My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary this last weekend and it was so lovely. I was worried about privacy since it was right on the road, but it isn't a high traffic area at all and most of the time it felt like we were all alone on a mountain top. It was so cute and just what we needed, and on top of that its only a few minutes from the downtown Wimberley area which we were at a lot, and about 15-20 to several swimming areas we went to including blue hole, jacobs well, and cypress creek falls. This city is a magical little gem, and this cabin made the experience that much more special. The host were very helpful and responded quickly when I had a few logistical questions, which was great. Definitely recommend for a couples weekend spot.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. We loved everything about it. The only thing I will recommend the owner is for the kitchen pictures to be renewed. My wife is a cook and we had bought items to make breakfast - well there was no stove as the picture had indicated. Unfortunately we had to throw away some of the groceries - not all. However, we enjoyed our anniversary stay here and would book again in the future. We loved it!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a long weekend. The bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in any rental ever! It was a great location to everything we did; shopping, eating, zip lining, breweries. The outside was perfect to relax and enjoy the sounds of the night. My only complaint for this cabin is the shower, it had no water pressure and the hot water was lukewarm at the most otherwise I’d stay again!

There was dust on the air conditioner above the bed....there was no closet for hanging or placing garments. The couch needs to be replaced....filthy. The "refrigerator" is a small cooler type and the freezer was iced over and could not hold a small bag of ice. Even there is an outdoor firepit, which is one of the reasons I booked the place, could not be used based upon the instructions on the inside of the cabin. Would never stay there again, and I certainly will not recommend this property to anyone.

We loved the little cabin’s location and the quiet evenings we got to spend around the fire pit and the hot tub. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh. It was a great way to relax and recharge. Cabin was also close enough to enjoy some local eats, shops and drinks. However, we found the cleanliness of the place to be a bit disappointing, especially since a cleaning fee is included in our pricing. The window unit and some light fixtures had dust build up. The floors were very gritty especially in the bathroom. The bathroom also had mold looking buildup behind the toilet near the shower. The dishes all needed to washed out before use from the amount of dust in the space.

Canyon Vista was a great place to stay. The host needs to take care of some things: the batteries in the remotes were all dead, even the clock on the wall had dead batteries, only one burner on the stove works, no firewood for the firepit, no coffee, 8 different remotes, again with either no batteries or dead batteries. There were no instructions on how to use anything.

This is a great place to stay and overall give it a 4/5. There were quite a few moths that were inside the cabin and was sometimes annoying dealing with them. The only other complaint was the bedroom has no door to it. Other than those things the cabin was great for my wife and I as a little gateway. Would book again for the same price. Hot tub is a huge bonus!

Cozy cabin, very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable! Nice hot tub out back behind the cabin. Very quite, enjoy the stars at night while relaxing in the hot tub. Very easy check in. The town was beautiful and nice friendly people. Very affordable.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for a few days. We wanted something more secluded with a cabin feel. This was perfect nestled up a windy wooded road towards the top withe very little presence of cars or neighbors. The cabin was perfect but we did not really cook meals. It had a nice smaller refrigerator and microwave but older small stove we didn’t use. Bed was comfortable and room was cozy. The bathroom was cramped, small older shower and toilet but was fine for us for we were looking for older rustic place. Towels and all amenities were perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoying the hot tub, beautiful views,and being so close to downtown with so many shops and good restaurants . A few negatives for us were we arrived early to shop and eat but our email said if we anrrived earlier than 4 ,we would be charged 50 for each hour before. We also thought 10:00 was too early for a checkout. We have never been asked to leave a place before 11. We knew the weather would be perfect so we enjoyed sightseeing, the hot tub and outdoors. If we were looking for an indoor getaway retreat I would look for a bigger updated bathroom and updated stove/ oven for cooking. We were happy with our stay for what we were looking to escape busy traffic and enjoy a peaceful nature stay.There is no closet space but they did offer many unique hooks and organizers for hanging clothes with towels.

The cabin was so cute and perfect for a quick two day trip. I wish there were more comfy blankets around but other than that it was sooo nice. The hot tub was fantastic!!! Such a relaxing way to end the night.

Loved watching the sun set from the front porch then to the hot tub till 3 am. Tell people bring cds to have music by pool in cd player and tell them tv is tiny but u can bring dvds and watch ur own porn on it. Also 2 cats live there outside but we also saw a large gray fox that came up to eat the food i put out for the cats. It stayed close to us till i tried to take a pic of it. Lol love the privacy and the view and the hot tub too. We will be back for future visits. We refered others to come see it too. Do not try to find this property after really dark cause u cant see street names if u take a wrong turn.

Over all we enjoyed our stay very small, cozy cabin. We loved the area and the veiw we only had 2 problems...out of the 4 stove tops 2 didnt work and 1 was really crooked so cooking took a bit longer and the hot tub had a very weird strong smell once we took the cover off so we didn't get to use it at all.

The house was not as nice inside as the pictures show. The shower head does not turn and points towards the wall. Not sure why it hasn’t been replaced. That’s an inexpensive fix. The hot tub was not cleaned, so we were unable to use it. The shower floor is stained and needs cleaning. Just a few little inexpensive updates would go a long way.

My wife and I stayed overnight to visit our son and his wife and new baby that live in the area. Checking in and out was easy. We enjoyed our stay. Everything worked. Enjoyed watching the deer walk by as we drank our morning coffee on the porch. If you want a “brand new” cabin you may want to look elsewhere. It’s rustic but that was ok with us. We would return.

Other than that the water froze just after a few hours of checking in, and this definitely caused an inconvenience, and unfortunately we had to cut our holiday vacation short, the property manager was very helpful, yet, due to mother nature’s freezing temps, it was out of their control. We would love to visit again, but in warmer weather conditions. By the way, we went for our Christmas vacation and weather is pretty unpredictable this time of year. Overall, would highly recommend this location

While we had fun during our stay, the property was not as advertised. It was said to be secluded, but there were neighbors right out the front door. The fireplace was a space heater, but I still enjoyed the aesthetic. The shower was tiny, uncomfortably so. The toilet was gross. There was dust on many of the fixtures. The couch was also tiny, but comfy. There was no back door to the hot tub, so you had to walk in full view of the neighbors to get to the hot tub. The hot tub itself was nice, though. The kitchen did not have a full fridge, just a mini one. There were also electrical cords draped precariously over the stove. Being in the trees was nice and the drive was pretty, but overall, I was disappointed with this stay.

The property was a nice get away for my wife and myself. We were looking for the small cabin trip and we found it here. My one and only complaint is simple, being a 6’2” 300lb body builder my diet consists of lots of protein so I always have to bring in a lot of meat, eggs, milk, etc with me….. I was sorely disappointed in the very tiny fridge. There was hardly any room and I had to play Tetris with my food and leave some out to be cooked before I was ready for it so it didn’t spoil. The shower was small but I’m used to those problems. The hot tub was old but nice to relax in during the evening. Overall it was enjoyable just bring a cooler with you if much food is brought in.

Beautiful property outside. Enjoyed stargazing and relaxing in the hammock. Burn ban in effect, so was not allowed to use fire pit. But enjoyed our morning coffee in Adirondack chairs. Toilet could be cleaned or replaced; otherwise it was a peaceful and quiet weekend!
