous with equally lovely walking and running trails nearby. The bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept well. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and eating utensils and it was immaculate. It was over 90• while we were there but the front porch was shaded and comfortable and the a/c did an excellent job cooling the house. Not within walking distance of downtown but the drive is an easy 10 minutes. My group of active women aged 40-75 had a great time and would happily stay at the Moog House again.

We had a girls weekend in Asheville and picked this house for the size and location. The location was perfect for everything we did. The house had 4 nice sized bedrooms. The house was very clean. We had a snafu with our arrival instructions but the owner jumped right on it once he realized there was an issue.
We will definitely book this home again.

My friends and I came to town as we all turn 40 in the near future. We had an excellent time exploring Asheville and it was super easy to get everywhere we wanted to from the house.
The house itself was great as we had enough room to spread out and space to gather together when we wanted to hang out and enjoy the company. Would book again!

Came to watch our son run in the marathon. Perfect for our family of 8. Away from the busiest areas but quick to get places afterwards.

We loved our Christmas here with our adult children and their partners. We were able to spread out and enjoy different activities like cookie decorating and board games. Already considering booking next year

We had a wonderful time staying in the Moog farmhouse. Easy access to all our activities. The beds were super comfortable and we had everything we need.
Ben was amazing and very responsive to our inquiries.
Our only surprise was there’s a tenant upstairs and downstairs. I probably just missed that on the listing.

Fantastic!

The Moog house is excellently updated and furnished. Beds are comfortable, and host Ben is friendly. Location was fantastic for trips into downtown. I would absolutely go back!

We enjoyed our stay in Asheville. The house was comfortable and clean and well located. I missed in the description that there were other tenants in the house, but they were quiet and didn't impact our stay at all. We had a great time visiting with family.

Excellent location to downtown Asheville for brewery hopping, concerts, restaurants. It’s hard to find a house with 4 master bedrooms that’s not super expensive. Only two full baths but we made it work. Great time!

Good location, beautiful area, close to town and freeways. It is an old refurbished farmhouse, clean but a little quirky.

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and fully stocked. All the beds were comfortable and the location was great! My son, 28, felt someone lightly grab his thigh in the middle of the night. Bill? Lol

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The property was well-maintained, it included everything we could need on our trip, and the house was a short drive from everything we wanted to do. The owner, Ben, was so responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

My family has a great stay. The property is big and feels secluded. The front porch is also large and is a great place to spend time especially when it rains. The living areas felt spacious enough for our family to spend time together. The kitchen was well appointed and we were easily able to cook large dinners for our family. Quick response from Ben, the property manager, when we ran out of toilet paper. He sent it over via Uber and it arrived in 15 minutes.

The property is close to grocery shopping and downtown. It is good value for the money. Lighting in the kitchen is a bit dim, making it a little hard on these old eyes.

Perfect Bike Adventure
The farmhouse was a perfect retreat for Yankees visiting to ride bikes up Mount Mitchell. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and the AC units were fabulous. The wildlife visiting the property was such fun to watch! The turkeys were hilarious hanging out in the trees, and a bear strolled by on the road one morning!
The host was an excellent communicator through the process and we all enjoyed our stay very much. Heads up for folks visiting from flat areas--the steep curvy driveway to the farmhouse was daunting the first time down, but you learn pretty quickly how to navigate the terrain.

Long weekend
Experience was good, overall. 1 couple couldn’t stay, do to illness, but other 3 couples enjoyed exploring and restaurants.

Such a lovely place
My friends and I loved everything about this place. It was beautiful, lots of books everywhere, gorgeous two-story greenhouse. And since we love to cook we were also quite impressed with the cooking oils and spices on hand. Great place all around and we were sorry to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at the wild turkeys we're a bonus.
We wish there was more to sit on than just the swing on the front porch. There were 6 adults and nowhere to sit

Bach parties be aware, tenants live under same roof - Amazing property and location
The neighborhood was beautiful and in a great location. Ben was very help and provided prompt answers to any questions and was able to get us into the house early. The only thing that I felt was misleading was in regards to the tenants "living in auxiliary units on premise". I took this to mean they lived in a different structure outside the house we were staying in. This thought was reaffirmed when Ben messaged me the overall rules stating "Please keep in mind there are two tenants in other units at the property". With a farmhouse, its reasonable to assume there are multiple houses on the property. In fact, the tenants live above and below the rental space, which wasn't a major deal, but I wouldn't have booked this house had I had known. This was not an ideal setup for a bachelor party; not that they complained of noise, but just in general. Also stuffing 14 people in this place seems a bit tough. We only had 12 and didn't have enough places for everyone to sleep but again, its a bachelor party and anything can be overcome at a bachelor party. All in all, we did have a great stay in Asheville and very much appreciated the stay at Ben's place.

My family had a great time. We had 3 kids and 6 adults. There was plenty of space for everyone to do what they wanted whether you wanted social time or alone time. The kitchen space was great for making breakfast. It is well-equipped. We had three cars and never had any trouble with parking.
Ben was a great host. He answered my questions timely and kindly. Would definitely stay again!

Nice Place
The House is in a really convenient spot and the property is really nice. It's in Asheville proper but feels like it is tucked back into the woods. Easy access to all of Asheville.

This house was great! It doesn't get much better for the price. It was secluded but also close to everything we wanted to do in town...would definitely recommend it.

We loved everything about this house! The rooms were comfortable, the location was close to everything, and Ben was great! Lot of local history on the property.

Gorgeous Farmhouse Minutes from Asheville!
We loved staying at this property! It’s definitely an older home but has so much charm. It’s been mostly updated and having four king beds is so helpful and nice. Ben was very easy to communicate with and provided his cell phone number in the chance we needed anything. Everything was well stocked so we were good to go! All five of the adults and children who stayed here would do so again. It was a great getaway!

Charming Farmhouse in the City
This beauty of a home has all the character and warmth you would expect and some pleasant surprises. The familiar snap of the screen door welcomes you with the ease of an old friend. Crossing the threshold, you are met with a blend of modern farmhouse that feels warm and inviting on a fall evening. We hosted a dinner one night with several of our students that now attend UNC-A and the kitchen and dining room had everything we needed for a fun evening. Sitting around the table I remarked that this was the perfect setting to reconnect and build new memories.

We had the best time
Everything about our stay was great. The house is awesome! We had a bachelorette party here and 10 girls fit comfortably. So much fun and our host was so helpful and nice. Thank you!

Super cute, great location!
This property was great for our out of town family from around the US. 9 of us came for a long weekend to celebrate a family member’s wedding. Was about 10 minutes from the venue, Homewood. The listing is very accurate and communication with host Ben was wonderful! We enjoyed the backyard fire pit one night and with the grocery store being a quick 5 minute drive, had s’mores and cooked meals at home. Great location to enjoy beautiful and fun parts of the city. Very cute and well put together house—our family kept walking around exclaiming how much they loved it! Thanks for a great stay!

It was the perfect spot for our sibling getaway. Such comfortable, cool rooms and beds for each of us! A nice big sectional couch and pullout futon for the kids, which they loved. It was great having a smart TV in each room. Not to mention the sheer charm and amenities of the kitchen and dining room. The yard and greenhouse just made it so refreshing. And we loved seeing the wild turkeys walk around the yard with their babies!
The location 5 minutes or less from some of the hottest restaurants, 13 minutes from downtown Asheville, and 40 minutes from the Pisgah national forest… and yet you felt like you were in the middle of the woods (although for the summer, the trees blocked any view of the mountains).
We got to go to the sliding rock and waterfalls one day and explore downtown the next! We felt like we got to do everything we came to do, thanks to this wonderful spot.
The one thing I would advise, especially if you have young kids, is that there are 2 tenants who live there. We met one who was very sweet and gave us tons of local advice on where to eat and what to do. We just felt nervous about our young children being too loud. We did the best we could keeping them quiet but it is an old house with creaky wooden floors that carries sound, and one tenant lives in the basement. So hopefully we didn’t bother them too much! But all in all I give this 5 stars!
