This location is the perfect jumping off point for many of the activities we wanted to participate in on the southern Oregon/northern California coast. It is a quick trip down to Crescent City and the Redwood forest as well as up to the Bandon dunes. Brookings has all the services you could need and is only a short drive away without having to fight all the crowds along the northern Oregon coast.
The duplex itself is well appointed and was the perfect size for our family of four. The ocean waves can be clearly heard from the open sliding door on the balcony day and night and the highway noise was minimal for its proximity to the unit. Access to the beach was easy in August.
We would stay here again.

Beautiful roomy home with a bit of an ocean view. We loved this house, from check in, which was a breeze, to check out, everything was perfect. The home was extremely clean and spacious. The amenities were perfect. We felt very safe in the quiet neighborhood, which seems like it is all rentals. Saw a few neighbors during the week, but the neighborhood really fills up during the weekend, lots of families which made me wish we stayed through the weekend so my son could play with some of the other kids. The beach access is right down the street which we fully took advantage of, however being from the Florida Keys, no swimming for us. The beach was very walkable and we spent an entire day collecting rocks, chasing waves and watching the seals. Fairly certain you can have a fire on the beach at night, we didn’t, but when we come back I will definitely research this. Great place and great memories made! Cannot recommend enough.

We enjoyed our time and the kids had a blast! Close to the beach and very quiet!

This house has ample plates, glasses, silverware, etc. so we didn’t have to keep washing dishes and that’s saying something for 5 of us for a week. There's also lots of different kinds of chairs, couches and snack tables that made it quite comfortable for us. The Adirondacks on the balcony were especially appreciated.

We were given wrong instructions & password to enter our rental. It took nearly an hour to get through your network to talk to someone, and it took them at least 15 minutes to find the correct information and password.

Great place to stay. Location was awesome, house was very nice. We did have a problem with the door code when we arrived. Called the phone number that I received in a text and the issue was taken care of right away.

Awesome location. Beach is a few houses down with a decent enough view.
We’ve stayed in the one next door too. I think I liked the furniture in this one a bit more.
The upstairs bed was VERY comfortable.
Looked like some dude before us complained about the hot tub being dirty so they nuked it (touch too much chlorine- but I would have done the same based on the last review) the cover they have for the hot tub is called a cavana; really neat system! Makes it very easy to get setup/put away.
Internet was dead when we arrived and I sorted it out myself (we came in kinda late and didn’t want to bother) but the Wi-Fi settings looked like they’ve been reset (heads up to Matthew, dude that runs it) I’m sure they’ll have it fixed for whoever’s behind.
Fireplace worked great. Tv was good enough to watch the Thursday night football.
We had dinner at the landing north. Fantastic food, $100 for two w drinks and tip. Took about an hour for food though.
Had lunch at The barnacle bistro. Pretty good food as well; much quicker.
We came to find some driftwood for the fish tank we are doing. Perfect beach to find stuff like that (and rocks!)
All in all, great stay- very comfortable. I’ve always had a tough time with some rentals because the furniture is uncomfortable; but this was furnished nicely. Kitchen well stocked.
Someone mentioned the smell downstairs. I mean… it’s there; but if you’re not a sob it’s more than livable.
Bring your own shampoo if you’re going to stay more than a few days… leave your towels and beach towels at home. They’re stocked. Also- pillows are very fluffy; if you like em flat- bring yours.
(Didn’t use the grill; the one next door we used last time and it was fine)

What is advertised in the listing as an ocean view across the street is now an active construction site, which was not disclosed by Vacasa. Had I known, we would not have booked this property. It was so loud during the day, we had to keep the windows and doors closed and could still hear the noise indoors. After dealing extensively with Vacasa (who refused to move us and never returned phone calls), I would not stay in one of their properties again.

We saw a seal swimming down the coast on last AM there!

Loved our stay! I brought my mom here as a Mother's Day getaway, she has Alzheimer's. She loved it! The only bummer was there was no propane for the grill. We were really looking forward to grilling. By the time we found out there was no propane, it was too late for Vacasa to do anything. They did as much as they could and I appreciated the effort. Timing was just bad. No big deal, we used the oven. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This townhouse has a great location a block from beach entrances in either direction. It has a very nice open kitchen, dining and living plan which worked well for six adults and a dog. The Mermaid decor is charming and the place was very clean. I enjoyed the jacuzzi and it too was very clean. The master bathroom door needs to be repaired so that it completely closes, the dryer needs to be serviced to get rid of a very loud squeal and the bbq should have been supplied with propane. Another concern is that the downstairs smoke alarm is disconnected! We all enjoyed our stay which included fishing, walks on the beach and exploring the beautiful Oregon coastline.

Loved the decor! Loved walking out and the beach is right there! The house is set up with pretty much everything you need! Oh❤️❤️❤️❤️ The HOT TUB!!! Amazing! Always ready and great cover with lights and so easy to open and close! Everyone in our family group loved it and want to stay here every time they are in Gold Beach! Towels ! Extra blankets! Fireplace! Don't think you can get anything better for the price!!!

We did have a couple issues. There was no chlorine for the hot tub and it started to smell. The dryer makes a really loud squeaking sound so you can’t run it at night or in the morning with people sleeping downstairs. Also the propane tank was empty so we weren’t able to barbecue. The beds are comfortable And the showers are nice. Oh also the smoke detectors downstairs we’re all going off when we arrived there were no extra batteries and I had to disconnect them all it was so annoying that it was driving our dogs crazy.

We were five friends hiking the last stretch of the Oregon Coast Trail. This house was perfect for us complete with all the comforts. We loved the hot tub after a day of hiking and three bathrooms were needed. The property manager was especially responsive to our needs. Thank you!

Found the property to be in need of cleaning and upkeep.
Sent a email to Vacasa about the problems but no response.

The location is awesome, on the beach. The house was clean, and comfortably furnished. Bathrooms and kitchen clean and modern. Balcony with view of the ocean. Easy to use smart TV. Hot tub that works well and easy to access. This is a place we would love to return to. Excellent for a family of up to six people.

I loved that the house was exactly what was advertised. You could walk onto the upstairs deck and sip your morning coffee while watching the waves calmly roll up on the beach. You are in walking distance of the beach entry point. The surrounding neighbors were nice and respectful of quiet times. The house, inside, was clean and not overly decorated. My grandson loved the blue and purple mermaid ‘skin’ pillow. It was so nice that I would return again. Thank you.

Be ready to go shopping for absolutely everything you need in the kitchen other than spices! Including extra toilet paper! Also take a look under the beds and couches for dust bunnies and all candy wrappers that were missed by cleaning crew. Other than that the house was absolutely beautiful, and in an amazing location!

The location of this property was great, with easy access to both the beach as well as Hwy 101. The beds were very comfortable as was the couch with nice views of the ocean. The fireplace and hot tub were nice bonuses. They even provide beach towels.
There were just a couple of cons: The master bedroom (upstairs) door to the master bath wouldn't shut all the way, making it difficult for one person to get ready for the day without disturbing their partner. Also, the heater in the purple bedroom (downstairs) quit working on the final night. The property manager (listed in the property book as well as on the refrigerator) was contacted about these issues via email, but he never responded.
Bottom line - I would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. However, due to the lack of responsiveness as well as the odd billing (some being charged by Vacasa, some by Vrbo), I would think twice before booking another Vacasa property.

We loved our stay - home was nicely set up.
Had a small issue and contacted Matthew - he was awesome and responded quickly!
there is a vacant lot across the street which gave us a nice open view to the beach. Property has great beach access.
The only thing I'd recommend would be to allow guests to use garage door opener - it was a bit of a hassle going in and out of the house to open/close garage door.

Great townhouse
We loved staying at the townhouse for a couples weekend away. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, and cutely decorated home. My only complaint is the hot-tub it was great having one but they need keep it up the chemicals up and changing the water as needed. It was smelly and had a slimy feel to it.

Pro: We loved our stay here, it was absolutely amazing, had everything you needed from comfortable beds to beach towels and all the kitchen appliances you could need. No complaints
Cons: the hot tub was not working and they had to have someone come out and fix it which didn’t get done until the third day of our four day trip. We booked this place because of the hot tub so that was sad but I do understand that things happen. And was told we would get a reimbursement of some kind. Which is very nice of them. Over all I would absolutely stay here again it was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. :)
