About this cabin rental
If you are looking for a quiet getaway, look no further
A quiet getaway, very close to all of what Crosslake has to offer, but is located on a quite lake perfect for peace and relaxation!
-Location-
This quiet cabin is located at the end of a road, on a peninsula surrounded by water on both sides. You can watch the sun rise over the water from one deck in the morning and watch it set over the water from another in the evening. Located next to the whitefish chain, it gives guest access to all of the great amenities of Crosslake, without the noise and boating traffic of being on the chain. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and immerse yourself in the nature of northern Minnesota, this is your place. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party, this isn't the place for you.
-Lake-
The lake is 77 acres with a max depth of 24 feet. There is no public access and no place on the property to launch a boat. There are several other lakes close by with public accesses. There are also pontoon and jet ski rentals nearby. We do however offer kayaks and stand up paddle boards to explore and enjoy the lake. The cabin is located on a shallow bay that offers great kayaking, but not the best swimming because of the natural environment of the lake.
-Cabin-
The cabin offers three large bedrooms, all featuring king size beds with memory foam mattresses (lower level bedroom also includes a futon, and upper level bedrooms have a walkout to a covered deck)
All bedrooms and main living area have smart TV's, allowing you to log into your favorite streaming service.
The kitchen comes ready to go with all dishes and utensils needed to cook meals. Included are a slow cooker, pancake griddle, coffee maker and toaster. There is no dishwasher.
Grill - There is a pellet grill available for your use, owner does not supply pellets but if pellets are there, you are welcome to use them.
There is no laundry in the unit. There is a laundromat in town if needed.
-Parking-
All vehicles and trailers must be parked within the driveway. there is room for up to 3-4 vehicles depending on size. There is no parking on the street (you will be towed), no parking in the yard, and no parking on the turn around area on the road coming in (private property, will be towed)
-Summer Fun –
The cabin is located on a calm bay with plenty of nature. We offer 3 kayaks and 2 stand up paddle boards (some life jackets are provided, but please bring your own to ensure proper fit and safety). Get out and explore the lake or simply just relax and enjoy the view. Crosslake is less than ten minutes away and offers much to do (Ice cream, hiking, mini golf, golf, music in the park, Army Corps beach and recreation area, restaurants, grocery/meat market, Ace Hardware)
-Winter Fun –
The cabin is located very close to miles of snowmobile trails, cross country ski, and snowshoe trails. Bring your ice auger and go ice fishing, or just hide away and watch the snow fall in the cozy cabin. If you are visiting in the winter, please note that there is an uphill path to get to the front door and it typically is packed snow during the winter months. Also, the road leading to cabin does not get salted to protect the lake, and there is a slight hill, an all-wheel drive vehicle is not necessary, but is helpful for peace of mind.
-Pets-
You may bring up to two well behaved dogs. They must be leashed/attended when outside and kenneled indoors when away. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture. Pet owners are expected to clean up after their dogs. Owners must ensure pets stay off of neighbors property. If noise complaints are received regarding pets other arrangements must be made for them
-Video Surveillance-
For the security of the property and to assist guests as needed, there is a ring doorbell camera set up at the front door facing the walking path to cabin.

Loved the property, the rooms and king beds were exactly what we needed. The host was very prompt and courteous with message responses. Recommended.

The check in and lock system was so nice and easy. Cabin was clean and had fresh flowers. Love the view from both decks. Lots of toys and baby amenities which was very nice. Would have preferred a 11:00 check out time. Our morning was very rushed especially with the little ones. A few suggestions, dish cloths and dish towels should be provided. Tin foil and a few baggies would have been a nice touch and saved us a trip to the store. Our family enjoyed our stay in the cute cabin. We were there mornings and evenings mostly. We spent our days on Crosslake that was close by. Of course our time went by way too fast.

We had an amazing stay, our girls trip was great with so many surrounding places to go. The cabin was very clean and cozy to stay in! Many amenities that it offered in case you forgot a basic kitchen need!

This cabin was a great place to stay. We could tell they have put a lot of time, money, and thought into the decor and the sleeping arrangements. All 3 bedrooms have king beds. That alone is a rarity in vacation rentals. The area is quiet. There is plenty of space inside the cabin as well as a great deck to enjoy that overlooks the dock. Aaron was prompt with his responses and a great host. I would recommend this stay to anyone. Note: As mentioned in the description, the lake is not ideal for swimming. There is however a great place to swim at Pelican Beach. We were able to put our pontoon in and anchor outside the swim area and the water is only chest deep. We were able to have people get on and off the pontoon, float right next to it, or just stand in the water.

My family rented this cabin over thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. It was clean, really comfortable, great views of two lakes and it felt very homey. I would bring my own pillow (which I always do anyway) but otherwise everything is there. Aaron was quick to respond and made us feel welcomed.

We were a group of six ladies on a girls weekend. The cabin was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped with all kitchen items one would need. Scenery was beautiful! We hope to stay here again. Host was ver prompt in responding to any questions we had. Highly recommend!

This was a great cabin and location for our annual girls weekend. We enjoyed having our own bedrooms for when we wanted to be alone and the open concept of the rest for when we wanted to be together.
Everything was clean and we had everything we needed right there.
The only drawback was the noisy water pump but we were able to ignore it for the most part.

We were in town for a wedding. House was exactly as described. It was clean & roomy. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the decks and the peacefulness of this location.

We came up for a girl’s weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 40th birthday. The cabin was extremely clean with a lot of room. The only downside was when toilets were flushed there was an extremely loud noise coming from what we assumed was a pump. A few extra blankets would have been nice as well. Overall it was beautiful and we really enjoyed our visit.

Exactly as described in listing. Lake area was very weedy. Living room very comfy.

Quiet and clean. The beds were a little hard for our liking and there could have been better pillows. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Especially enjoyed having a deck on both the east and the west.

Lovely, Spacious cabin, extremely comfortable beds, large gathering area with table in the living /kitchen area.
Inviting and clean.
Appreciated 2 bathrooms, one offering a bathtub and modern shower.
Wi-Fi worked excellent, dependable for work.
Early morning, we enjoyed stepping out on the deck outside our bedroom, and watching the sun rise.
Appreciated the comfortable deck chairs and coffee table.
Beautiful way to begin the day.
The second deck facing the lake saw much shade, but the evening sunset through the trees was gorgeous.
Grateful for the cleanliness of the cabin and the welcoming of our two small dogs.
Each time water is used the sound of the pump is clearly heard. The sound would not keep us from renting, but if you have sensitivity to sound, it may be a good question for the owner.
The calmness of Fawn lake provided a perfect setting for paddle boarding and kayaking. Thankful to find the boards and kayaks in good condition.
We were hoping to fish off the dock/shoreline due to the habitat of the lake, that was not possible. We did see fish, from the paddle board once passed the cove area. We found no access from the cabin / dock/ shoreline to fish on the lake and found that aspect a challenge. Wished we had a row boat.😉
Overall it was a gift to our family to find this rental cabin.
The owner was responsive with communication. We will treasure the time spent in this lovely cabin.

We stayed at this small cabin for 5 weeks and paid the owner $398/night plus the various VRBO fees. The cabin was advertised as two full baths and it was really only 1.5 baths. When we arrived, the microwave did not operate and two of the remotes for TV did not work. It would seem that housekeeping should have resolved these issues so we would not have to get involved. We rent VRBO s for 10 weeks out of the year and this property had little or no supplies of basic household supplies as compared to our normal rentals. Normal lightbulb and battery supplies were not available to replace while we were there. The foot mechanisms on one of the sofas were also inoperable. The property had a washer and dryer on sight but renters were not allowed to used them and were referred to a local laundry mat. The property did not have a septic field and all waters had to be pumped to a storage area whenever the water was used. It then became the responsibility of the renter to contact the owner when the tank had to be pumped. At $400/night, this little fishing cabin was terribly overpriced and we are sorry that we spent this much for a very C+ accommodation.

The property was just as described. We were a family of 6, with 4 adult children. Plenty of space in the driveway to accommodate vehicles and two trailers, as we were riding trails. Host was very responsive and the cabin is perfect. Even though the lake temp was cold, the boys LOVED taking out the kayaks and paddle boards. We had a bonfire one night and met some of the neighbors who were very helpful with the area. HIGHLY recommend staying here - the cabin has everything you need for an up north adventure.

Great property. Was a snowmobiling trip with friends. Cabin was convenient to many trails and town of Crosslake.

Our family of five with one adult and two teenagers was very comfortable here. Loved the three king beds with futon combo. We had lots of fun with winter outdoor activities by day, then cooked, ate evening dinners, played board games at night. Nice to have good WiFi and plenty of tvs for spreading out when everyone wants their own quiet space. Would definitely return!

Cross lake cabin stay
The cabin we stayed at had nice kayaks to use on the lake. The town is not far and has plenty to do. Hiking, fishing, restaurants are all near.
The amenities were all in working condition and we were able to cook outdoors and indoors. There was also a nice fire pit for the evenings.

You never know how the property mNger is going to be until you have a challenge. Aaron was super responsive and made things happen!

Very nice cabin
The cabin itself was great. The area was quiet and we enjoyed ourselves. The lake was very weedy but we were able to kayak.

Tranquility
This is the place for tranquility and beauty. Views from the house and decks were very pretty. The lake level was low due to drought but the water was clear. The kayaks and SUPs included were the perfect way to enjoy the lake and listen to the loons. There is other fun kayaking in the region on the Pine River (Crow Wing Kayaks outfitter) and at Cuyuga Rec Area mine pit lakes.

Good clean property. Close to Breezy and Crosslake.

Lovely Location
Great house ideally located between lots of destinations in the Crosslake Area. Situated on a quiet drive, the house has views of the water from nearly every window. The space is very well organized and tidy, lending itself well to families. The paddle boards and kayaks to explore the lake were a wonderful amenity!

Peaceful getaway!
Booked this cabin last minute so we could get out of town the first weekend our house was on the market. Aaron was very accommodating with early check-in late check-out to work with our crazy showings schedule. Cabin is great and on a very quiet lake. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Quick drive into town to get whatever groceries we needed. Very easy weekend!

Cozy cabin
We rented this property during winter for a little getaway. We enjoyed the warm, cozy cabin and our morning walks out on the ice. It was comfortable and clean. Our kids enjoyed having their own rooms with big TVs and king sized beds to relax in as well as ice fishing on lakes nearby.
