it was quite and peaceful
that there was no A/C and that it was so hot out and there was nothing on there website about no A/C. Also no sheets for our bed and nothing about that either.

I drive a vehicle that is low to the ground and a manual. Nowhere in the ad or description did it mention it was on a rutty, muddy dirt road with no gravel or that I would need something more than a two wheel drive. When I mention this to the “host” she said “of course it’s a dirt road we are in the mountains!” I grew up in the Appalachian mountains, I live 45 minutes from the Smokey mountains and I currently live in the Cumberland mountains. I don’t need a lesson on mountains. We chose to stay there while we were in the area for a veterans funeral. When I mention this and We wouldn’t be able to stay there she was less than sympathetic and said “I don’t know what to tell you.” Right after mentioning we would be fine as long at it’s not raining. It was literally snowing at that moment. Her solution was for us to “park at the top of the hill and walk down” in the mud. My traveling partner is an elderly lady who was unable to walk down the hill on a good day let alone in the mud. She did have us drive around to our cabin and park in front on a muddy hill between two trees. On the way to the cabin my car drug and there were several times we almost got stuck. My boyfriend was on his motorcycle and definitely would not have been able to navigate the terrain. The host was rude and unwilling to provide a refund.

Such a great spot with the kindest hosts. Cool bit of history too, cabins were relocation from old lake location, very homey and ties in so well to nature adventures compared to a hotel. Will definitely be staying again
Nothing needs to be better in my opinion. Just keep in mind you’ll need to bring towels, if cooking there are pots pans and nice dishes but you’ll need your own tinfoil, seasonings etc. luckily there is a very nice Giant grocery close by.
